  • Where can I get Windows Vista

Someone at - it sources where I can buy a copy of Windows Vista or Windows XP?

It can be obtained from Microsoft.  I suggest you do a search for 'Purchase Vista or XP' on Bing or Google and see if they come up with something useful.  I don't know of places to get more, but I've not really looked at.

If so, you should br able to find sources on search engines.  If this one does not provide any options to refine the search term.  Don't buy OEM software, because the license allows it to be installed only on the original computer that it came installed on - you cannot legally install it on your machine (and you will not be able to activate when the time comes, and then you'll be stuck).

    I hope this helps.

    Original title: Windows 7

It depends to a large where you are, still list Amazon UK most of the versions. What you struggle with is finding a retail pack which is technically what you need. You cannot use the Upgrade Pack, even if you already have a Windows operating system.

The OEM packs that as long as you understand the restrictions (not Microsoft supports load, 64-bit or 32-bit not both, installed only on the 1st PC and cannot be transferred to the future), you can install are more readily available.

Also, you should check that the computer supports Windows 7, all the drivers are available, in general it will be but are not defined.

Then you should be able to disable Secure Boot in the BIOS because it would protect the current installation.

If you have not already purchased the computer if you check the biggest manufacturers on the trade routes of online providers you will find that Windows 7 is still available, it is above all the internal market which is forced in Windows 8. More small manufacturers of PC desktop are also used to define Windows 7, but must reduce quickly if they follow the rules of Microsoft.

  • Window vista business 32 bit auto update not install SP1

I have Window vista business 32 bit on Sony Vaio laptop. My automatic update of the window is on, a lot of updates were installed, I can't find the SP1.  I checked the updates, saw "the view update history" but can't find SP1.  Basic information system shows no service pack. 'Winver' shows Version 6.0 (6000 building). All other window updates have been installed except "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express edition service pack 3 (KB955706) who is still unable to install, do not know for what reason." I guess that there is no link between the failed SQL and SP1. It is after a complete reinstall of Vista 3-4 days back.

Prior to the relocation is in that the original version, Vista SP1 was installed automatically by the Update window.
I wonder if SP1 is already installed, but is not displayed or should I download and install it manually.

Thank you. I was able to install SP1 and SP2 after the changes and the process you described.
    Thank you very much. goyalvimal

  • How can I get Windows 7 Pro 32 bit automatically connect to drives mapped to the startup?

How can I get Windows 7 Pro 32 bit automatically connect to drives mapped to the startup?

    Hello

It should connect as much as the other computers with their car are on the account users are properly configured, security passwords are defined and firewall do not block.

If the system is only yours and there is no need of local network security, enable the guest account on all computers, give them all the permissions and there will be less to worry about connection mapped, but local drive without security.

PS Ce preceding is based on cable connections. If the connections are wireless, it's another story.

Due to the maturity of the wireless adapter and their support through the OS, automatic connection could not occur.

Wireless is great, but most of us try to sneak out of it the uses it was not designed for.

  • Where can I download windows 7 ultimate 32 bit to upgrade a Vista Home Premium 32 bit?

    Hello

I have a little problem. I have this Toshiba laptop comes with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit version. It came with a free upgrade to Windows 7. Toshiba not did me not a CD for Windows Vista or 7. I was too lazy to update. Now my computer has some problems, so I thought I would just upgrade to Windows 7. But I find no legal download online to upgrade. Why is this? Where can I find it? And if they are available, he will ask the product key for windows 7, or I will be able to spend with my key for windows vista?

    I'd appreciate your help.

    Kind regards

    Abbas

    Hello

There are free downloads of Windows 7, but you would need a product key to activate it. It is therefore of no use to you.

You should contact the manufacturer of your laptop, in your case, Toshiba and get the Windows 7 Upgrade in the time to take advantage of the offer.

    This is the upgrade Option:

How does the Windows 7 upgrade Option?

The Windows 7 upgrade Option is available through participating PC manufacturers on some PC and Microsoft on any purchase of packaged product Windows Vista. The Windows 7 upgrade Option applies to Windows Vista Home Premium, Business and Ultimate editions. Your upgrade to Windows 7 will be the comparable version: so you will get either Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional (upgrade to Windows Vista Business) or Windows 7 Ultimate, respectively. The Windows 7 upgrade Option program takes place June 26, 2009 through January 31, 2010. Some manufacturers may choose to shorten the time to upgrade Option.

    Unfortunately, it has expired.

For more information about the offer, please contact Toshiba.
