  I had the problem described here with this submitted URL then tried to block an application. I tried several different browsers and computers and tried to block different applications for different users. I had the App block to work by removing the user of security for the family on all computers and then add on one only, blocking Apps and then adding the user in security for the family on the other computers.

  It was quite a tedious exercise of going through.

  I don't know what other information you give. I can't go to my start page for firefox. Firefox has not been deleted. I downloaded and reinstalled several times and still get the same message when I try to open it.

  In the last update "firefox aurora", I now have a little awkward accommodation that opens with all the usual sites, I'll and he says: Google search.

  I emptied the DNS and tried Google. Even Facebook. I restarted Firefox, entered in Google - and has obtained from Google!

The only search that allows me to see whatever it is is Yahoo that I prefer not to use.   Hi newsgirl,.

  Somewhere at the top of the laptop keyboard is a key that says Num Lock (or Num Lk or something like that).  It can be accessed directly, or you may need to press a key to access (or some other keys).  In any case, you must click this to turn off the number lock because it is what causes the problem.  This key is usually used on laptops to create a section of a regular keyboard that can act as the normal keyboard calculator keypad (for those who need that, like accountants or persons who need to enter strings of numbers).  Once you turn it off, you will be fine as the keyboard returns to normal.

  1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

  2. to when was the last time the scanner was working fine?

  3. you have any other printer\scanner connected to the computer?

  If you have any other printer\scanner connected to the computer, disconnect them and check if it works.

  I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the scanner to the computer, also make sure that you install the latest drivers for scanner on Canon website.

  I recently moved.   I use the same router from my old apartment and I had no problem connection in the past.   Since I moved I have a new Time Warner modem (Cisco) and the modem works fine.

  The router also works very well I'm able to connect with my iPhone and IPad without any problem.

  But when I try to connect with my wireless laptop, it will only connect to Local access.    If I connect the laptop to the router with the ethernet cable, it works very well.

  It's a Dell Studio 15 with Vista.

  The computer is able to connect to wifi to other places without any problem, but for some reason that I can't connect home.   I tried to reset the modem and the router several times, but that did not help.   I tried the option repair & diagnose several times but it doesn't work.

  I tried to look for other solutions online and tried to disable IPv6, and while it helped some and I was able to connect wireless, the computer ran so slowly that it didn't seem like a good solution.

  This has been very frustrating.   Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

  Have you tried to change the wireless channel that your router is running at? There may be interference that could prevent the internet connection:
