When I put the computer on the mode 'sleep' it goes into sleep mode and then restarts on its own.

Have Vista Home Premium. When I put the computer on the mode 'sleep', it closes and moves to the State of low consumption with the screen. But in a few seconds without touching the key or mouse it starts again. What is going on?

  • Its replacement by the view with a physical table... and then perhaps change its name

    Hi all

Let's say I have a vision of "Select" as a source on the physical layer. Some time later, I decide to replace it with an ordinary table

    (1) simply changing Select for the physical Table won't be enough in table properties?

    (2) what will happen if I decide to go with a different name for this new table? (I guess that the administration tool would pick up the change and spread throughout of the MDB and presentation - but I try just to make sure)

Well either you keep the fully qualified name of the object (i.e. change just where it points to the bottom) - in which case there is no need even to touch whatever it is above the physical layer - or otherwise you put the new table/view in place and then use the Admin Utility tool "replace column or logical Table Source Table" for let the wizard remapping for you.

When I put the time, she can use the internet, she changes the time on the computer and returns on the internet.  What can I do?

Not enough information.  You have provided no context.  You don't say what version of Windows you are using and you don't really describe the situation in many details.  Reading between the lines, it looks like you have a child who has time on the Internet you want to limit.  You do not tell us what tools you use to control this limit online, so it is difficult to recommend the right forum for your post.  Please update your message with a more detailed description of what is happening and what you want to do.

One thing that comes to mind is using Live Parental control with a Netgear router.  See http://www.netgear.com/lpc.  LPC uses the service OpenDNS (http://www.opendns.com/)

  • When I put the PC in each Stand By, or Hibernate the PC often comes back to life his own, without my mouse movement

original title: problems with Stand By and Hibernate

I have a desktop Compaq 6140EA with BIOS current under XP SP3 (updated) and all driver updates applied.  When I put the PC in each Stand By or Hibernate the PC often comes back to life on its own, without my mouse movement / hit a key (Stand By) or touch the power button (Hibernate).  I have reset the BIOS to default settings. no improvement.  I've selected all the power management always we and tried the ACPI fixed feature off installation and power button / stop.  No improvement.    The problem seems to occur less if I turned off my modem broadband Ethernet connected before entering Stand By / Hibernate.

I wonder if I got bad wake-on-LAN and if so, how to disable it?

Thanks, but I already did those things.  But I seem to have found the answer: I pointed out that the problem seems to be related to the modem broadband.  I found KB/810719 related to this issue.  I followed the instructions: in Device Manager / network adapters / properties / power management check only allow management Stations to bring the computer from sleep mode.  That fixed it.

When you insert a game CD, click on "my computer" then right click on the CD icon and open the tab AUTOMATIC execution. Here you can specify whether you want that the CD player to the content of the CD opens automatically, and also together what application you want to open based on the content of the CD.

  • Equium M50-164 crashes when I put the battery

    I have an Equium M50-164.

I got it over a year now without any problems. I turned on this morning and it crashed (just a white, black screen) even when I tried to open it in safe mode. I have taken out the battery, but left the power cord in and it worked fine, without any problems at all, but when I put the battery with the power cable it crashed again. When you try to start it with just the battery, he would not do anything no lights, no boot at all?

    Help, please.

    Hello

    Does not sound good
Only the battery is dead and or malfunction of the electronic power supply on the motherboard.
    The two cases are possible.
Generally, the common user is not able to fix something like this.

Of course, we can run here on the malfunction but I n t think this will help you.
In my opinion, the laptop must be verified and some diagnostic tests must be started

  • Cannot view pictures when I put the cd in the disc drive.

I have pictures on a CD that I saved from my old computer. When I put the disc in the drive and I chose autoplay it I cannot see all of the photos. It shows the autoplay and then asks me to adjust these settings or revert to the default value. Once I put them and press on save the box disappears, and then I'm back and the control panel. I would like to know what I'm doing wrong.

    Hello bfiebiger10,

Thank you for using Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

What is the file format of the image file you are trying to open? I guess they are in .jpg format. You may need to use the default program features to set the program you want Windows to use for open your photo file.

To set the default program to use the following steps:

    ·        Click Start > default program

    ·        Choose to associate any type of file or Protocol with a program

    ·        Select the type of file (file format) in the list, and then click Change Program

    ·        Choose the program that you want to use to open this file (e.g. Windows or MS Picture Photo Gallery Director) and click OK

    ·        Click close to exit from this window

Try to open your CD again. Go to the computer; Double-click the CD icon to open it

  • Error "Windows Setup cannot continue. To install windows, click ok to restart the computer, and then restart the installation. "When you try to install Windows.

How can I configure my windows 7 after restoring my laptop to the factory conditians?

My laptop had a blue screen and I couldn't get rid of it, I went into safe mode and restore my computer to factory conditions. When the computer says "the installation program starts services" you stop and I couldn't turn it back on for 15 minutes. When I turned on and tried to contained my setup, a message keeps poping up "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error." Windows Setup cannot continue. To install windows, click ok to restart the computer, and then restart the installation. "But no mader, how many times I reboot my laptop, the same message appears. What should I do? I've restored my computer several times and never had this problem.

    You should try another recovery.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.
