• When you use the clone tool, the NORMAL mode disappeared.  How can I reset to get back normal?

  First try the Reset tool button. If this doesn't work, sometimes problems happen for no apparent reason and that are caused by being corrupt preference files.   I know you didn't want to scream... Not to be too critical, but it really looks like you need a new 'computer' man as it is inexcusable to erase data files when you install a new operating system, especially if it does not create a backup disk or files.   Having to reinstall programs is normal, but the data must never be lost.
   
  You apparently have different issues that might be related to malicious software and drivers a bad or hardware problems for your computer.  I recommend that you take a small reputation of the computer "mom & pop" type computer store to have your repairs.  Big box stores, such as Staples, Best Buy, etc. are NOT reputable in computer repair.  Take installation discs you have for the computer, and a good description of what is happening.
