  Uninstall the toolbar Ask and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask and Firefox toolbar that prevents the opening of new tabs.

  Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use the add-on tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.

  Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.

  Notice, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.

  You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.

  First of all, the Flash of the IE is totally different than the flash used in Firefox. You can update one without affecting the other.

  Now, there is a problem right now with Flash 11.3 and 11.4 in Firefox. Downgraded to 10.3 is an acceptable solution for the moment. Adobe publishes the updates (slowly) that solve the problems, but it is not a matter of time before they are all fixed.

  Hello, can you try setting the browser.newtab.url value to "on: newtab ' even once and then run firefox in safe mode, once (see Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to troubleshoot common Firefox) and see if the problem is occurring too... ther other users have reported that extensions like toolbars, Datamngr, ilivevid could be the cause of the issue - take a look in firefox > addons > extensions and uninstall them or any other entry suspect where it shows up.

  Please also delete any entry in the section of /programmes. control panel windows which refers to searchqu and may also use other security like the free version of malwarebytes software to do a full scan of your system.

  More specifically, when I open a new window (CTRL-N), I want a new browser with a blank window and the cursor in the address bar (so I can just start to type the new URL - like Firefox 3.0.3 allowed me to do). In 3.0.3 I was able to set my 'homepage' is empty. I'm more than happy to edit about: config, but impossible to find the right element to change.   RESOLVED (found a workaround at least). If I change everything: browser.startup.homepage config and change to about: empty, so I can leave "tools-> options-> general tab - > start-> start Firefox ' value ' show my windows and tabs from last time" and a new window (CTRL-N) will result in a new blank window with my cursor in the field (ready to type a URL) location. Until now, it was my only real concern after the upgrade to 3.03 - very satisfied 10.0.2 so far, thank you Mozilla!
