  I tried to download Microsoft Streets and Trips 2011.

  When I try to download the same I get an error message indicating that the installation has detected that this computer does not meet the obligation to install this software.  The following blocking issues must be resolved before you can install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable package Setup software.  It also shows "a newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 has been detected on this computer.

  I'm on Windows 8 with the current version of windows.

  I tried in vain compatibility mode and tires another answer, I found in the community.  I deleted the 2010 x 64 and x 86 version 10.0.40219 of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 and then installed Microsoft Streets and Trips without a hitch and it installed it own version of C++ 2010 is version 10.0.30318.  I hope that this will affect other programs.  Question - can you now install the new version without compromising the Streets and Trips program?

  My name is Jim.  I am trying to install streets & trips 2010 on my new laptop.  It has been previously installed and worked fine on my old laptop.  When you try to activate it on the new laptop and after you enter the correct product key, I get a "invalid or invalaid product key" notice.  I called MS activation service and they confirmed that my product key is valid.  Customer service says they can't help because phone activitation for this version does not work because this version is obsolete and cannot help me.  Can someone help me get beyond this issue, if I may use the product on my new laptop computer?

  When I type the location of the Pushpins on the universal search bar, that it flashes and no results. BUT if I do a ctrl + f and select tab "place / data", and then type the location of bug it appears. I'm willing to type in the universal search bar and get to my place of Pushpins.   Sometimes, it works very well sometimes it doesn't.  My GPS location signal will always find a satellite and sometimes it never does.  Other times I have satellite signal and it goes straight... clear day on the road... no obstruction.  I bought the GPS receiver with my original version of the streets and trips 2007 (give or take a year).  Do I need a new?

  I am trying to install a Microsoft keyboard on a USB key.  I'm getting code 10 and 28 drivers about code.  Everything must be up to date.  I have a borrowed keyboard that uses a regular port.

  I asked Microsoft updated drivers and told to download the intellitype pro, I did and which does not recognise either.

  I used different ports, no luck.  I plugged a flashdrive in ports and worked, so apparently it's a software problem.

• Try to use the feature in Microsoft Streets and Trips GPS, but when my Garmin connection, get an error "device not connected"

  I'm trying to use the GPS feature in Microsoft streets & trips 2011. I connect my Garmin nüvi 40 to a USB port and it says "device not connected" when I click on Configure GPS. The USB ports on my work computer and I connect the GPS and use it to download/download photos and today I updated maps of garmin.com. It was no problem. However, Microsoft streets & trips 2011 is unable to see the GPS device no matter which USB port I use.

  Anyone know anything about this?

  I have streets & trips 2005 and after a re - install it asks me activation key, but there is no activation key on the box of the software on the CD or on the booklet included in the software.  Also, I called Microsoft support and they could not help because they were told that the product was no longer in service.
