  Hey!

  I just bought a Toshiba Mini PCI Card on ebay. When I opened the cover of the Mini PCI Slot I see not the range cable for the antenna. If I put the card into the slot, Windows detects and installs but I can't connect to the available network. Windows says that the material conncention (antenna) may not only be o.k. someone of experience with that? I don't want to unscrew the laptop to find the cables.

  The antenna is built into the X 201 cover. Take a look on the schema provided with your computer... the antennas are upper left, upper right, and right if you look at the screen in portable mode.

  I have Toshiba Satellite A30 (part No. PSA33A - 87 M 34) which was bought in Australia.
  I just bought the PA3298U-1MPC wireless connection kit a couple of days. The installation guide says I should connect two cables. But I can't find them. There are no cables in the compartment. There are no antennas in both wireless kit.
  So the first question is if I should have antennas in wireless kit (I'm not sure that he has not lost the seller).
  If these cables must be in Notepad then I need help to find them.

  If the unit has a wireless antenna, the cables are usually there and visible immediately when the lid of the WLAN card is removed. From your description, I assume that your device is not ready WLAN.

  You can order the adapter antenna at the Toshiba service partner in your country.
  As I know the cable antenna adapter bit was delivered with the laptop. Therefore, you should be able to order it.

  It seems that I somehow function phone off.  Although I turned the phone market by using the red button I suddenly the word 'off' in the upper left corner of the screen next to the icon of the antenna instead of the bars indicating signal strength. As a result, does not connect to the system.

  I took out the battery and restarted without success.  I guess I did something stupid.

  I have to put 7 wsn nodes in the same case. It may seems odd, but its in the middle of a bridge so the wireless is still useful, and at the time where there is a right way to use a multiplexer with wsn node, this is the only way to have more than 4 channels. So, to save space in my closet, I thought it might be a good idea to place 4 knots with the antenna upward and 3 knots with their antenna pointing down.

  Nodes with their antenna pointing down will be adapted?

  Hi Matt,

  The position of the antenna won't have too much impact on the responsiveness, instead, the distance between the gateway and WSN nodes will decide power factor of the signal. If you start to have problems of interference, you can assign different channels for each node in the Explorer of Measurement & Automation.

  I need some ideas on how to make a project.

  I need control a false antenna (I say false because it will be not attached to anything, just for purposes of exposure) using LabView.

  The antenna will be very low (about 15cm in diameter and made from lightweight materials) so I won't need powerful engines. I thought hang on 2 engines not to no (maybe a printer) to a kind of Control Board and a PC with LabView. The antenna must move 360 degrees on a basic round and 180 degrees of elevation.

  I found a video on youtube which is much more complicated and much heavier than what I need, but should give you a better idea what I'm talking about.
