When I put a movie on a cd it will not play on my dvd player
When I did a movie using windows movie maker, when it comes to play on my dvd player it will not work?
Since you have posted in a forum XP... I assume you are using XP?
You create to play in a free-standing DVD player...
a video DVD instead of a CD. (, You'll need a DVD burner,
a DVD creation software and DVDs)
If your Movie Maker project is saved in the. Film WMV format...
Maybe one of the following freeware programs will help you
create a video DVD.
(FWIW) It's always a good idea to create a system

How is it when I create a my library playlist & burn it will not play on my CD player
HOW IS IT WHEN I CREATE A PLAYLIST OF MY LIBRARY, IT WON'T PLAY ON MY CD PLAYER
Hi Betty942,
If you burn a disc of data with music files and it plays in your laptop, home or a car CD player, check the following:
- Your CD player may not support playback of CD or data DVD discs. Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.
- The CD can be burned to media, such as CD - RW, which is not compatible with the CD player. Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.
- Your CD player may not support playback of the type of music files burned on the disc (WMA or MP3). Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.
- The songs may be protected by copyrights. Other computers may be able to acquire usage rights and play the songs if they have a connection to the Internet, but devices such as radio cars and portable CD players will not be able to acquire these rights, so protected content will be unplayable.
- The CD cannot have been closed when it burned. You can usually solve this problem by adding more songs to the burn list, then you are close to the maximum capacity of the CD. Then, try to burn the list again for a new CD.

Windows Movie Maker DVD will not play in my DVD of Emerson drive
Burned DVD won't play in my dvd player. I worked on it for three days. I burned a movie on a dvd + rw disc. The film will play on my computer but won't play in my dvd player. I get "Disk error" on the screen and the disc may not have playback function. What is the function of reading and how I can change my download? I lived all the concepts of self-help, but none of them fit to my problem. I have Windows Vista Premium and have tried using Windows DVD Maker. I called the manufacturer of my drive and they said I need to finalize the disc. How can I do to do this with Windows DVD MAKER? I read articles about video editing, but when I went through the steps that I wasn't even offered the possibility to publish the video. My brother uses the same discs when burning movies and I have no problem playing his films. What I am doing wrong?
Hi BrookeMcCulley,
Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.
On some of the DVD player, you will not be able to play DVD + RW discs. You will need to use DVD + r (read DVD) drive and check if it works.
You can also try to use another brand of DVD disc and check.

It is perhaps one of the most common glitches in WMP, but MS is so confused, there is no solution (codec) to set the Iphone vids vertically in WMP.
When you follow the web tutorials to rotate the clip using Live Movie Maker, it records the video to the format .wlmp that won't play in WMP. So if you try to publish a movie there no option but send on Youtube or add Codec, which opens a page of gibberish, or when you try to save the film each option results in error "the device is not ready".
If a guru of SevenForums cannot browse this intuitive nonsense, how millions of average users who find WMP plays videos of the Iphone on the side, while MS allows their ignorant WMP like some stubborn dinosaurs blunder?
Hello
This behavior can occur if the video was recorded in landscape mode. You can see the link given below the similar question.

Hi I have a JVC's Everio camcorder. This unit uses a strange video file extension (is MOD). I try to play these video files on windows media player, but it won't play. I also tried to import these files into windows movie maker, but he won't.
Please give me a solution. I would be grateful for any ideas.Hello, thekissfan
Please use the Forum for answers!
I'm moving your message to the sounds and the media.
Rename the extension .mpg video and see if you are able to view them.
If this is not the case, check with JVC for instructions on how to edit video files.
I hope this helps.

Yes, rename the files MOD xxx.mpg worth trying...If this does not work... you need to convert a compatible
format like .wmv. The following links would be useful

After making like MOV, file will not play in Quicktime format.
When I make files MOV or MP4s, the files will not play in Quicktime or VLC. Opening to QuickTime, a "Conversion" window... "appears. After waiting for a long time, an error message appears.
Any suggestions?
It's nothing to do with the Adobe software. This is because Apple has removed many of the most recent version of QuickTime codecs and requires a conversion of these codecs during playback in the newer versions of QuickTime Player.
Here's a thread on the forums of Apple about this:
Why quicktime requires my videos to convert...
... and Apple support:

Hello
read this on the engraving in the mastered Format;
Burn a CD or DVD
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/burn-a-CD-or-DVD
Burn a disc using the ISO image format Choose the size of the ISO image when you need a highly compatible disc that will play in computers with an older version of Windows or in devices such as CD and DVD players that can play video files and music digital. For more information about choosing a disc format, see which CD or DVD format should I use?
Insert a writable CD or DVD CD writer or DVD in your computer.
In the dialog box that appears, click on burn the files to a data disc.
In the engraving, a disc dialog box, type a name for this disc, and then click Show formatting options.
Click on ISO image, and then click Next.
An empty disc folder opens.
Open the folder that contains the files to burn and then drag the files into the empty disc folder.
In the toolbar, click on burn to disc.
The selected files are copied to the disk. When burning is complete, the drive tray opens and you can remove the drive. You can now use the disc in another computer or media. This type of disc has no need to be closed.

Clip will not play when AC load via USB
Hello
I took delivery of my Clip to use permanently connected to an electrical outlet using the USB cable that is supplied with an adapter that plugs into the socket. It is just a 3-prong plug with a USB plug on this subject.
When you plug the clamp, it just cool and will not play. I tried to search for other experiences, but no one is using this power supply solution. Can anyone help?
Thank you
Steve
Hmm. There must be something weird on your USB AC adapter. As long as only the two outside pins USB connected (these are the power pins) the player should load but still works normally. The player charge if inside two pins are connected (the data pins). Normally the inner pins are connected only when it is plugged into a USB port that is real. Your card must provide a voltage on the data pins as well.
You can sometimes get around by pluggin only the USB port for computer/AC adapter at halfway as the power pins connect before the data pins. Or you can use the tape or paper to block the internal pins.

Why my video preview will not play on Windows Movie Maker?
I worked on a video in Windows Movie Maker, and now it will not play my preview of the video.
More than likely one or more of your source files are not
fully compatible with Movie Maker or the project is too
large and/or complex for your system resources.Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
Audio - wav, wma, wmvIt may be interesting to try to create a small project
and see if Movie Maker exhibits the same behavior.Sometimes, it can help if you are going to... Tools / Options /.
Compatibility tab and disable all filters / OK.Have you tried the publication (save) project in the
