Viruses such as the behavior of the Acrobat Reader software. I have a laptop running WIN 7 and kaspersky AV. yesterday when I started my laptop I see all the icons from the browser on my QuickStart bar have been changed to the adobe reader icon and also observe that many other programs on my desktop have changed to the adobe reader icon. If you click the icon it opens adobe reader. I deleted Adobe reader using Add or remove programs and the icons back to normal. Yet once, I downloaded and installed Adobe reader 11. the problem has resurfaced. then again, I've uninstalled adobe reader software and installed Adobe Reader version 10 with the same question back. I have now uninstalled Adobe Reader. Please advise on how to install a working copy Adobe reader which will not infect or impinge upon other programs in my laptop.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe but my computer does not allow me to uninstall. Had to restart the computer and turned on will not go beyond Windows Vista of the screen blue, not able to see the start with all the icons page
Restore point:
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

All the icons and screen menus desapeared start-up; Windows XP.
After that I had "repaired" my PC with "AntiVir" asked me if I want all the files to repair damaged. I clicked 'Yes', the PC has restarted and I was amazed to see all the icons and the menu start disappeared from the screen. So, now I could open only programs from the Windows Task Manager. Please, help me find the way out of this situation. Thank you in advance.

You see only your background image and the wallpaper?Miss all your desktop icons and you don't see the taskbar at the bottom of the screen or are simply missing icons and you can see the taskbar at the bottom?Check the simple things first. Right-click on an open space on your desktop, choose Arrange icons by and make sure the option show desktop icons has a check mark next to it. This will work if you don't miss you that the desktop icons, but still see the Start button and the taskbar. If only you can see your wallpaper background picture and don't see the desktop icons and no start button or taskbar, this means that the explorer.exe program does not run (and it must be running) or the explorer.exe program are usually afflicted. A good way to think about at the moment, it is that the process explorer.exe "is" your desktop. If this is the case, the malicious software in general is preparing. What is your system brand and model? What is your version of XP and the Service Pack? You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..Sometimes your anti malware program to quarantine (and indeed remove) your file explorer.exe (or other critical files on the XP system) if it finds that the file is infected. The file may really be infected, but you can know for sure and then reconsider your anti malware options.First, you need to get your work desk, then you can solve your problem of potential malware.Of your background image, press CTRL-ALT-DEL and open Task Manager.Look at the processes tab and if the process explorer.exe is not running, start it as follows:In Task Manager, click file, new task, and in the Open box, enter:%windir%\explorer.exeClick OK and see if get you your office. If explorer.exe is already running in the processes tab, it is likely that the object of the affection and will need to be replaced (which is not difficult). If you notice that the explorer.exe process is already running in the Task Manager, highlight the explorer.exe process, and then click end process to stop and start a new explorer.exe process as described above. If things look right now, your system is still not fixed, but it should be enough usable so now you can fix it.I would start with these scans:Perform scans for malware first, then these scans by operating clean, difficulty of problems:Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/They can be uninstalled later if you wish. Please report back with information about your system and your results if you need additional assistance.Do, or do not. original title: Auto Adjust
Hello.
Whenever we start to use our computer, the screen goes black and the message 'Auto adjust is in Prgress'. Then, all of our screen is small and all the icons and pages are smaller than before.
I tried restoring the system that works and that gets our screen back to normal but every day that this Auto setting is coming and we can't seem to stop it.
Any help would be appreciated... Thank you
Try this:
Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.
Then:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution
Change the screen resolution
Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.
