Where my Yahoo toolbar did disappear?

My auto updated browser updated for Fire Fox 36 today. The Yahoo toolbar is now empty, except for the Yahoo Mail link. I tried to update the toolbar, but receive a failure message when I try. Is it possible to go back to Fire Fox 35?

Have you tried to download using another browser? You can save to your desktop and then drag it from there on a Firefox tab open.

It is a new version of the toolbar now available at https://us.toolbar.yahoo.com/ (if you can get the site to work): 3.2.11. 20150226051211

Also: https://sxp.yimg.com/ei/toolbar/ie/yahootoolbar-3.2.11.20150226051211_intl-_sc-_pc-_dc-.xpi

It is possible to reinstall Firefox 35.0.1, but not recommended. Please see: install an older version of Firefox.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
    • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

    I hope this helps!

  • Impossible to uninstall Yahoo toolbar from Firefox

I repost part of another thread that was closed because no one is really listening to people who are showing the problem.

    Quote:

I had the same problem, once I installed Yahoo Messenger. I asked do not install the toolbar, but it has been installed. Then I uninstalled it, I disabled it to addons, yet, the toolbar was there little matter what I did. I uninstalled Firefox, reinstalled, download mozilla, the toolbar was always there. I did all what it takes to uninstall a piece of software, without being "the tech guy". I don't have the same problem in Chrome or Internet Explorer. It has been uninstalled from all other browsers, when I removed the program from the control panel. I don't see what I can do to get rid of him. I chose to hide just for now, but it bothers me that I have a piece of software that acts like a virus, do stuff I don't want it to do. And for the record, I'm not confused about yahoo search and toolbar for yahooo. Right-click on the interface, allowed me to check or uncheck exactly this "yahoo toolbar".

    /quote

That's exactly my problem as well.

In the other thread several people said 'turn off in your Add - ons' as well as the poster above mentioned and I can confirm * is not in the modules area *.

Others said "use Add/Remove in Control Panel" and like the poster above mentioned, and once again, I can confirm * I did it and it is more appear in Add/Remove, but the toolbar is still annoyingly there. *

Yet, others have said "you must have downloaded a special version of Firefox yahoo ' no, we (or at least I) didn't. The toolbar has been installed when I installed Yahoo messenger

-I can't believe that a "clean" Firefox install is the answer to this problem - if yes, that's all just ridiculous.

If there is no real answer, I can accept that, but I am frustrated that people are posting answers that clearly are not the right answers because people with problems have been very clear on the issues.

Thanks for reading, please help if you can.

  • How to fix the yahoo toolbar

My yahoo toolbar is not editable, and is essentially useless. The button refresh does not work, and none of the icons (apps) are ones I used to have. Yahoo instructions suggest using the sign, which doesn't seem so. I've seen other people with similar problems, but mine is with Firefox version 20.0 and Windows 7. My computer is new, and I used sync to keep my settings in Firefox, bookmarks, etc, which may or not be related to the problem. Yahoo help was better and more personalized. Now I can not even find a way to communicate with them. Someone elsewhere on this site gave a phone number, but I've been waiting forever. Any ideas?

One of the earlier answers suggested a reinstall of Firefox using this link
    http://downloads.Yahoo.com/Firefox/?code=108
You don't have to uninstall Firefox.

I tried on my first computer and it worked. Now, I did to the laptop and I ' m back in business. When I restart Firefox it does not update to a newer version. What I have not done is shut down my computer so, I keep my fingers crossed. I don't know who it is - the fault Yahoo or Firefox, but I hope that they prevent this from happening again. I am lost without my Special icons on the Yahoo toolbar.

  • Yahoo toolbar has lost and can not reinstall because PC think its always there. Anyone?

After restarting my computer this weekend, I realized my Yahoo toolbar was missing (as was the possibility of opening a 2nd window). Tried to reinstall the toolbar because my PC thinks I have the latest version already installed. How can I install the fees? Or rather how do I uninstall the missing toolbar so that I can install it then again? I am running XP Pro on this PC. I use the toolbar to access many sites as well as for the bookmarks. Please tell me what I did to cause this so that I can avoid this inconvenience in the future.
    Thank you.

Amazing! I repeated the steps 4 times Corrupt_localstore.rdf and it worked finally. Done the same every time so that I would know exactly how to rectify if this happens again. And all this time I thought that repeating the same things over and over again and expect a different result, it was the definition of insanity. Although I am crazy but I had a different result, which is the only crazy this time?

I want to thank you again for the help. I tried to get help of Yahoo and never got a response after receiving the assurance that I would receive a response - soon. It was days ago and nothing yet. You have both responded in hours. (And jscher2000 - you continued to offer advice despite the specific nature of the problem). I am truly grateful. Not only is the back of the tool bar, but has not lost a single application. I'll be sure to recommend the forum at all. Already I suggest Firefox to everyone. Now, I can happily tell them about this.

    Have a great weekend.

  • How can I put my Yahoo toolbar already installed since my browser IE from my FireFox browser?

Before my Firefox browser, I used IE8 for quite awhile. I have a toolbar for Yahoo, installed in my system already my setup initial home page in Internet Explorer. Now, I use Yahoo as one of my homepages in Firefox and would like to have available Yahoo toolbar when I connect to my browser. I know how to import my bookmarks/favorites from other browsers, I already did. Move the Yahoo toolbar that is suited to my way, my old IE8 browser to my new FF browser? I don't want to re - install, once again, if I have to. All of my favorite/buttons links are set up CNN News, You Tube, etc.

Cannot move the Yahoo of IE to Firefox toolbar, they differ totally 'behind the scenes '. However you can install, http://us.toolbar.yahoo.com/ , and I think that if you sign in with your Yahoo account, it syncs your data.
