I have a HP Scanjet 7650 on my desktop, plugged into my laptop via a usb cable.  I was scanning over a year, no problem.  Today, when I'm at work, I tried to analyze something and it gives me this error: error while interacting with the scanner; the selected scanner was not found.  I tried them both, not native WIA, the Native Interface, presets, custom interface. each option and combination and it gives me the same error.  I disconnected the cable, reinstalled HP drivers, I reinstalled Acrobat.  It works fine if I click with the right button on the scanner of the devices/Printers box and click "search". It does simply not work with Acrobat.
