Where is the "install windows" (ISO) file on my computer?

I have a Windows 7 Professional. What I intend to do is to create an ISO bootable disk so I can install a part of windows on my mac, but there is only one problem. My windows computer came with an installation disk. It automatically starts the installation when I turned on the computer. In the files on my computer, I tried to find the installation folder in the c: / windows folder, but I don't see any folder the installer, or an ISO file. Nobody knows where the file (ISO) Setup of windows on my computer. Be very specific. Any help will be appreciated.

As I said, to reinstall your computer, he has often a recovery partition that can be used to return to a factory State.   Various computer suppliers often offer an option and the utility to create a recovery media put on DVD or a USB.  This is very recommended to do what the other method is not usable, when there is a catastrophic hard disk failure.

What you can't do is create a generic Windows media can be used to install on another computer. (If you could would be to license and activation issues).

Until recently, it was possible to download an ISO and makes a generic Windows installation media.  This has been recently removed.  MS has a way to download an ISO for only retail media now.

It is still possible to buy Windows 7 on the secondary market, but media retail versions are extremely expensive.  A "system builder" OEM media is cheaper and more available.

  • Old computer is dead, HARD drive still alive. Can I install windows 7 on your new computer without formatting the old HARD drive?

My old desktop computer recently died of a motherboard failure.  As I understand it, I should be able to install windows 7 from my old computer to the new, but only if I delete the old installation.

Does this mean that I have to format the old HARD drive?  Because the old computer HARD drive seems to be alive, I would retrieve the data on a new machine first, before I have to format and I need to install windows on the new computer to get the data from the old HARD drive.

No, it is taken on trust that the old installation is no longer active, there is no mechanism to remove the old license in order to make a valid new. Remove the Windows directory (or rename) makes the old system inoperative.

You find that the automatic authentication fails on new construction and need to call the licensing Center to check that you have only one installation. Apart from the OEM rules if a license has been activated too often, and recently, it fails in a 1 time.

  • I have a PC with windows 7 Home Premium installed. The PC is faulty and cannot be resolved. Can I reinstall the same Windows 7 to a new computer without additional cost?

I have a PC with windows 7 Home Premium installed. The PC is faulty and cannot be resolved. Can I reinstall the same Windows 7 to a new computer without additional cost? If yes how can I do this? Some people reported issues license keys and it cannot be registered once in a PC.

    Thank you

It is the major limitation of the OEM software that it can be installed on a PC. The COA label will confirm whether the license is OEM. A number of elements can be replaced in a PC in the way of repair, but only if exactly the same model of Council can this be exchanged.

Even if you transfer the drive to the new PC would not authenticate because of the change of equipment, and it would be unlikely to to re-authenticate online.

If the label is not OEM and you have a retail package, so it can be transferred.

  • Can I install Windows Journal on a Mac computer?

Can I install Windows Journal on a Mac computer?  I currently use Windows Journal to teach by posting paper documents on a smart board.  The administration requires me to switch to a Mac, but I don't want to lose the Journal and its capabilities.  I will not need to use a pen on the computer, I use the stylus on the smart board.  I would buy the windows software of newspaper and try to download on a Mac.  Can I order windows software log?

    You have two problems here:

    1. Programs Windows cannot be installed on a Mac.
    2. Windows Journal is not available as a separate program.

If the Administration allows it, you can install Windows on a Mac with Mac OS X. Then, there are two ways to access the applications Windows explained here:

You can buy a copy of Windows to do this.

Yes, you can remove it. Close all programs, restart the computer and try to delete it again.

If the problem persists, try to start safe mode and delete it.

  • Where can I install Windows Live - the email client, not the e-mail service?

I had a problem or two with my emails, as shown in this forum. A good piece of advice, it's that I should install Windows Live, the mail client (not Windows Live Mail, the mail service.

I looked up and down on Ms sites - none other than the basics, including Livemail.

I found it on File Hippo and Cnet, but both want to install additional software to speed up the download. I had problem with one of these programs a year back and I'm happy to wait as long as it takes to download it.

-Can anyone tell me the MS page so that I can download the Windows Live Mail client please?

It is part of the essential elements of Windows, but you don't have to download anything.

  • Wizard Boot Camp 6.0.1 does not install Windows ISO 10? Application for USB?

Hey guys, so I bought this Mac Mini back in September and installed Windows 10 through an iso image on the subject. The problem occurred when everything started trolling. Anyway, now I'm on El Capitan, and I can not install Windows 10 ISO images. He is constantly asking me to have a USB key where previously it was not.

    1. in which year is the Mini?

  • where is the wallpaper of graphic files located?

The place of 'repair' who 'fixed' my computer added a bunch of pictures that I want to DELETE my "Properties" and I also want to add files customized for the wallpaper.  Where are the files located on the C drive?  They have not yet found and to tell you the truth, just can't remember where they are.  : )

I don't think that this place of the computer's real competent...  I don't want to take my office back in there for this problem, I think I can fix my own.  I built this 'thing'!

Thanks for any help/comments/hints/instructions that you have!

    Katie

    Hello 1Startdancer,

My apologies. I assumed (wrongly) that the photos had been stored in the folder of wallpaper. It seems that the repairman took pictures "as wallpaper."  To do this the photos must be stored in the folder "photo". If you already have other copies of these photos elsewhere the best solution is to delete all those photos in the folder "photo". Once you've done that, go into display properties (right click on the desktop and select Properties, and then in the Properties window, select desktop). Once you see the list of wallpapers, select one that naturally belongs to Windows (do not select one of the photos you want to get rid of that) and then click on apply. Once you have selected a windows desktop and the desktop has refreshed, close display properties and then open the properties of display again. Photos that you removed should be now is no longer there.

  • blocked when the install window 7

Dell vostro 3450, window 7 professional 64, try to install window7 from the cd given with a computer laptop while in purchase. but hangs at the expansion of the files of the window 0% and sometimes crashes at different location. Please help me.

Installation may stop if the system cannot copy files. Here are some possible causes and solutions for this problem:

Your Windows installation disc is scratched, smudged, or dirty. Clean the disc with a soft cloth, insert it in the CD or DVD drive, and then start the Windows installation again. If your installation disc is damaged, you may need to replace it. For more information, go to how to replace lost, broken, or missing Microsoft software or hardware on the Microsoft Web site.

Your CD-ROM or DVD drive is not working properly or the disk might be vibrating too much for the laser correctly read data. For more information about this problem, see your hardware documentation or contact the manufacturer of the CD or DVD drive.

If your computer has multiple CD or DVD drives, your computer may attempt to locate files on the wrong drive. If your computer has a feature to disable CD or DVD drives that are not used, turn off readers that you don't use. Otherwise, try to insert the disc in a different drive, and then restart the installation.

This is usually caused by hardware or software that is not compatible with Windows 7. If you have this problem, follow these steps:

Wait about 10 minutes to see if the installation continues. Look at the led on the hard drive (often a small light on your computer that blinks when your hard drive is running) to see if there is no activity. If your hard drive seems to be working, the installation must be current. If your hard disk doesn't seem to work, go to step 2.

Uninstall all antivirus software, and then restart your computer. Don't forget to enable antivirus software after you install Windows.

If the installation fails again, it may be a hardware incompatibility problem. Go to the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor on the Microsoft website to see if your computer can run Windows 7.

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

If the computer still stops responding during Setup, contact your manufacturer computer or your retailer.

  • Where are the 3rd party application files stored?

When I install an application "Hello World" simple on my BB device, is the *.cod extracted in the hierarchy of the original file of the classes?

If so, where are the class files physically stored? How can I find out the absolute path of this application? I can browse its files?

Also, is stored on the flash memory, NV store, or on the SD card?

You will not be able to find the class files associated with your cod.

I think you are trying to create a class file, you can run dynamically.  You'll never be able to do it, at least not with the current JVM.
