  First try this...
  Click Start > run > type chkdsk/r > press OK or press the Enter key. A cmd window will appear telling you that the volume is in use and you want to plan its next reboot. Type y and press ENTER. Then restart.
  Try to install the update and check that it installed properly by doing another analysis of Windows Update.

  If this does not do...
  Download the update manually, on your desktop to the http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28608.
  Click Start > run > Browse. In the Browse dialog box, double-click WindowsXP-KB2584146 - x 86 - ENU.exe. The box open term should have the path now. Add a space and an x at the end.

  You tried to do a Scan SFC?  Here's how:

  1. click on Start.

  2. click on all programs.

  3. click on Accessories , right-click on command prompt .

  4. click on run as administrator.

  5. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow or continue.

  6a invites him, type sfc/scannow and press to enter. Once the scan is complete, restart the computer so that the changes take effect

When I replace that left Favorites icon is not there, which is a nuisance that I run with the bookmarks bar in place on the left side of the screen. So having replaced the personal bar, I then to customize by dragging the bookmarks icon and then click on this icon to retrieve my bookmarks sidebar.

  You really do not have this icon of bookmarks, {Ctrl + B} opens and closes the bookmarks bar.

  It is possible that you have a problem with some Add on Firefox which is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

  Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you must make sure that it is not caused by one (or more) of your installed modules, whether an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do this easily and cleanly, start Firefox in safe mode (remember to select disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem goes away, you know that it's an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode and allow them one by one until you find the source of the problem.   As far as I know that satellite A30 is about two years old and agree to your description, I assume that the unit needs to be cleaned. I have Satellite P20, also more than two years, and for a short while I cleaned. You can't imagine how much dust was inside. I have a cat at home and I think half of the cat hair was inside.

  After cleaning, the laptop can take a breath and it works more silent. Now, I am very satisfied. I can just recommend you to do the same.

  I wonder if you can encounter the same problem I am. The same thing happens to me, however, rather than force quit Lightroom, I let stand for about 5 minutes and then everything seems to work. Are you using 2015.4? If so, you could try to roll back to 2015.3, which is what I've done Adobe sinus support could not solve my problem. You can also try to create another user account and open Lightroom. The problem is gone then, and this is the point at which Adobe support said it was an OS X problem and not a problem of Adobe.
