Glad you got it work & you are the very welcome, but some tips to follow in order to avoid this in the future, if you don't mind.

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. • My ISP is spelled when I set up Outlook Express. I get an error everytime I try to use it.

    Outlook Express problem

The address to which Outlook Express shows when it is trying to connect to my ISP is misspelled (Comast rather than Comcast) for an error message shows everytime I try to use it. When I go to run and then Control Panel there is no icon for mail so I can't Mail configuration to try to fix the problem. What can I do?

In XP, Outlook Express, you need to go to Tools, accounts , and then double-click the e-mail account you want to change in the Internet accounts dialog box. This opens the Properties dialog box for this account. Looks like you need to make changes to incoming or outgoing mail tab servers servers.

You probably have too much in your Inbox.

    1. Move messages that you see in the user created folders.
    2. OE backup.
    3. Close and open OE.
    4. Compact your folders.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: file | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    Compress your OE folders:

6: Uncheck work offline and make a manual send/receive.

What now? If you still have questions, after return before doing anything else.

    Hello

    1. is this problem limited to this user account?

    Method 1.
Let us first start the sfc scan and check if there are any file system corruption.

You did not indicate EO to leave a copy of messages on the server, so when he downloaded from the server, they have been removed from it.  Go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced and check the box leave a copy on the server for the future.

    Outlook Express for email

Hi all. I am running Microsoft Windows XP on my computer. I use Outlook Express for e-mail. Currently, I'm unable to delete the emails of one of my Outlook Express email accounts. Everyone knows about this problem? All proposed solutions?

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

Compact all folders as described below.

To avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  • Cannot access Outlook Express email on computer so open on iPhone

original title: Outlook Express email on iPhone

I can't access Outlook Express on my computer recently, I opened my email on my iPhone.  A way to solve this very annoying problem?

You cannot access Outlook Express, or you cannot access mail on Outlook Express?

If mail: OE has this option: tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: leave a copy of messages on the server. You also need to find the equivalent of this on your iPhone and check there as well.

On a single computer only, check to delete messages after X days to satisfy your allocated space you get from your server, but you give the possibility to download at once.

  • How can I move the outlook express emails from an XP PC to an another XP PC that has the same e-mail address without overwriting existing messages on this second PC?

How can I move the outlook express emails from an XP PC to an another XP PC that has the same e-mail address without overwriting existing messages on this second PC?

I need to group together all messages from e-mail in a PC and to retire the first PC.

This could be problematic. I guess or OE is over? This would make it easy.

One thing you could do requires some manual work, but much less removal of dupes. For example, the Inbox. In the machine, you are going to scrap, create a new folder and move all messages in your Inbox to it. After you import on the other machine, you can drag the messages you need this folder in the Inbox, and then remove the user created the folder.

And then there are tools to remove the dupes. This one for example.

How to get my Outlook Express to work

When I click on Outlook Express I get a blank page with (work in line/connection in the lower right corner. Nothing happens.

    Folders.dbx is probably damaged.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

The path to the message will be very similar to this:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User of utilisateur\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\ {long string of letters & numbers} \Microsoft\Outlook Express

With OE closed, find the Folders.dbx file and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    Note these possible side effects:

When you re - start OE, it will build a new index of all *.dbx files it can read and create a new Folders.dbx. However, understand that you will lose the mail directory structure and message rules will probably have to be edited.
