When I used to click on the tab + one already open to open a new tab that he used to open a display of windows (not tabs) my most used sites and I could simply click on the window to directly join the debates. Now I get only a blank page and the address bar empty. I am very unhappy that this facility has disappeared. How can I get it back? I have used many. When I open a new tab, I get redirected to a page that is not google. I want to start with google and go from there.
You can check the browser.newtab.url pref on the topic: config page and set this pref to your preferred the new tab page.
- the new default tab with the tiles page is on: newtab
- the default homepage is Subject: Home
- to a blank page, you can use Subject: vacuum
The pref browser.newtabpage.enabled must be set to true to use the page defined through browser.newtab.url like the new tab page.
See this article on the page tab (topic: newtab):
Your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.
The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here. You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session. You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

I installed Firefox as my default browser with Google as my default search engine. I've eliminated Bing in the drop-down list in Firefox of spare engines. However, when I am browsing and open a new tab, the Bing search page appears. Google is still in the line of research at the top of the page.
I want Google to be the search engine displayed, not Bing.

I love Firefox, but this problem frustrates me. I want to access a favorite site and have bookmarked. When I click this bookmark, the site opens in a sidebar! How can I open in the window of the tab complete?
You can change the properties of the bookmark for this problem.
If you right click and choose Properties, you will check a box to the bottom of the dialog box that opens the bookmark in the sidebar. Uncheck the box that and click Save.
It work?
(When you use a link on a Web site to store a bookmark, they added in this way. You can use Ctrl + d or the 'star' of the address bar to add the bookmark without opening it in the box.)

When you open a new tab Firefox remains on the old tab and does not switch to the new. I could not fing where correct this (in tools)
Ah, I see. As far as I know, this behavior is not subject to a preference of the user. My best guess is that an extension or plugin interferes. To test this theory, you can try to use mode without failure of Firefox:

I'm used to be able to type in a search or URL when you open a new tab. Now, I only get the "flaps" which show most recently open tabs. I had to go to alternative browsers to go to websites not in my top 9 or to open new windows, which is a pain.
