Where can I find the full list of the features of Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional

Could you please direct me to the Microsoft Documents where I can find detailed specifications and characteristics of the two operating systems:

(1) Windows XP Home Edition

(2) Windows XP Professional Edition

Thank you

Hello Roman

Thanks for the clarification on the "new computer".

If, as you say, the card mother and any other material is compatible XP then by all means install Windows XP on this machine. As you said you "my idea is to get the XP and keep as long as possible, even after support ceased in 2014, because I like it better than any other operating system." You have been made aware of possible problems concerning the lack of support and you are ready to accept those. The only problem is to get a copy of Windows XP from a reliable source. Unfortunately, I can't help you with that. Personally, I prefer to get my software direct from the manufacturer or by a reliable retailer. As no other retailer has copies of Windows XP you are, unfortunately, has left the search for credible resource on the web.

My note to the subject of sticking with Windows 7 or 8 on your new computer has been in regards to your initial comment to a "new computer". I have two computers that are running Windows 7 and Windows 8, but then again maybe I need the additional machines and you do not have.

I have to admit that Windows XP is a great operating system, and to be honest, I also use it on a virtual machine on one of my PC. However it is more for support reasons than the generalization on my part.

Windows 7 get some getting used to, but I found it a usable operating system. Windows 8, however, is an altogether different beast. You love or hate it and judging by the comments on the Microsoft forums many people hate everything simply. Yet once I used it since the first beta of the operating system, so I'm used to it.

I agree with voluntary J on Windows XP Mode. This is useful if you have applications that are not compatible with Windows 7. However, as you said in your reply to J to volunteer, you must upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. You can run Windows XP on a virtual machine, with, say, Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 (as a free option); However, you should always buy a copy of XP and new Virtual Machines have some restrictions, especially when it comes to certain types of hardware connected to your PC. Maybe your best bet, if you prefer to upgrade would be to use Windows XP from Windows 7 mode.

I hope that you succeed in your quest for a reliable copy of Windows XP

Where can I find the driver of Windows 8 for mobile phone Pantech P6030?

Currently, there is no Windows 8 driver for mobile phone Pantech Renue P6030.  However, I download pictures from a Pantech Renue by connecting the mobile phone to a computer with Windows 8.  On the phone screen a menu popped up.  I chose mass storage link that connected to the computer, File Explorer.  From there, I did some limited tasks which enabled me to copy the images on my cloud.  Not all features are on the Explorer of files to allow downloading of all the pictures, but accomplished most of the tasks I wanted to finish.

  • HP Pavilion DM1 - 4200sa: where can I find the product key Windows 10?

Where can I find the Windows 10 product key for the upgrade to Windows 7 or Windows 8 to 10?

Windows 10 uses 'digital right '.

If you try to switch to 10 Windows from Windows 7 or 8 and try to do a clean install of ISO created media you find you need a product key that you do not.  The only way to do this successfully is to use the option upgrade of software downloaded using the tool of media Windows 10.  PC Worldhave highlighted that in Windows utility 10 as Magical Jelly Bean Key Finder or Belarc Advisor find the keys to generic product instead of faith.

Windows Pro 10 key users will see KeyFinder or Belarc Advisor: VK7JG NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T.

In 10240 build if you use the PowerShell script of Hexus forumson Windows 10 Pro he must fetch it: T44CG-JDJH7-VJ2WF-DY4X9-HCFC6.

Microsoft uses now, apparently, a process called 'digital right' , which is stored in the BIOS so if you replace your motherboard, for example, your 'digital right' will probably disappear and will not activate Windows 10.

So, before making any change sure to self-organization of backup!

    Hello

You should get your software driver from your computer or hardware manufacturer, not through Windows Update (with the exception of updates from Microsoft Hardware).

Access the site on your computer or hardware manufacturer > Driver and Software Support Section > search your computer or hardware model number > then your operating system > locate the correct drivers > download and install.

  • Where can I get the ISO for Windows 7 Professional edition 64-bit (Spanish)

    Hello

I can't find a link to download the ISO of Windows 7 professional 64-bit Spanish edition.

I have a license key and I would like to burn a DVD with this iso, where can I find it?

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

  • Where can I find the download of Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1?

I did a full restore in Win Vista Home Premium from recovery disks.  When you set the computer, I enabled Windows Update before remembered me that I had to also download Vista Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2.  Windows Update had already downloaded and installed 100 updates before I remembered.

Now, I can't find a download site for Vista Service Pack 1 and 2 on the Windows site.  Every link I click on that is inactive.

Can someone tell me where to go for Vista SP1 and SP2 downloads now that Vista is no longer supported?

    Any other ideas?

Should I still SP1 and SP2?  This computer will serve as my husband for basic e-mail, IE8 and preparation of simple Word documents.  He'll have Norton 360 installed.

Thank you very much in advance for any suggestions or advice.  Rookie mistake - I knew that Vista is no longer supported, but I never imagined that I could not download as basic as the SP1 and SP2 to Windows.  I hope that I simply found the location of the 'magic' yet.

Please, please install all service packs.  Ignore all, messages of "DO NOT click DOWNLOAD if YOU ARE UPDATING a SINGLE computer" read you.  It works very well.

Also - please please install something other than Norton 360 AV.

  • I want to install the backup feature in Windows XP. The instructions say to put the Windows XP CD in the computer. I can only find the reinstallation CD "for XP Home Edition, including Service Pack 1" which is the correct CD or is there another?

This CD is the 'Windows XP' CD?  What he should say about it?  How CD supplied with Windows XP (my computer is probably 4 years old).  I need to install the backup feature in Windows XP.  I cannot find a single CD only and not know if it is right - it's the reinstallation CD.  I don't want to reinstall windows XP. I want to just install the backup feature.

    Hi AlexandraCALIF,

Thanks for posting. The XP CD that the system is referring to is your XP (maybe not the reinstallation CD) installation CD.  I would test of the first reinstallation CD to see if it has components which seeks the system. If it isn't you need to contact your manufacturer and get a CD of the OS on their part.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any questions.

  • Where can I find the drivers of Windows XP Home for Satellite L500D?

Just got my new laptop bueat you. It has AMD processor and stuff and is perfect. But I need to adapt to a new hard drive to install XP as I have always only on Win 7. I couldn't get it to dual boot, more like I do a clean install less all that junk factory installed.
I need XP drivers for the batch. The Australian Toshiba site isn't very useful and ascomprehensive than the United States and I find it difficult to find anything.

Yes I love XP because it has gave me free PCing struggling for a long time. Win7 is good but I need to do a full install of OS and I don't want to wipe WIN 7 either.

So if anyone knows where I can get the drivers made me know. I don't know which ones to go down the American site, their codes of models are different.
I build my own desk tops, so I would have a total control over everything, even this one.

    Hello

I found a few Win XP drivers for some series Satellite L500D on the European driver Toshiba page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

See the page and try to install drivers Win XP only.
All the other missing drivers, you will need to collect clean hands.

  • Where can I find the latest research on Solaris 10 zfs and without?

I know Arul and Christian Bilien did a lot to write about storage related to Oracle technology. Where are the latest discoveries? Of course, there are some exotic configurations that can be implemented to run the optimizer, but is there a set of "best practices" that usually work for 'most people'? Are there common advice for people using Solaris 10 and zfs on SAN hardware (IE, CEM)? Double-stripe must be configured with meticulous care, or it works "well enough" just by taking some rough assumptions?
