  Just like the title says, when I try to press a combination of: caps lock shift + space + E, E key is not broadcast.

  Pressing any other key (Q, W, R, T, Y, U) works very well.

  I noticed this only happens with the space bar on the left side, the right one to work properly.

  I understand that you have found some suggestions on editing the registry - they aren't so bad. If you don't want to download all of the files that allow you to disable the LOCKING of the capital LETTERS, you can create it by yourself:

  1. Press the Windows key + R > type notepad , and then press enter
  2. Paste to Notepad:
     

     Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

     [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout]
     "Scancode Map" = hex: 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 02, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 3A, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00

  3. File > record under...
     • Select to Save as: all files
     • Enter the file name : disable_caps_lock.reg
     • Click Save
  4. Right-click on the created file > merge
  5. Restart your system

  In case you want to turn CAPS LOCK on again, you must remove this registry entry, so you must do the following:

  1. Press the Windows key + R > type regedit and press enter
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout
  3. Right click on the Card of Scancode > delete
  4. Restart your system

• That gray box that indicates the volume (not the slider) does not, either made the caps lock notification.

  I don't know what it's called, or I would have probably been able to know how to solve this problem, already, but this is the box that appears momentarily on the screen when I press the volume buttons; It does not appear.  Also when lock shift was there was (before my relocation at all, I think) was a notification similar to the volume box that is not displayed.  I thought that these two things might be related, so I wonder about the two.  Thank you.

  On a compaq laptop presario CQ60-300SO the keyboard stops working after you press the caps lock button. The keyboard does not work once the computer starts, but after going in under the keyboard properties control panel and press the 'OK' button, this will work. Buy keyboard works when the computer RECORDS, so I can't get to BIOS. The keyboard work until windows starts and I activate it via the properties of the keyboard by opening the window and press OK immediately. I also disabled start all programs and services to see if it was a problem caused by a program or service and still no luck. It's a very strange problem.   Having recently replaced my hard drive after the old one fried, my Dell Studio 1555 (Vista) has stopped giving me an alert in the lower right, whenever my shift caps lock is on.   As far as the upper toolbar will, I believe you are referring to the Dell docking station.  You can get that here:http://www.delldock.com/.  Simply download and install on it and you'll have the toolbar (if you have set up to be the settings you had before or what you want now).
