where firefox stores the bookmarks

my computer hard drive crashed. I managed to copy files into the folder of firefox on a backup disk. now, I have my computer back once again, but I can't seem to find my favorites after you have copied the files to my new hard drive. I am running windows 7

The "Application Data" in XP/Win2K folder and the folder "AppData" in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.

See the Firefox profile folder:

• Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: opens showing the file
• Vista/Windows 7: C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
• XP: C:\Documents and Settings\ < user > < profile > \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.

• How can I change where firefox stores the logs?

I run 'Fox on a flash drive, because it allows me to keep my history, bookmarks, etc. all together while using ' Fox on several different computers.

I learned recently that Firefox was leaving newspapers on the hard drives of each computer, that I ran it, even from the flash drive. It is a bad idea to several points of view, including privacy and security, so I want to configure my software to write all these newspapers directly in the flash player that I run on, nothing is placed on the computer HARD disk.

If you delete the wrong bookmark, you can use the Undo feature in the library window to restore the bookmark until Firefox is closed. In addition, Firefox stores 10 days of bookmark backups, which can be restored if you already closed Firefox before you realize that you need a deleted bookmark.

• can I redirect where firefox stores the data (bookmarks, cookies, etc...)

I am currently using a product called Deep Freeze on my desk that resets the computer on the setting "frozen" to reboot. The issue I'm having is that I can't remember bookmarks, history, cookies and other data when browsing with Firefox. I was able to redirect IE but can't seem to find a way to do that easily with Firefox.

You can do this by creating a new profile and choose a custom for the profile folder location.

To create a new profile to follow the instructions in the article create a new profile for Firefox on Windows , but in last step, you click on the button Choose a folder to specify where the profile is kept.

A warning regarding where you create this profile folder.

(Copied from the mozillazine knowledge base) A profile folder is not automatically created when you choose the location of the folder to your new Firefox profile. Any file you select becomes the profile folder. If you want to choose a location for your new profile, do not select a folder that contains existing data. You must create an empty folder (preferably with the same name as the new profile) and then select that folder in the Profile Wizard. Note: If your operating system does not provide a "New folder" button in the Profile Wizard, you must manually create the new folder.

If the folder that you select for the new profile contains files non-Mozilla (for example "my documents" on Windows), your profile data will be be mixed with non-Mozilla data. This can result in the loss of all the data in this file, including the non-Mozilla files, if you subsequently delete the profile.

• Where Win7 stores the Windows Virtual PC > XP Mode > XPMUser "My Documents" to access if the virtual XP becomes inaccessible?

Lost all files in XP mode is "My Docs" XPMUser because I can't connect? Same situation. Where Win7 stores the Windows Virtual PC > XP Mode > XPMUser "My Documents" to access if the virtual XP instance become inaccessible? Like many here, I have activated integration and where then asked for a password on the next reboot of the XP Mode. The password that I usually use has not been accepted. I tried all the possible solutions (have "integration" disabled, start with virtual XP safe mode), but not able to change my password XPmode so don't chance NO connection. I have brand new instance of XP Mode works, but obviously does not have access to the CASE of XP Mode instance. My question is simple: where are the files that I created and saved in the default location of the first modes XP XPMUser "My Documents" in Windows 7? I tried Win7 for XP 'My documents' files by names or names of game but no luck. Help, please.

It is located in the file XP Mode VHD (Virtual Hard Drive), you can look as pretty as a ZIP file that contains a structure of entire disk rather than just a few files. This VHD file is usually stored in your user folder in a folder of Virtual Machines, for example mine was in the C:\Users\SKeene\Virtual Machines.

And it's my cheesy guilty pleasure wishes to inform you that you can browse this file as if it were a hard drive, without having to start the XP mode. However, security applies: If your 'My documents' has been limited, it might be difficult to access (even if you pouvez be able to take possession of the file and gain access).
Here's how:
1. Open the Start Menu, right-click on computer and select manage. In the maintenance window of the computer that opens, choose "disk management".
2. On the right side, click "More action" and then click "Attach VHD" and select your XP Mode VHD file. You might consider making a backup of the file copy of the hard drive virtual before do you it, just in case!
3. Once you have connected the virtual hard drive, an Autorun dialog box may appear. If this is not the case, simply click on Start/computer to see your new 'Local disk '.
At least, I can confirm that it worked perfectly for me, and I had access to my account "User XPMode" alongwith without problem.
• Firefox stores the IP address with bookmark?

When I open a Web site and save a bookmark of it, is recorded in a bookmarked favorite site IP address?
When I create a bookmark without having to open a Web site, IP address is recorded when I open the bookmark?

Firefox only takes IP addresses cached for a short time, by default, 60 seconds. As far as I know, the IP address is not registered in the places.sqlite database that stores the history and bookmarks (it is not very effective for data of this short to have validity to go on the drive).

• Where to store the images uploaded on the device memory

My app download pictures on the internet and stores them in the file system of the device. The problem I have is that I don't know where to store these images. If I store them in the pictures folder in the device memory or the SD card, they appear in the photo gallery of phones which is not acceptable.

I need advice on the storage location of these images.

Thank you

Welcome on the support forums.

If your application is the only user of images you can store them in a different format or with another extension, this avoids them listed in the overview.

more complicated would be encryption, but also quite possible, just take the array of bytes of each image, encrypt him and then add it as a file.

• Where EAS stores the server names?

We migrated to new servers in production. Now the problem is all BR users need to connect to EAS and manually add the essbase server. If they do not, they are unable to see the new essbase server in the drop in HBR.

So that got us thinking, there must be a file where these server names are stored? This file may be migrated and then users do not need to add servers all over again.

Reading of more to life than that...: where EAS stores user information it should have all the information you're looking for.

• [ADF, JDev12.1.3] Opening SESSION: a session ID, HTTPSession, brought bean, UserData... where to store the information? (And other doubts...)

Hallo,

my simple application has this main stream job boundless...

1)

I see that when I call the login page of this URL http://127.0.0.1:7101 / MyApplication/faces/login, to which - in the address bar - it is auto-ajouté for example ' jsessionid = Wn2ymE_3cC2JXHYtG7_ocZDgMgonLyr376zejB-ui28UPlm5tiuB! 1535501325 ".

So I guess that the session exists as soon as the user access the login page.

• I would like to know if I have to worry about a possible previous session (especially another user session).
• If the user on the home page click the back button in the browser the application creates a new session to destroy the possible previous session?
• BdW, if my request to place the values in the HTTP session would be a good practice as part of the bean connection null all the attributes of the session?
• And if my request to place the values in UserData would be a good practice as part of the bean connection null all the attributes of the container UserData?

2)

• Is it better to store the information in the HTTP session or UserData?
• It is less safe than the other? Otherwise why is there the need to have 2 types of sessions?
• Could he have no sense in storing an individual data in the HTTP session and UserData at the same time?
• I have seen that the HTTP session is very easy to access, view and (if necessary) and the layers of the model. Is the same as for UserData, or it can be accessed only by the model layer?

3)

• In my case, I want to share my application the user in user data:
• First and last name (only at the end of the display)
• Name of the service (only at the end of the display)
• Username and DepartmentId (these hairy should be passed to the query and the view of your criteria)
• Where I put those values? Who, in the HTTP session? Who in UserData?

4)

• I'm in doubt if using a scope session bean or - since the data that I have to share is really little - use the 'basic' (e.g. ectx.getSessionMap () .put ("key", "ValueToStore")).
• If I use an extended session bean and I store of simple values (integer, String,...) I don't have to worry about serialization (de)?
• A scope session bean is accessible from the model layer as the HTTP session basis (what I can put by ectx.getSessionMap () .put ("Key", "ValueToStore"))?
• And in my situation I could handle everything with a single between UserData anda HTTP session?

These questions are intended to create a simple login system that stores data needed somewhere in the different parts of my application.

So any advice is welcome!

Thank you

-When you close your browser, this will destroy the session

-None

-It will be much easier to invalidate the entire session (HttpSession method for this object)

-When you destroy the http session, it will destroy the Application modules, and it will destroy UserData

-We already discussed in a previous thread so I won't comment

-both are secure. HttpSession exist in java web applications and UserData is specific ADF.

-Maybe (for example, it is not recommended to access the HttpSession of model project, so you can store some data in the UserData (to be referenced from your, etc.) and managed (so you can bind them directly to UI) Bean)

-Are accessible only from template (but you can expose a custom to ViewController method that accesses UserData)

• First and last name (only at the end of the display)

• Username and DepartmentId (these hairy should be passed to the query and the view of your criteria)
• Where I put those values? Who, in the HTTP session? Who in UserData?

My opinion:

Name, first name, name of the Department-> session brought average managed (so you can link that directly to the user interface components)

UserId, DepartmentId-> UserData (or you can store managed bean and pass as parameters to methods of model project)

4)

-with getSessionMap () .put (), you must pay attention to the data types when you change or retrieve values (for example, do you know if DepartmentId is Integer, BigDecimal, oracle.jbo.domain.Number,..) If this isn't "type-safe". In addition, it is easier to understand what your application keep in session if you managed bean that in order to find all the places you're calling the method getSessionMap () .put (). And controlled beans are a 'natural' way to keep data in a JSF/ADF application.

-Not (just brand bean session with the Serializable attribute)

-You can do something similar to this, but this is not a recommended practice because it would break the MVC pattern

-If you do not have too much, you can keep everything in HttpSession and expose methods to set the binding vars.

• Add-on of the Adobe Acrobat PDFMaker DC in Office 2010 Word does not store the bookmarks in the form of links

I want to try Acrobat CD to see if it will generate PDFs from Word 2010 documents and preserve hyperlinks to bookmarks between documents correctly. I don't get work as I hope.

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise. I have Adobe Acrobat installed DC (the trial version).

I see the problem as shown in the following steps:

1. Open Microsoft Word 2010
2. Type a new text on the first page, but without adding a hyperlink yet.
3. Save it as "origination.docx".
4. Close this document.
5. Open Microsoft Word 2010 again.
6. Add text to the first page.
7. Type CTRL + ENTER to insert a new page and on the second page, add text (it comes to check that the navigation between documents using hyperlinks on the bookmarks navigates to that favorite and is not just get stuck on the first page).
8. Add a bookmark called "bookmark1.
9. Save this document under "destination.docx".
10. Close this document.
11. Open the document "origination.docx".
12. Insert a hyperlink to an existing document, and then select document "destination.docx". Click Favorites, and then select "bookmark1. Click ok:http://i.stack.imgur.com/fthuv.png
13. Save this document.
14. Select Acrobat menu, then click on create a PDF file:
15. Click the Options button and in the window, select Convert favorite Word, and then click Ok and click Ok again.
16. This saves the pdf file and then open it in Acrobat.
17. Then I see this:
18. Only one left clicking this link does nothing.
19. Double left click on the link does nothing.
20. Right mouse click on this link brings up a context menu that does not show that it is a link:
21. That's why I can't do anything on this link is what I expected: I think it's a link, but instead, it's just text that happens to have the color of a hyperlink (blue).
22. I opened the origination.docx and inspect the properties of hyperlink. Placing the cursor over the link in Word 2010 says:
23. Right mouse clicking on the link and selecting Edit the hyperlink:
24. Shows:
25. The bookmark is correct as far as I can tell: I see destination.docx #bookmark1 in the address field.
26. Click Ok.
27. Then CTRL-click on the link to make sure it opens on "destination.docx", and he successfully navigate this bookmark in Word.

So, what's the problem here? Must Acrobat DC some additional preferences changes so that it works?

Thank you

BG

(OT: there is no way to download files other than videos and images; otherwise I had to provide the .docx files).

The option that you chose "Create bookmarks" aims to create bookmarks in Acrobat, which is a completely different concept of Word bookmarks. Is it creates bookmarks? The option isn't about bookmarks to links, and it is not clear that it should work. Acrobat and PDF has never supported links TO a bookmark in a PDF document, somehow. Bookmarks are a feature of navigation manual, not a destination.
