  Possible solution:

  After spending the afternoon to tackle this (troubleshooting, downloads driver updates, etc.) I just found out that my subwoofer cable is bad!  If I raise to create a good connection, the sound is fine... until I can replace it.  Then you can try it.  :)

  Where can I download to install, instead of El Capitan Yosemite? Any attempt to find it has been hitherto always re-directed to El Capitan.

  In the Finder:

  go to the folder where the file is:

  in the menu Finder-> view-> as"select list", then select "ShowViewOptions" and to verify all the columns under "ShowColumns", or at least those you want to see. Then, select the file and see all the columns.

  You upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7?

  You can get your username by going to C:\Users\ and find your user name under Windows Vista and C:\Documents and Settings\ for Windows XP.

  We are unable to provide assistance with respect to the recovery of a password.

  If you are able to connect to your machine and have administrator rights, you can then change your password by clicking on start, right-click on computer and choose manage. Open the users section and groups, then users, right click on your account and choose set password.
