When you save a Word document to PDF format, how can I do NOT to incorporate fonts (essentially save as image only)?

When I 'print' a Word document to PDF fonts are included.  I guess that in doing so, it is then possible to make the file editable.  If I take a picture of my document and save it as a PDF, then obviously, the fonts are not included.  I want to have one PDF file like the other, but the document is hundreds of pages long I don't really want to take a picture of each page.  Y at - he made another way saved PDF and take the embed fonts?

Thank you!

If you don't have Acrobat, but the free player. You can't do it with this application.

    1. open the doc in WORD and click on print, select the Adobe PDF printer, print.

    2. open the doc in WORD and go to the Acrobat menu in WORD and select Create PDF (this example uses PDF Maker).

    3. open the document in Acrobat and conversion to do based on PDF Maker.

  • When you open a Word document downloaded, hundreds of tabs begin opening in Firefox. How can I stop this happening?

I just installed Office 2007 on my computer and downloaded some documents on the internet. When I try to open Firefox becomes crazy and opens the tabs of the browser faster that I can close them, with no sign of stopping. How can I stop what is happening and have access to the downloads? Any help much appreciated!

OK, solved. It's not Firefox, it's Windows. Somehow, it had been changed to open Word documents as browsers. I had my suspicions that it wasn't Firefox as Word documents to open in form of tabs in the browser even if Firefox is not running. The only way to open a Word doc was if it was already on the hard drive.

For someone who has a similar problem, it's how to correct:

    Open my computer.
On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
    Click the File Types tab.
In the registered file types list, click the file that you are trying to open. In my case, it was the doc files. In the list this type of file has been shown by a Firefox icon, indicating that what was used to open the file.
Under the list of registered file types scroll details for each file type are displayed, with an option for "opens with:
Click Edit to the right of the present and choose the program to use in the future. Click OK and close the dialog box file types. This should solve the problem.

  • When I convert a word document to PDF, it appears like a firefox html document

Recently, I rebooted my acrobat pro and since then when I convert a word to PDF file, it shows itself as a firefox html file.  Why?

    Hi Chief grunt.

It seems that the ownership of pdf is picked up by Firefox.
Right-click on the file and select 'Open with' > the program choose by default.

"In the list of programs that appear, select Adobe Acrobat and click on ' apply > Ok"

You can also check the setting in Acrobat > edit > Preferences > General > Defalult Manager pdf

  • InDesign CS4 crashes when you place the Word document

    Hello

I'm having a real problem by placing a Word document in InDesign CS4. It crashes everytime! I found that if I turn off the 'import inline graphics' it correctly places the document. but enabling this option blocks InDesign.

I tried to save in rich TEXT format and even do a simple copy - paste, but the result is the same: InDesign crashes.

If you have an idea please let me know!

    Thank you

  • Hi my free trail Adobe Acrobat has expired but is still allowing me to convert Word documents to PDF format is this suppose to happen?

Can someone explain to me the displayed question. I don't want something I'm not supposed to use. Thanks in advance

Very unlikely. You probably use an internal function in Word to save the file in PDF format.

    Exactly how you do it?

  • Select the layers when you export an Indesign book in PDF format?

    Hello

I created a book consisting of separate Indesign files, each containing different languages. Each language is in a separate layer.

Then, I created 4 different book, each of which contains about 5 files. This makes me 4 pounds with all the languages spread over different layers. When I export the book in PDF format, I would like to be able to select the language layer, so I can create a PDF file by language. I can open each file to hide all layers of language except the one I want to export, but it is a tedious job.

I'm wandering if there is a faster way to export in PDF format each language without having to open and re - register each separate Indesign file.

    Thanks for all the comments.

    :-)

    Tom

Why do you need to omit the French layer for a book in German?

    Just export all the layers.

Then, in Acrobat, turn off the French (Italian, Spanish, English?) and leave Germany exposed.

Save as "Meine tollen deutschen Buchmarkt.pdf.

Then, turn off all the layers except the format, and then save it under "my book excellent francais.pdf.

I promise you that no one outside of a very few people will ever know that diapers with other languages hidden there. Almost anyone who uses Acrobat knows there is to all layers. (Except the brilliant people on this forum)

Please provide the app & OS version on your system. Also check if there is an update of the application available for installation (help > check for updates)
