When I try to defragment, I get the error message that chkdisk is expected to run on the volume.

When trying to run defrag program for the C volume I get the pop - up asking to run Chkdisk/f. It indicates that it is expected to operate on the C Volume. What is and how to respect?

CHKDSK is a tool for error checking.  It checks the essential windows files to find errors.

It runs probally when you next start your computer, then try to restart.
