PDF documents that are created on my PC look like the text has been reduced or the document is printed in legal format instead of the letter.

How to adjust the resulting PDF document to look at as it is printed on letter-size paper?

Hey, Bessie.

When you print to PDF it has an option to fit to Page. That switch off and you should not have more discounts.

  • How to print on legal size paper

I am getting very frustrated. I'm trying to print on legal size paper in Tray 1. The display keeps saying out of paper?

IM assuming that it is in what concerns the 8600 JO? You did to be sure to set the tray for legal paper? The paper tray are in place. If you open the drawer there is a blue button. This blue button-press and hold the status bar on one of the rails. This lengthens the tray to allow legal communication and always leave the tray to be in place.

If the directions are not clear, let me know and I'll try and get you pictures of what I mean.

I suggest to try to change the settings of your printer properties and change it to legal and check if it works for you.

  • OfficeJet 100: Officejet 100 print legal size paper?

    Hello

I hope that there could be a solution for this. Several users here have a problem with their printers Officejet 100 legal-size paper printing. Below is part of an email I received about this which explains it better that I could.

«Apparently some of the reps there have problems printing their contracts of legal size on their mobile printers HP Officejet 100.» It's happened for quite a while. The printer recognizes the document as the legal document, but printing is disabled: it begins printing in the middle of the image.

VRP have found a solution: they must go to the printer properties and choose explicitly legal paper in the drop size. It is already selected by default, but if they select manually it will print correctly. The problem is that: 1) it is a manual workaround, they must do so for EACH print, and 2) they frequently forget and have to reprint. »

They have already tried to install latest print drivers, but that has not helped. Printers seem to operate normally except for this. What could be the cause of this?

    Thank you.

According to your specifications of the printerthis printer supports legal size paper, which is good. First of all, I would like to try running our HP print and Scan Doctor, to ensure that no conflict of driver. If all goes well, try the following:

I have just purchsed the HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus and I wanted to print on legal size paper, but I can't figure out how to do this.  Can anyone help?

There is a blue tab at the end of the paper tray.  That push and the plateau extends to the legal size.  Hope that helps.  Now what about this one: I want to charge 11 "legal in Tray 1 and tray 2 and, hopefully, the printer will know what bin to shoot when you print legal documents?

    Hi quoman,

Looks like you're wondering how to add security to a PDF file. You will need Acrobat Pro or Standard to do. If you do not have Acrobat, you can try it free for 30 days. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.

When I try to print two important documents, I first get a little screen that says that the document cannot be printed, then a second small screen that says no pages have been selected.

    Hi oldrealist,

Try the following: open Adobe Reader | Change | Preferences

    • under Documents, change "Show the documents in PDF/A mode" Never.
    • under (enhanced) protection, clear the Safe_mode at startup.

Let me know how it goes.

  • 28 Firefox crashes when I try to print to the printer, Acrobat PDF

    Hi all!

I observed a problem when I try to print a Web page in Firefox v28 using the printer of PDF Acrobat (Acrobat Pro 9.5.5) installed on a Virtual Machine (VMware View 5.2) with Windows 7 64 bit. Print dialog box crashes (no response) after the pdf dialog box "Save as." Then I have to force Firefox to close, and subsequently an Acrobat PDF conversion dialog box appears with the progress bar has stopped in the middle. I must also close it afterwards.

The other programs (Office, IE, Notepad...) are able to print through the PDF printer without problem. The problem appeared after the automatic update of Firefox v28, since when I downgrade to Firefox v26 the problem disappears.

I checked a setup similar to a physical computer (W7 64 bit, Acrobat Pro 9.5.5, v28 of Firefox), and everything works fine, so I think it's a change that's happened in Firefox v28 who has a problem with the configuration of the VM. I also tried to change the Firefox profile, reset Firefox and reset the print settings and reinstall Acrobat. No luck.

I would like to know if anyone knows some changes in Firefox v28 printing or related to any service or update that may have a problem in the virtual machine.

    Any help is welcome!

    Thank you!

I just try with Firefox 29 in the same virtual machine, and it works perfectly, so I guess that is a bug in version 28.

  • Blue screen error when you try to print Adobe PDF files

Original title: the computer crashes when I try to print Adobe PDF files.

I unintalled and reinstalled remains 9.3.3 and it still won't print. The OS crashes when you try to print a .pdf file. I can open the document and view the file but not print, just the blue screen and restarts. I opened a word document, print and print text files. It will print anything but Adobe files. Is there any help out there?

    HonoriusIII

Thank you for your support and help Sicard. I finally got to the last version of Adobe as the culprit. It seems that the latest version 9.3.3 was causing problems. I uninstalled the software, cleaned the registry and other remains and installed the various editions of Adobe. Seems that Vista likes only one software version which proved Adobe 8.0. Once I installed the software, found a few .pdf documents and tried to print. Not only did it print well, it was very fast. Of all the places to find the 8.0 Adobe has been installed on my recovery disks. I don't think Microsoft product (s) are the root cause. Something in Adobe was the cause of the crash. I have the error message has not write against accidents, but it dumped memory and restart is fine, no conflict of driver. Only thing I did after each accident was to defragment. the hard drive and RAM by using certain tools. Vista ran fine since. I know a lot of people out there do not like Vista, but I did have a lot of problems with the software. I found problems with other types of competing software and work with software developers using their products in beta. The crash of the problems were not these beta products. I believe in keeping software simple and effective, it seems that Adobe will conversely making it too complicated software and an application's entire concept.

    Thanks for you help,

    HonoriusIII

Print my pdf files is no longer. After pressing PRINT the 'Print to File' window pops up and I have to press SAVE under to go to the next step. Once the pdf file is saved it is therefore more a pdf but a PRN file. An error message appears when I try to print the PRN file. I need to be able to print my original pdf files. Please notify.

Looks like you somehow accidentally active the option print to file in the Advanced Options print dialogue. Uncheck that and this problem should go away.
