When you print a photo, the image is too light

Original title: copying photos

I copied a picture but when it printed he was pale with barely any color!  my laptop is new. I have not had any problems with my old laptop with the same printer.

Hello

1. What is the serial number and model of the printer?

2 Windows operating system you are using?

3. what application you use to print photos?

4. What is the format of the photos you want to print?

You can read the following article and check if it helps.

  • Acquisition of CL crashes when the image is too light?

I have a strange problem and I can't be sure either the camera or the Board of Directors: basically, in any method of execution, when the image is too light, the acquisition stops and I get a timeout in MAX. It is with a PCIe-1433 and Point grey Gazelle. Blockage of the camera and restarting acquisition works very well. This occurs at any time, that the majority of the image gets to 80% brightness.

To make things more confusing, this can sometimes be corrected by the passage of cable (the same 5 meters OR cable model, but just another); now, however, I have a couple of cameras that show that all cable and so I need to get it figured out. It would certainly be a problem of camera or a combination and so I contact PMP as well. Anyone has any ideas on this? Thanks in advance for any info!

I would suspect that your CameraLink cables cannot meet performance requirements for speed of clock and the distance, that you are running. Unlike most new buses at high speed, the underlying mechanism of encoding on the wire for CameraLink has a characteristic resistance to noise (even among his own peers) depends somewhat on the actual data values are transmitted. Since the frame control signals are passed in the same channel as the content of the image itself, if there is some noise/interaction between them on the wire, they could cause problems of behavior on the side of the acquisition.

If your camera supports the lowering of the frequenency of the clock, you might be able to check that helps the behavior. If it does, I recommend trying to replace the cables with superior quality-those. The CameraLink Committee now has a test of official certification of cables which is very comprehensive. I would say in ensuring that the cables you are using are actually tested for these certification tests.

  • How to choose the right version of publishing app when you choose to change the image of in InDesign?

    Hi all

Normally when I want to edit a picture that is in a page layout in InDesign either, I press option-click on the image, or ctrl-click on the image and choose to edit using the CC of Photoshop, Illustrator CC or another app I need to use at any specific time. Well, I also have backups will only backup my entire system and so all my applications get saved as well.

Well, what's happening now (for today) is that when I choose to edit the image, it is opening Photoshop (or Illustrator, etc) from my drive backup and not within the app on my main drive. So, even though I already have Photoshop open as I work in InDesign, when I try to edit an image it will open the copy of BACKUP of Photoshop AS well I tried to choose 'other' when ctrl-click on the image and choosing to Ed... but when I navigate to the here where Photoshop is on my main drive, I can't choose the main application because it appears to show the main application of Photoshop as a folder with the that there is content packaging.

How the hell can I fix the path to the correct version of Photoshop, where I need to do the editing? I must now go to things a way hijacked by browsing up to where the image is in the finder (via ctrl-click on the link of the image in the LINKS Panel and choose "show in finder"), but it takes twice longer :((, it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have as many images as I work with that I'm doing now.

Any help or advice will be appreciated :))

    Thank you kindly,

    Christine

    Just guessing...

The problem is if Photoshop CC on the primary drive is open? If this is not the case, consider set to open at the start of the computer. The current instance might prevail over those inactive.

Usually, the installed in last instance of an application is the one linking operating systems (OS X & Windows) with a document file that calls for the application, for example, by double clicking in Finder/Explorer. It is common to see the new version called (say CC Photoshop rather than Photoshop CS 6) because the new version is usually the last installed. Because Adobe CS applications typically install new versions of common files, it is recommended to install releases in chronological order, if it is necessary to reinstall the applications when there are multiple instances on the same computer. For example, to install Photoshop CS4, and CS5 and CS6; If an earlier version is installed when a newer version is present, the previous common files can cause application problems. One consequence of this is normal, but sometimes annoying, behavior that at the launch of an application by throwing one of his files, the new version is open because this is the functioning of the operating system.

In your case, it is possible that the operating system sees Photoshop of the backup drive installation the new installation and lance. Perhaps to save Photoshop CC makes this instance appear most recent for the operating system. Remember to leave Photoshop CC out of the backup operation. If it works well! If this isn't the case, you may try to start the computer from the backup disk, run Photoshop, then exit and restart the computer from the main drive. If this solves the problem, maybe try to start from the backup disk, then reinstall Photoshop top and then restarting the main player. If it works, it can "keep", or an operation like backup, could reduce to naught all your smart stuff.

Maybe one of these strategies may be a permanent solution.

    Kind regards

  • When you print a photo on Matt paper

When you use a laser (vs inkjet) printer, are improvements in color on paper matte paper/paper looks?

    MFJ

    HIA Trains1985,

I'll try to help with this

"" I need to ask a question first of all please - rather than are the improvements, do you mean "are there of improvements"

I'll answer as if that is the question, ask yourself if you'll see improvements by changing the paper, well you might, please read on

you mention also pass to Matt/paper card, but not if it is a 'best' stock that you use now?

I'll answer as if you may have about moving from an improved stock, normally a more expensive. In some cases, you can see the improvements, see below:

There is a question of color and barely tonal in the press here, you can't choose any old paper or cardstock, [no matter] just and expect the exact tone and color (to match a decent screen calibrated fairly well). It COULD, it COULD No.

IF the paper stock or card you choose is properly supported by the manufacturer of printers ([i.e. He is listed there in the settings of the printer / media section of the driver software], and then, if you choose a stock better than your paper from day to day, you will see probably more color range (wider, more saturation) and better tone and detail.) Reasonable and color tone I hope.

I'm a guy of color management and recommend generally a user start on this type of research by tests using an image known good source, you can download mine at www.colourmanagement.net on the downloads page. [colourmanagement.net is spelled English/Canadian way ;-)]. This composite image was designed to include the so-called "memory colors" This means a little "know you" if they are far away.

For this test please start with the feel of a paper or a card that is listed in the [ printer settings] printer driver software and with the Photoshop print window the value "printer manages color."

Printer manufacturers go to much effort to papers which are suitable with their equipment and do the driver options to give good results. Sometimes this does not work, but today it is normally quite acceptable. Then, it will be a reference what to expect of your printer.

SO how do you move forward-

1: open the image in Photoshop (or lightroom) - the uploaded image looks OK on the screen? i.e. the skintones are natural. Greys neutral tonal range OK? etc.

2: makes an impression look 'right' [and may match the screen]. Make sure you only print on a piece of paper that listed in the [printer settings] print drivers software and it is selected as a 'media' and with the Photoshop print window the value "printer manages color".

Printer manufacturers go to much effort to papers which are suitable with their equipment and do the driver options to give good results. Sometimes this does not work, but today it is normally quite acceptable.

I hope this helps, please let me know

  • CS2 crashes when you try to load the image AFTER the trial of CS4

Recently, I used the CS4 Extended trial (which worked fine).  It's 30 days ended, and unfortunately, I returned to my purchased copy of CS2 (actually own any production Studio Premium).

Now, when I try, Photoshop CS2 loads fine, but freezes then whenever I try to load ANY image.  It displays even the thumbnails correctly.  Everything freezes and then gives the error "Not responding" after a few seconds more when I actually try to click on an image.

I uninstalled CS4-happens again.  I uninstalled CS2 and reloaded the suite together.  Same thing.  I uninstalled and then once again and then manually deleted all the files I could find physically, reinstalled.  Same thing.

    I'm going crazy!

I'm running all on Vista 64 Home Premium with 8 gigs.  (And everything worked FINE before the trial, and Yes, I have tried with and without all the latest patches for CS2 AND tried running it in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode - although this has worked fine before without it.)

    Thoughts from anyone?

I have the same problem with the CS3 version after removing a trial of CS4. I tried the suggestions to my original question and those here, too.
