  All help articles are based on the use of the Bar Menu and not the new button AppMenu.
  Press the alt or F10 key to display the menu bar and use the tools there. Some programmer thought it would be cute to make a difference under the AppMenu button.

  I guess that you have upgraded to Firefox 3.6, no doubt? With Firefox 4 and newer, the Tools menu has been moved. If you click on the big orange "Firefox" button in the upper left corner of your window, you can see the button 'Option '. This is the same option window you had in the Tools menu with the older Firefox. If it does not, press the ALT on your keyboard. Which will bring up a temporary menu like older versions of Firefox.
