When I send an email, it will not put a copy in my "Sent" folder, can I fix?

I chose to put a copy in my "Sent" folder, and sometimes it goes right, blip, blip, almost instantly.

I have a solution. I continued to watch and try different things. I had chosen the choice by default to "place a copy in: [my e-mail account].» Finally I found at the end of the 'box', arrow down and he opened other choices. It is accessible in this way: click your e-mail account; Accounts; View the settings for this account; Copies & folders; (checked) Place a copy in: [now, do not select the default, but go down, it opens a drop-down menu which includes 'Local Folders'] check that line. (I did have a "Sent" folder under my local files. BUT the next time I "sent" e-mail, it created the "sent" folder and make a copy that is. Not being not too fast, I guess that makes me the 'server' and only on my local files. In any case, I now get a 'Copy' of all sent email and that soon.     First get mail valid only for the current account. use the small down arrow to display the menu and select "get new messages" implied, but not stated that it is for all accounts.

    If she has a very slow connection, maybe it's Thunderbird going offline lower left corner of the screen are two images of the blue screen. Clicking activates / deactivates the status offline online.

    If sending a message receives mail it is maybe offline and send triggered an online state. (But who should have a dialog going online, but a lot gets lost in translation, in particular people with disabilities on the technical side, which I suppose that your MOM is. Mine was)

    Firefox 4 will not work on OS X 10.4, it requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

    For IE6:
     
    Delete the temporary Internet files: in Internet Explorer | Tools | Internet Options | Remove the files button. And check the delete offline content.
     
    For IE7 ~ IE8:
     
    Tools | Internet Options | General tab | Browsing history | Delete temporary Internet files.

    You have the apparent corruption of dbx files, but an easy solution.

    Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

    In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

    After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

    Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

    Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

    Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:

    Some messages are not complying with the standards of the Internet and the images do not show before their delivery.  You can overcome this by transmitting the message as an attachment instead, and then the images will be intact.

    This looks like a problem with your email service, not with Firefox (or Thunderbird).

    It is possible that you need to set the name sent by logging into your webmail account online (e.g., Yahoo! Mail or Gmail). Web e-mail providers like these often put sending appoint themselves, ignoring the settings of your email client.

    Unfortunately, since it is not a matter of Firefox you're unlikely to get help on these forums. I suggest that you find the support site for your e-mail provider, as they should be much more useful.

    You're probably doing nothing wrong.

    One thing to try is after inserting that tap photo images and then change the size. If it works, you have my CCC friend to thank for calling your issue to my attention.

    Go to file | Identities and establish a new identity.  Then add your e-mail account.  When this works, then use a file | Import messages to import from the old identity.

    If you do not OE, then after return e-mail you what program use.

    It sounds like you have the email account of incorrect installation and hurt the server info.

    Provide the program that you are using and we can go from there, or contact your ISP.

    I ran malwarebytes, Superantispyware, and hijackthis and found no problem.
    All 3 programs are executed manually.
