When you start Firefox, 4 or 5 download pages open in a new window.
Firefox 49.02 WIndows 7. When I open FIrefox, it opens to 4 or 5 download windows with the normal start-up window. I tried the reset mode and safely without result. No idea as to what is happening?
Hi, for some reason, your download pages can be defined as your home page.
Firefox is able to open multiple home pages with the URL separated by a "pipe" (|), please see - How to set the home pageand in "Home Page", make sure that in addition to the URL of your homepage, is not something else - if there is, just delete it. (The Firefox start page is Subject: House but you can set a different, or the page tab is on: newtab).
If it's easier, you can just click Restore default instead.
If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

How can I get rid of the box that appears when you start Firefox 'Restore previous Session'?
How can I get rid of the box that appears when you start Firefox 'Restore previous Session'?
Subject: House is the default in Firefox 4 home page - look at the address bar containing the addresses of web page - it is the container for Google search, with a 'extract container' and below these elements is the Previous Session Restore button. It's not the same homepage that previous versions of Firefox used (although it is similar in appearance), it is a 'local' page that won't load the Internet.
Set this page as your home page, which is what Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions had for the default home page. He has Previous Session Restore button/link.

I currently use version 3.6.24 Firefox on my PPC mac with 10.4.11 system. I use Firefox for many years without any problems. I received yesterday and on my screen to alert that there is a new update of Firefox available at the facility. I clicked on OK and the update started. When it's over, I checked and it's the same version, 3.6.24, I used and apparently nothing has changed until I went to my eBay site. Once on my site, I signed in and went to manage my Articles page. The page was different because normally it shows all the items, I have for sale and at the top of the list of points of sale are the three items to check and look at my listings, which I look at you, my profile and my alerts. When you click on one of them you are normally taken to another page. When I went there after apparent installation of the updated release of Firefox page showed my ads in a single column, my profile in another column and third column for my alerts all on one page. This is not normal. I got out and went to my home page which is http://www.rr.com/. Now it was different. Parts of the site have disappeared, the sections with the weather, news, and reviews. I thought it might be the site and then I launched Safari and went to the same page and it is normal. This morning when I started Firefox it shows my home page as screwed up as yesterday. Safari has shown as it should look like. I then started SeaMonkey and it showed the page as it should look like. I really like Firefox and I'd like to get it working again as it should. Would appreciate any suggestions. My email address is [email protected]

I have repeatedly reset the start page in the options settings. I tried to search for the computer names of the web page that is offending to try to find where the file can reside, no chance.
The opening sequence is as follows

behind the window of firefox, I see a screen flash, it seems to be a DOS window that opens and closes instantly.

How can I make a specific page open in a new window when you click on a menu?
Don't know if its possible, but I have a specific page, I want to open in a new window in the browser when you click on to leave a menu widget. I know not how to go and mount the coding, but it would be nice if there is an option in Muse for this already. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.
ryanj4799 You'll need to change the Menu Type of manual in the options of the widget and add you links. Then go in the hyperlinks Panel. Check the option open in a new tab/window.

When you start firefox, it opens windows 50 or more white don't work
I upgraded to 5 FF. When I start the program quickly, open the windows 50 or more whites. It was unusable, so I uninstalled and tried to FF 4.01 and it has the same problem.
I could save it if you tell me where to download or just on Youtube if you want to.
It is possible that there is a problem with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder.
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: opens showing the file
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js
If you see files sessionstore-# .js with a number in the left part of the name as sessionstore - 1.js then delete those as well.
Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and groups of tabs and all tabs open to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).See:

Is this a problem of firexfox, or something is wrong with my drive? I don't have this problem when you use IE or Opera, Firefox only. I have to let Firefox to make changes to my hard drive, or it does not start. Once I click on Yes, Firefox works. However, when I close Firefox and try to open it again, the thing is repeated with msg popup to change the hard drive...
Make sure that Firefox is not set to run as administrator.
Right click on the desktop Firefox shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are disabled in the tab "Compatibility" in the Properties window.
- Privilege level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
- "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" must not be selected
Also check the firefox.exe program properties in the program Firefox (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) folder.

How to activate a download is opened in a new window?
Hello
When I want people to be able to download a pdf document, but when clicked it opens in the same window and therefore takes away them from the page they are on.
How should I do to sopd and open in a different window?
Thank you
I'm actually a native English!
Keep practicing!
This put into the top of the page, just above the tag.
function TJKpopAppPdf(){ // v1.0 | www.TJKDesign.com
var zA=document.getElementsByTagName("a");
for (var i=0;i
// if the type value contains "application/pdf" or if the href value contains "PDF" or if the file is in a "PDF" folder then we have a winner
if (zA[i].getAttribute("href") != null && (zA[i].getAttribute("type") == "application/pdf" || zA[i].getAttribute("href").toUpperCase().indexOf(".PDF") >= 0 || zA[i].getAttribute("href").toUpperCase().indexOf("PDF/") >= 0)){
zA[i].title+="(opens in new window)";
zA[i].className+=zA[i].className?" pdfFile":"pdfFile";
// This spawns multiple windows, but works fine with popup blockers
// zA[i].target="_blank";
// This opens a unique window and brings it in front of the opener each time the user clicks on the link
// Note that the new window opens without a toolbar. This is to avoid further conusion for the visitor
zA[i].onclick=function() {newWin=window.open(this.href,"TJKWin","toolbar=no");if( window.focus){newWin.focus()} return false;}
}
}
}
