Using Windows XP Profwssional.
(1) when I try to set up "Remote support" I get the error message: "your current system settings prevent you from sending an invitation. How can I solve this problem?
(2) can I use this feature when both computers are on the same network?
Hello
(1) you must configure your computer to use the remote control - see here:
http://www.winxptutor.com/raenable.htm
and don't forget to make the firewall exceptions
(2) this function works on the different network also (so a computer can be in the United States and one in Australia)
Note - a computer can have Windows XP (family or professional edition) and another may have Windows 7, Vista.

Suddenly, when I choose my desktop e-mail icon, my windows email application started asking the confirmation of my user name and pw. When I use the same information that allows me to connect through the internet, it does not work. I just get the same box again. I am also now getting a message that says Dell Support Center has stopped working. I don't know if it is related or not; He seems to find shortly after the confirmation box. How can I get the system to recognize my username and the pw and pick up my email?
Try to remove your e-mail account, compact and repair the database to WinMail (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/), and then add your account to e-mail back again. WinMail has occasionally glitches like that.
If you have any other questions, however, make sure you scan your system against viruses and malware.

When I try to use the Windows Update link for my XP computer and after using Windows Mr. Fix - It, I get a message indicating that the location where the Windows Update stores data has changed and must be repaired. How can I solve this problem?
I'm not that computer literate and do not understand what needs to be fixed.
This problem just started a few weeks when I noticed that I had any recent download automatic update that I regularly get. So I tried to do it manually through access via my control panel.
I use ESET Antivirus Node32 software.

2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
3. you try to check the updates?
I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.
Method 1:

When I try to turn on "Windows Defender" I get an error message "ox800106ba".
How can I activate the Windows Defender?Hello
If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.
There is nothing to worry.
Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.
If you are using one of the above AntiVirus programs, this Information from David O - Support Engineer shows you how to manually enable Windows Defender (disregard information from uninstalling; not possible in Vista):
"Go to start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Look for Windows Defender.
Right click and select Properties , ensure that Startup Type is automatic.
Once modified, click apply and OK.
Quit and restart your computer. Check the back take the same path to confirm that Windows Defender has started"
.
If you want to have additional protection against malware using the version FREE of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:

And for now, change startup Vista programs without using Defender, use one of these methods:

Or the program Autoruns for FREE:
