Which PCI ports?

I have to buy a new PC to drive several cards IO OR (digital, analog, mixers, RS322...). The specifications for the computers indicate several types of PCI ports. Is how important it? I have to select some specific PCI ports to be compatible with cards OR? -Thank you

This is important because there are PCI and PCI Express cards. PCI Express is the current standard, so you have to make sure that the data acquisition cards are available in this format.

Which is for the PCI, based on serial port or parallel installation file Netmos product. NetMOS was later acquired by Moschip, so their names can be appear.

If you have recently installed any PCI serial port/parallel, or some other hardware base that internally could use that, then you will get this file. Also if you already had this component in your system and updated the driver to use the latest update of windows, then also this driver will be highlighted recently.

In my opinion, is not a dangerous file and you can continue to use it safely.

The only time you usually get trouble with USB ports is when you mix both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices.

    • For all USB 3.0 is backward compatible, it is simply not the case that all the older devices are USB 3.0 compatible.  If you have a problem with an older device, consider that it may be because it is plugged into a USB 3.0 hub / port.
    • Not all hubs are created equal.  If you try to run some devices high speed (things you plug a hub) on a lower speed (2.0) turntable, they may lose the integrity of the data (Act funny) or refuse to perform certain tasks (depending on the device).  These devices may work best when it is plugged directly into the computer no matter that they are running as the USB 3.0 or USB 2.0.  It is not, therefore, necessarily what port the hub is connected - rather, it could be the hub itself (if you have problems).

Peripheral USB could better with a reboot - some may not reset at all without rebooting.  A USB hub, one of the simplest types - these are usually plug-and-play.  That's all that is connected to the hub, which could be the determining factor for the restart.  It's Windows - it is always better to restart when things change.

  • Sandy Bridge (mobo Cougar Point) on p6780t - which SATA ports?

There are 6 SATA "ports" in my HP p6780t, and I understand that only four SATA II (Rev 2.0, 3.0 Gbps) ports that are affected by the problem of recall of Cougar Point.  On the motherboard, I see four SATA connectors to real (labeled ports 1-4: blue, white, clear, and orange, respectively) and two empty spaces reserved (ports 5 and 6).  Anyone know which ports are ports SATA III (Rev 3.0, 6.0 Gbit/s)?

Since I do not plan to use more than two connectors, one for the hard drive and the other for the optical drive, I would rather identify the ports assigned to go through the hassle of return computers.

For clarity, I will use the physical labels located on the motherboard.  (Physical tags are turned off by how they are numbered in the software and in the diagrams).

According to the usefulness of Gigabyte and patterns, both good SATA III ports are those who is physically marked 'SATA 1' and ' SATA 2 "- these are two ports, turned to the side to hard drives and are dark blue and beige and white color respectively.". "  Out of the box, all you have to do is to move the connection from the DVD of the 'SATA 3' (light blue) port for the "port SATA 2."(beige/blanc) ".   Cable is a little tense, but there is just enough length to it.

Hello, my ESXi server sits on the private network, and I'm trying to PAT so that I can access the external network using VMWare Infrastructure Client Server. Does anyone know what port is VMWare Infrastructure Client listen? Thank you.

Do the external network for VMware NAT

I guess you mean that your server is located in the internal network and Client is on the outside.

If the customer does not have to "listen" for connections it opens TCP ports - HI 1024-65535 to servers as follows.

Servers (including GSX) TCP ports: 8222, 8333, 902

If you have ESX (i) then TCP ports: 80, 443, 902

In any case I use it for 7 hours with latest version of Ubuntu 14.04 - 1 LTS and experinced is great. But I can't able to identify which USB port is a USB 3.0 among all available USB ports. In this model, there are three USB ports available - two located right off DVD player and one located next to left hand next to the LAN port and all are in black color.

Now the litarature provided with this laptop is very in the Appendix, so anyone who can let me know which one is USB 3.0, it will be very useful.

    2. What is the brand and model of the PCI Port of IO Parallels?

    3. you use this to connect to any printer?

    4. What is the brand and model of the printer?

Usually, when you insert the card in the system, Windows will automatically install the generic drivers.

For more information, see the articles:

  • Windows 7 - Pci to Pci bridge (error: Code 10)-PCI video card

Before that I declare my problems I will list what I'm running and I am trying to accomplish.

I'm under edition 64-bit of Windows 7 Enterprise, not the Beta or RC. I have 3 video cards in my possession (listed below).
    -(PCIe) Evga GTX260
    -(PCI) Evga 9400GT
    -Evga (PCI) Fx5500
Out of these 3 cards I only use the GTX260 and the 9400GT. I had to "retire" the Fx5500 because drivers latest WHQL (certified) only provided support as far down as the cards of Nvidia "6 series". Unfortunately the Fx5500 is a 'series 5' and falls below this line. I already tried to use the GTX260 and Fx5500 in earlier versions of Windows (XP and Vista), but there is no way to download and install two separate drivers for two of the same video card do - you will have nothing else to errors. There is the option to go to a place like guru3d.com and download a supported driver custom which covers both the GTX260 Fx5500, but drivers are not certified and lack support. Therefore, I bought and now use the 9400GT is covered by pilots for the GTX260, which eliminates the need for messing around with custom drivers. Also, the 9400GT has a better graphics processor and more memory than the Fx5500, so it was time to upgrade anyway.

Now that you have some info here is my problem, whenever I have install the 9400GT as I get a second entry "pci to pci bridge" (the other entrance has no errors) that appears under "System devices" in Device Manager. The entrance of bridge pci to pci second has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point, which refers to a problem. When you check the properties of this unit it is more or less said that Windows has detected a problem (error Code 10). The GTX260 is still working and still comes in "graphics cards" as a GTX260, but there is no entry for the 9400GT. I tried the 9400GT in two PCI ports and each time it does the same thing. If I get out the GTX260 and ONLY operate the 9400GT, I always get the question of the pci to pci bridge, BUT I get a picture and can boot into Windows 7 without a hitch. When I do that it is still nothing listed under "graphics cards" as a 9400GT or even a VGA compatible device.

After messing around with this for 10 hours (Yes, I said 10 hours) I decided to dig my retirement (the Fx5500) PCI video card. When I installed this card I had no entry bridge PCI to pci 2nd appear under "System Devices", and one that appeared had no yellow triangle or error codes. I then checked under "Graphics cards" and Windows 7 it was recognized as a VGA-compatible device and asked for drivers.

Now, I have concluded that there is absolutely no problem with the motherboard or my material (including video cards). In a first time EVGA support and I had suspected that the motherboard may be bad because of all the pre-diagnostic steps I had taken during my test of 10 hours. I won't enumerate what I did because it would literally take 3 hours to type everything in it. Just believe me when I say I've tried many things including but not limited to the latest bios updates (flashed 4 times and reset to ensure accuracy), IRQ customized management, all OS X 2, multiple/latest chipset drivers installed, reinstalling video multiple/last drivers installed, memtest test, complete equipment disassembly and re - build (adding a device at a time) and MUCH more. The only thing I have not tried installing another OS other than Windows 7 64 - bit to see if I could reproduce the problem. It's a waste of time, but because that let's say I install Windows XP Pro and the 9400GT doesn't have this problem... Well, that's fine, but who cares on XP Pro when I used it for the last 9 years and when I have a version full of Windows 7 I want to use? I'm certainly not running XP Pro on Windows 7 just to use the PCI video card. Second, if I install XP Pro and it always gives me the same error of bridge pci to pci and then, I only lost more time than because if it s not to go to work or the other OS, then I m sure that hell will not leave XP Pro installed when I use Windows 7.

    Thank you

  • Minitour dc5100 - installation nvidia geforce 6200 PCI - problem

    Hello

I have an old HP Compaq DC5100 minitour, and I wanted to put in a graphics card instead of using the onboard gfx

as windows kept alert me that I was running on system resources, and video memory.

So after hunting around the net for a PCI card (PCI-e not that I do not have a slot on the motherboard for it)

which are very few and far between, but I managed to find a Nvidia Geforce 6200 256 MB PCI card: Nvidia Geforce 6200
That I jumped into one of the PCI free slots on the motherboard and has pulled up the PC... after a second fans
closed and the PC started her off 4 short beeps (with a red light flashing in time with the beeps located under)

the power button on the front of the pc), then stopped for a few seconds and then repeat the 4 short beeps.
and then continued to do this until I turned off the machine.

So I took then the video card back and put it in the second PCI slot, but the same thing happens again.

Now, I had to take the graphics card and just plugged my monitor on the port of gfx on board.

Does anyone know why this graphics card stop the pc to start?

Or is there something I need to do to get it working?

FOR INFO. I can't even get into the BIOS, so impossible to verify anything in there.

Also, here is a picture of my motherboard and the two PCI ports:

I had a quick glance for the beep codes but cannot determine what BIOS mine is in the list here:
    Beep codes HP

    The only information I could get from my pc has been;

    [Information BIOS]
    Provider string: Hewlett-Packard
    Version string: 786 2 v01.07
    Release date: 25/08/2005
Size of the ROM: 512 KB

    [Information on motherboard]
    Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
    Product range: 09E0h
    Version string:
    Serial number: CZC6071MT0

    Good news!

After taking all the USB devices on my machine and try again once I had no joy as it is the same with the 4 beeps and the PC shut down.

So I headed upwards in my attic and after opening 3 old PC I got lucky and found an another PSU ATX which had the same dimensions and was a high-end with maximum capacity of 640 watts, so I it inverted and put the graphics card back in and connected USB devices , and then press the power button...... ..  .  This time there was no beep and the computer =)

This is certainly the graphics card needed more energy than the 300 Watt who was originally in the machine.

Thanks again for your help to solve this problem.

    Kind regards

    Mark
