White "fringe" through monitor U2715H

Problem:
White stripes "fringes" are visible near the center of the screen on both sides (see photo). They are very important when displaying any sort of background white (publishers of text etc.) and the lighter shades of gray. And no, I don't mean grayscale of the bands which is a different problem. This Panel has uniform, white free artifact for the most part (90% of locations), and only three places across the screen are suffering of this artifact.

Things I assured, tried and failed:

-Setting brightness / contrast, even without decommissioning of the native resolution
-Connect on two different laptops instead of my regular work office
-Change the graphics card on my desktop
-To ensure a quality, a power supply stabilized (with a voltage regulator) upon first use
-Ensure that there is no magnetic nearby device, or anything that can cause disturbances

None of the above helped.

What worked:

Very sweet-A (single finger, ultra light pressure) on the areas get rid strips / bangs completely! But surely, this isn't a solution, by any means.

It is a family UltraSharp premium Panel, and quite frankly, I'm shocked. My previous purchases (2408WFP) never had this problem with some 8 years of intensive use.

Here are the codes from the back of the monitor (and it is not found by the search for products and I couldn't add it to my account).

Please advise on how to proceed.

(The artifact is very difficult to capture on camera for reasons I can't explain, but it is clearly visible to the eye and can be seen without effort). A full resolution image is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6zPNR9DHCOoOFRLRlpTOVV0c3c/view

Your IP address indicates you are in India. Yes, but is there a problem with that? As in, is there a community site in the field of the Dell India where I'm supposed to post because my IP is of the India? (where I live)
* This is the Forum USA. Even if validated, we could not in place here monitor Exchange.

Serial number and express code do not appear in the databases of the region Dell. What is more a concern for me than anyone at Dell. Today when I talked to Dell India support in this respect, that's what they said (I recorded the call and have proof), and I was stunned:
"Sorry, only the desktop and portable computers can be added to your list of products as part of your Dell account - monitors can be added using their tags service or express code number - they will be not even be found by the system using their service tags or express codes."
So in a sense it is true: I tried to add the monitor by codes, the system found nothing. Even when you tried. I'm not quite sure if that support Dell India says is true and these codes are practically useless - but nevertheless, it is painful for me. There may be some twisted fraud involved on the part of Dell, which I'm not aware of?
* Unknown. When buying directly from Dell, monitor service number and the order number of monitor are related to your Dell customer number. That's why I posted this in the FAQ monitor;
"Why you should buy a monitor directly from Dell.

According the pictures, I see no justification to Exchange (even if we could see the numbers).
Well, I can understand that the pictures illustrate the question too well, but it is very visible to the eye. I don't have the skills needed to operate a DSLR under the right settings for this capture in a better way. Yet the image in full size (from Google Drive) shows the strapping that is strong enough. Did you look at that?
* I did.

Anyway, I contacted the technical support of Dell India and they will inspect the Panel in person some time. Premium screens are supposed to be flawless and still more so out-of-the-box. Hoping that something works. I'm not necessarily inclined towards an Exchange as long as the problem could be solved.
* Dell does not 'fix' monitors, only exchange them. So I don't know what they think.

(HP 2000 Notebook PC / Windows 8.1, 64-bit) Still white screen, external monitor works fine. What components could be defective? This occurred about six months ago about a week after the expiry of the one year warranty. Nonfortuitous.

    Hello

You confirm this problem is intermittent, and now its working fine, it means that the question would be the display cable. The display cable is loose. Issue can be fixed by rebonding the display cable, if the problem persists then the display cable needs to be replaced.

This is the only reason why I asked you in the previous post if the problem was intermittent or display changed while moving the display cover.

This particular problem has nothing to do with the temperature.

  • How can I remove the white fringes around dark objects - Elements 10

Landscape photos in differential high contrast areas I get a white fringe. How can I REMOVE this?

    R_Kelly wrote:

This can happen with a photo that has been sharper.

I also found that the effect of the new "shake removal" is inclined to create similar artifacts.

Sharpening works around the edges to change the brightness of the darker and lighter side on the edge. Closer to the edge, the lighter side becomes even lighter, darker becomes darker. The limit on the Board now has a lot more visual contrast.

One way to thwart the "oversharpening" is to use a reverse action (blur).

The effect that can produce a similar action on the edges in the opposite direction, is the "Gaussian" filter blur. The same idea is also used with the method "high pass sharpening layer.

The problem with the "fuzzy" is that it removes the sharpening anywhere, and not only where the white objects are a problem.

The first idea is to use masks to limit the effect around the areas at issue.

The other idea is to use a "fuzzy" selective running only on the clear part of the edge.

To try this, select a test with details of file image and sharpen strongly to the visible white fringes.

    -duplicate your background.

-Apply the filter ' other > high pass with a radius of 1 to 3 and choose a like a soft light blending mode. (even more sharpening)

-reverse this layer: blur effect as with Gaussian blur.

-Stamp visible (create a new layer with the resulting effect)

-remove or hide the high pass layer

-set the new layer to "compete."

The result is that you always keep the original on the dark side of the edges, while sharpening effect by masking the effect on the lighter side.

Of course, using masks to apply the effect on the areas with problems is also to be considered.

  • White fringes around my buttons

Hi, I use the demo version of Captivate 5 for Mac. I have 8 GB RAM, OS 10.6.7 and fairly new Macbook. I try to use the series of "next_black" of three buttons (up, down, more). I use this so that I can to pause the presentation after each slide and allow the user click here to continue.

In any case, I have a green background behind the button, and it showed a white fringe around the edges. I tried to check 'Make Transparent button' in the properties > general tab, but that has no effect. Also, I've edited the buttons in Photoshop and changed the background around buttons transparent for the green of my slides. Even after you save them in the gallery and selecting them under properties > General > Browse, I STILL get the white fringes. I tried Captivate of quitting smoking and reboot, but get the same thing.

It seems that Captivate always uses the original with the transparent background image file. It's strange and seems to be a bug to me. I'm following the conventions of naming for the buttons, by the way.

Here is a screenshot of the published presentation. When you work in Captivate, only the published version, there is no apparent fringe.
    screen_fringe.png

I like the program, but it looks good buggy in general. He did not offer the project that I am working on a point "recent" in the splash screen, until I got it opened about 10 times in a row! And I usually click on the name of the project two or three times before it opens. Yet, I was able to produce a beautiful project, if I can just understand the case key.

Another thing - the forum search function does not work. No results for "button" or "buttons" in "search this forum".

    Thank you all!

Check your file - publication settings.  Make sure that you size Swf and the quality are set to high.  He must get rid of the White halo.

  • Dell monitor U2715H Power saving mode by turning on PC

Hi, I had a constant, frustrating problem with my Dell U2715H monitor. I connect it to my PC using CDM, and absolutely 100% whenever I turn on my pc, it goes into power saving mode. The only way to get my computer is to force power off of my PC now the power button and then turning it back on. This recovers no mode 'sleep', but an engine out of State. I tried to turn on/off the screen first, wait a minute then turn the PC. I tried to use the usb mouse and keyboard only to the back of the computer and not on the monitor ports. I tried all of the solutions presented to me in the troubleshooting of energy saving guide, but I am completely off options and frustrated. I don't want to force shutdown my PC every day just to get the monitor to work.

Please help with the troubleshooting methods that I could take to solve this problem.

I really love this monitor otherwise and won't have to return it.

WOW! I just talked to a dell technician who accompanied me through the question. Apparently, the problem is known and has been placed on the record. The workaround is desperately single.

To resolve this problem, click the first button on your screen, then press the second button to access the "input select" menu of the monitor. Then, place the cursor on the entry that you use (for me it was the CDM) and hold the button of checkmark for 10 seconds. A dialog appears asking you to turn on/off 1.2 DP. Once you enable it, the Monitor refreshes and the issue is history.

I guess that the monitor has some secrets, I don't know... Hope this helps someone out there with this problem.

  • EPA 10 - screen white in the monitor during the video game - but all is well in the CS6 APPro

    Hello

I have an Asus G75V, Windows 7 and Adobe Premiere Elements 10, as well as a subscription to Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 (with booster). All windows updates are up-to-date, also optionally (Bing, which I did not need to backup). I have the latest version of QuickTime (QT 7). Until today everything was fine, but now... Open a project in AP elements (so when I create a new) and get this message:

We detected incompatible display driver. To get a better reading performance and faster, update your display driver. View the details of the driver: NVIDIA Corporation GEForce GTX 670 M/PCIe/SSE2 3.0.0

By the way, I have the latest update of Nvidia installed, from their webpage (version 306.97). NVIDIA Web page after scanning my system says: GeForce GTX 670 M 306.97 your PC is currently the last driver for your GPU. No update driver is necessary at this time.

Indeed, when I open the AP elements, in the monitor Panel, I see the image corresponding to the position of the cursor on the timeline, but when I press PLAY the image on the screen become white, I hear the sound of the film, but there is no picture color, just white. When I STOP the picture from the movie appears. The video is 1920 x 1080, 25 fps from a DSLR, Lagarith codec camera. The computer used to manage the size of the video without any problem.

When I open another project in Adobe Premiere Pro or Encore CS6, CS6 alright, I see the picture and hear the sound.

What I try to fix is the following: I reinstalled Adobe Premiere Elements; uninstalled the Nvidia driver; reinstalled the driver Nvidia, the latest version and also tried to revert to the previous version (306.23). Nothing helps.

    I found this: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/769303 but this isn't for EPA 9.0, 10.0 - I do not have the BadDriver.txt file

This who could I do, please help?

    Thanks for the help,

    Michal

Try what ishown in the link, then replace by 10.0 9.0: this folder name is the version number of the

    First Elements.

To view the program data folder, you need to see the files hidden when using

Windows Explorer. Then, you will be able to delete the file baddrivers.txt.

    Good luck.

  • Latitude E7450 processor and controller, E - 2, unstable configuration port of the U2715H - two monitors-

I have two monitors U2715H connected via a CDM-> DP cable each to a docking station E-Port Plus (in fact an Advanced Port Replicator EURO2) in which sits a laptop Latitude E7450 processor and controller. All items are brand new. E7450 processor and controller is equipped with 16 GB of RAM and two graphics cards: Intel HD 5500 Graphics and NVIDIA GeForce 840 M; selection is automatic, which usually means that the 5500 is running. It runs Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 (64-bit). The docking station has apparently DP 1.2 a capacity (for chaining) but DP 1.2 is disabled in both monitors.

I have correctly configured the system to have Windows desktop space both monitors at 2560 x 1440 resolution, even with screen internal latitude as a third request for an extension to its full resolution (1920 x 1080). The main screen can be set to one of the two (or three) and I can successfully move the sequence of monitors around (left, middle, right).

There is therefore no doubt about the ability of the system to support the planned configuration. However, when I dock the Latitude (most with the lid closed) and start, most of the time he is unable to restore the configuration of the two external monitors. Some of the symptoms are: one or two monitors go black, indicating the cable connected but no signal from the docking station. If there is a picture on one of the monitors at startup, it may or may not contain the login screen. (I can still log in because I know which keystrokes to send.) If the login screen is visible, it is usually in low resolution. If I have several active screens, but one is black, I can move the mouse pointer (or an entire window) on the screen black (in the middle or on the side), but it is not visible here.

Both monitors come right out of the box and the only change I made is to move from the DP to the mDP as input channel. I reinstalled the cables and exchanged the cables between the two DPs on the docking station. I turned the market monitors. I ran the self-test the requirements on both monitors. The connection of the laptop on the docking station is a little wobbly, but I use the spacer provided for the E7450 processor and controller and making sure the connection is correct and stable. I've updated all the drivers and BIOS of processors E7450 and controller. I recently saw a reference to a BIOS for the docking station; I didn't know it existed, but I'm not.

The installation instructions provided with the monitors were a note on consulting the CD provided for the use of the screen to maximum resolution. E7450 processor and controller is not an optical drive, but I read all of the documentation for the monitor to Support technical without finding what whatsoever to shed light on the situation (in addition to ensure that the graphics card and drivers are up to the task).

Once I connected, I can manage to make it all in order by randomly (?) lower the resolution of the screen, change the position of the main screen (left-center-right), deselection reselection CDM as entry way and forcing other changes. Once the two or all three screens in operation, I can put them all to maximum resolution and beginning of work. However, it is rather annoying and I would like to have a stable configuration.

The configuration seems to survive power cycling of the laptop / station but not if I also disconnect the laptop. I should mention that when I detach the E7450 processor and controller, I can use it in other configurations, with or without other external monitors through other ports, before turning it off and later re - anchor as described. However, for the first month I had two old non-moniteurs Dell of any resolution (on DVI and VGA ports) connected to the docking station and the configuration is stable, and for years I used for my older Latitude with a docking station that is older, remembering his device between different hardware configurations.

Please, someone - and Dell support staff in particular?

  • How can I repair this under warranty monitor? 210-ADSO U2715H

Hello. I'll buy this monitor - U2715H 210-ADSO. However, I have some questions on how I can repair it under warranty. In my case, I'll buy the monitor in a webshop in Ukraine. The father said that the warranty period is 36 months. But, how to fix under warranty? I have to come to the centre for Dell and just show them the monitor? Or, what I have to show them a guaranteed certidicate/warranty card? Maybe, I can just show them the store receipt?
I have to ask the shop to give me some security or is already in the box?
Overall, I want to know how I'll be able to repair the monitor if it stops working properly. Please, help me! I have been saving for a year and don't want to lose my money in vain.

    Sergei of Ukraine.

Moreover, how will I know if this is a Dell salesperson? They have no info on it on their site.
    * If it is a certified vendor, he would show on their site.

So, in this case the guarantee will start from the date that the store bought the monitor, right? (i.e. If they bought it a year ago, my warranty will be shortened this year?).
    * No when they bought it, since the date code on the label of the monitor.

And, OK, what happens if I buy it from your site? Could you tell me how I can do this in the Ukraine?
Here is the Dell Ukraine monitor page. You just keep checking it to see if the U2715H is displayed.

Do you think that there are official partners who can sell online?

    Hello

I just installed T24D391 2 monitors to my laptop to A.s.u.s using the Dynadock U3.0. 1 monitor is connected using HDMI (main monitor), the other is connected with VGA (extended scrreen).

Audio output however comes only through monitor 1 (main, connected monitor via HDMI). The second monitor has no sound output whatsoever.

Even when I change the screen 1 to extended and 2 on the screen, only audio screen 1 (now the extended) of the screen.

-> How is it possible to have the sound on both screens at the same time?

    Thank you!

HDMI interface provides video and audio signals.
VGA interface provides a video signal only.

I guess that's the reason for the lack of sound
