  The Comcast remote uses IR to communicate with the TV box and cable.  Your wireless mouse uses the 2.4 GHz band and the usb dongle plugged into your PC.

  You can do the following:

  Settings > Notifications

  I had the same problem. Initially, the mouse was mad for 30 seconds, but shortly after, it was worse. I switched the keyboard and now everything is ok.
