  Please use Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs cleanup tool to completely remove DC Acrobat (if you are using Windows), and then restart your system.

That said, we are certainly heard a number of customers who want Acrobat DC 'remember' the last State. So if you close it, it will stay closed when you open it then.   You want to have a fix in place in the coming months ~ 3 here.
