I prefer the old (the old configuration with the toolbar on top, but if that can't do, how to migrate to the new configuration that apparently puts the tools on the side, if I'm not mistaken.

  If you have the toolbar to the former, you can always go to private browsing by clicking on tools, then on 'Start private browsing'. All located in the Firefox button options in the old-style toolbar, just maybe a little more hidden.

  To activate you button Firefox, go to view, then toolbars, then uncheck "menu bar". You should have the Firefox button.

  Looks like you are entered in the mode "full screen" by accident. To exit the mode full-screen, press F11 on your keyboard, or move your mouse to the upper right of the screen and click on the button that looks like two overlapping windows.
