When iTunes open get error, windows service install could not be accessed.

Fatal error during Installation
When I try to open I-Tunes, I get the message that the windows service install could not be accessed.  This can occur when windows is running in safe mode or windows installer is not installed properly.

I followed these steps and the programs have been removed form the revo uninstaller list but it still appears in the windows Uninstall list and I get the same error when I try to uninstall it - windows service install could not be accessed.  I used revo to uninstall another program and it worked and disappeared in the two lists.

Any other problem iTunes, contact Apple with their software:

  • 0 x 80070641 Windows service install could not be accessed

Hi, I get this error on my PC in Windows 8.  I am trying to install a game, but can't due to an error of execution of VC ++.   When I try to install Visual C++ I get the above error.  I looked in my services and Windows Installer is there and it runs on the manual, it will not work.  I'm frustrated more and am more than a little annoyed.  If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

    Hello

Thanks for posting the query on Microsoft Community. You have reached the right place. Let us work together to find the cause of this problem and try to solve.

Error in the log: 0 x 80070641 means ERROR_INSTALL_SERVICE_FAILURE - the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if Windows Installer is not correctly installed

To check if these methods resolves the problem, try the following:

Method 1: Check the Windows Installer service.

    1. Go to start > run > type services.msc > OK.
    2. The Services window will open, scroll down to Windows Installer, and double-click it.
    3. The Properties window opens on the drop-down menu (startup type) select 'automatic' > OK and close windows.
    4. Restart the PC, and I hope it will work for you.

If the problem persists, proceed to the next method.

Method 2: Unregister and register the Windows Setup program again

    1. Click Start, click run, type MSIEXEC /Unregister. and then click OK. Even if you do it right, it may seem that nothing is happening.
    2. Click Start, click run, type MSIEXEC/REGSERVER, and then click OK. Even if you do it right, it may seem that nothing happens, or you can briefly see an hourglass. After you run this command, the operation is complete.

Try your application based on Windows Installer again.

Method 3: follow the steps in troubleshooting of this article:

  • "The windows service install could not be accessed. This can happen if windows install is not properly installed. »

I tried everything on this site and many others to try to solve this problem. The error message also says something to communicate with staff support from time to time.

Everything here seems to be based on two main things: unable to install Microsoft Office, and when checking, the functionality of Windows install has been transformed to wide/stopped. Every time I check, my Windows Installer says "Running". When I do msiexec/regserver and /unreg, the window disappears and I get no response. Try to download again, same problem.
Please help, I have had this problem for over a week and I am currently at the end of the roll.

    Hi raptor05

What exactly happens when you try to install a program that needs this service?

Try these steps and see if it helps you:

    Unregister and re-register Windows Installer.

To do this, follow these steps:
    1. click on start and then click Run.
    2. in the Open box, type msiexec /unreg and then press ENTER.
    3. click on start and then click Run.
    4. in the Open box, type msiexec/regserver, and then press ENTER.

NOTE: you must log in using the administrator account and try to install it like that. Or you can also try running the program by right clicking and select "run as Administrator". It should work.

We need to install the latest version of Windows Installer that is 4.5, the link to it is:

  • "Windows service install could not be activated.

I tried to update several programs on my computer, and whenever I try to install something I get a message similar to the title. I am running Windows 7 and the problem started a couple of days when I lost power for an update. It simply may be corrupted and need to be replaced or is there anything else I can do? I checked all the other lines suggested fixing when I looked up the error message, but none of them worked.
