White screen XT 1039, reset, google services

Hello everyone.

I'm here because of my XT 1039 (G 4 G LTE 1st gen) who becomes a real pain.

Tuesday no reason, my stop phone itself and restarted automatically on a black screen.

I got the logo of animation but then black screen boot. I tried several thing I've seen on the forums (it seems to be a problem of backlight) but without success. Now I knew that there was a restart v_v safe mode'...

So I ended in reseting my phone to factory settings using the recovery mode.

The phone works now again.

But now that my battery drains like never before. and I don't know why. The phone is, in my view, in the same configuration as before the factory reset.

I noticed that now the "google services" "app" is using a lot of my battery. In 4 hours, he uses 13% of my battery. And before the reset, it never happened.

Ialso have an app 'gsm' also using 12%, but I don't know what it is. I do not use my phone during the day, and I can't understand this :/

I missed something in my configuration?

Any help will be really appreciated, because I still don't know everything about android ^^'. and I don't want to do something bad.

If you do a reset and auto restore it sometimes causes problems.

I would first try to restart the phone. See if that helps.

If not, perhaps another reset, but instead of letting google restore anything. That jump. Skip setting up the google account too. Let the phone reset it completely and use it without additional software or play the interference of store. After you know that the phone is working correctly, connect to the game shop and manually install and configure apps.

  • Replacement Palm TX has problems white screen even after hard reset

I hope someone can help me find a solution.

I've been a happy user of Palm OS since the early days of Palm III.  After a Palm III and V, had a Sony Clié which lasted a long time, but finally fact poop, went to a Z22 and broken screen, then almost but not quite a year ago (in warranty, so-called), bought a Palm TX.  Worked great for a while but ends with a unit I could not turn on or off because the switch was dead.  Worked around to keep the sync cord and power on by pressing the button and then cancelling.  Finally he sent for repair under warranty.  Return a unit back to me.

It worked well for almost a month, then it started (with no new software or usage patterns) to have white screen problems.  To resolve this problem, I tried a lot of things.  Soft reset, reset hard, leaving completely take its battery for weeks at a time.  Nothing works; It continues to go on me.  In addition, the sound is strange and garish when it beeps (for example accept zone after reset).  I bought the TX to the United States when I was home for a visit last July, but am currently living in the Netherlands.

I contacted Palm repair center in the United Kingdom which has replaced my original unit; They said would pass on the word of my troubles of Palm and Palm should contact me, otherwise for them by e-mail.  They do not have.  I don't find an e-mail address to explain all this to anyone with any power to help me.  I tried to use the Palm website to solve this problem, but neither the original serial number or the serial number of the replacement unit I have now shows as eligible for warranty repair.  I tried calling the support number us Palm (http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/47005_en.html#howservice), but I get "call is temporarily unavailable."  When I click 'here' when asked 'If you want to query the status of the warranty of your handheld, or prefer to repair through our Technical Support Department, click here' (https://www.euroservice.palm.com/repair_entry/NLD/EE) I find myself on a page that simply says: "Please enter the Url of the Source."  I hesitate to provide information of credit card for a problem, if it can not be covered by the warranty (which I think it should be, since I'm still in the initial period of 12 months), can I give up.

I am very frustrated trying to solve this problem.  I am disappointed with the support decreases for a PDA (which is not a phone) with Palm OS.  Since I am living (though not comfortably or well) without my calendar, address book, alarm, player, dbs, cookbook, checklist, etc., I am seriously considering to leave Palm OS.  My preference is to resolve this problem, and my idea nearly a year ago was to climb the Palm OS until it was completely gone (embedded in phones, anyway), but my problems have discouraged me to the point that I wonder if it is my end.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

Hello..  Not at all.   I suggest that because it was repaired in the United Kingdom, which indicates that it is a device of UK. Otherwise they would not be able to fix it it were an American feature.  Warrenties are the same, Yes, but on the marginal seas cannot be fixed across the country, they were designed for.  If it is a U.S. unit that UK should have refused to repair and referred you to US support.  Because it didn't happen I guess that's a device and if so you need to communicate with them. From the link that I sent you, on the left thumb to contact us, there are ways to communicate with them another email then. If it fails try another phone and I'm sure you can get this resolved.  If it is infact a device US contact our support pda to US @ 866-935-7256

  • Reset ends in white screen, no job options

I have a MacBook pro 15 inch, start 2011 with always OSX Lion .on that it installed.

Never did really of the software updates, since a few days ago. It was clearly a mistake. An orange, I got first screen, then white and blue. And after another implementation, it is even more possible to connect.

I tried all the options people suggest online mode (shift) course, mode(cmd+r), vram(cmd+opt+p+r), only mode(cmd-s) and internet recovery mode recovery. (cmd + opt + r).  I continue to ending on a white screen just after the Apple logo.

    -Safe mode = never got in front of a white screen;

    -recovery mode = never got in front of a white screen;

    VRAM-= think it worked because the sound of the chimes was stronger after;

-Single mode = Can get all the time; but sometimes blue with white letters, then the next restart custom works for sure.

-Recovery Internet = Ethernet cable and the world appears but only managed to reach the second screen once.

opt + D (material check says that there is no problem with my hardware)

I managed to reach the login screen a few times with lots of fsck - fy and restarts... But quickly dropped again after the login. At each time it failed, the Apple logo was a blue tint and I managed to reach the login, the logo was gray.

Yesterday, I managed to reinstall OS x Lion with restoration of the Internet, the first time I got to the screen with the options.

I worked very well with a bit of Internet and Excel. Then I wanted to reach the Java Control Panel in system preferences to check if the problem was Java. It crashed.

Managed to connect one more time and I tried to update Java in the browser instead of system preferences. It crashed. HARD.

After restarting, no option no longer works with the exception of the screen in single mode; but the screen is blue with white letters, so I don't know if I'm able to reach the login screen more.

I already tried many things and I'm afraid, I only make worse it.

I think the problem is the Java framework or the video graphics drivers. Rather the software associated with that material, but I don't know more.

    Someone knows what to do?

make an appointment at the genius Bar to be sure that you have these questions:

Your Mac MUST meet all THE requirements of the program to cover. It must be in the correct date range and must be able to run the diagnosis of VST and fail to be covered by the program.

Mac that don't meet ALL the requirements (such as Macs who cannot run anything) is generally considered a random failure.

  • Problem with the iPhone OS. Have to restore it several times and it now has white screen flashing with Apple logo

Got my iPhone SE a little over a month since the Thailand of the Apple Store.

First he couldn't restore entirely made from a backup so I had to delete all data and content then restored again. Then try to restore from a backup, still have problems (apps froze, failed to synchronize all of the apps, then tried to shutdown phone and glued on white background with the Apple logo).

Try to third, I put my phone in recovery mode and restore as a new iPhone. All original content is now gone. Should it start again.

Then small annoying problems occurred. For example, I could not find applications in the App Store, could not download new free applications, could not buy music on the iTunes Store app. It seems that Internet was frozen, when in fact it works always fine when try browsing on Safari. Facebook froze and could not push Home button to close App game graphics making static sound glitches but always disappear when him restart the application. Can't post photos on a social media application because my whole library of photos seems to be empty, when in fact he was always there. When I was taking pictures, the preview images were extremely blurry, and when checked in Photos app there is no trace of this photo that I took. I tried to close all the applications and open it again but the problem still persists. So I close the phone and restart it just to find that it stuck on the white screen with the Apple logo once more. Then, I took the phone to the Apple service provider. They restore the phone as a new iPhone for me and I had to start over once again. Only 4 days after this, my iPhone application suddenly found me a new unlock access code within 60 minutes without reason. I have to reset hard to solve the problem. And after that, the same day, my iPhone starts to blink on and outside and sometimes the white screen with the Apple logo appears.

Whenever I said my problem of staff Support from Apple or the Apple service provider, they told me that it was a software problem. How can I when I do all these problems again and again from the beginning until now? Can anyone suggest me the right way to solve this problem? What problem do you think it's from? I can't take this anymore. I need a good show, not working iPhone undesirable. I can't keep it restore/reset/reboot over and over again like this. Please, help me.

  • Start the custom of MacBook in any mode or recovery (white screen)

MacBook Pro late 2011 with El Capitan

My macbook does not start in any mode. There is just the usual startup chime and after the apple logo bar progresses about 1/8, a white screen appears and stays like that. I tried leaving on the white screen until the death of the laptop. Load again and same result.

I tried to boot mode safe, progress bar went a bit far, but same result.

I tried to boot into Recovery Mode, same result.

I tried recovery of the internet, it downloads completely, apple logo appears, progress bar screen implemented site, black, then back to the white screen.

I tried the single user mode since I can't boot into recovery mode and using the AF - of fsck command, until he says seems to be ok. then by restarting. Did not help.

Tried to reset the NVRAM, no change.

From time to time when it starts. I see that kernal_task uses high amounts of cpu and memory. I tried to use time machine, but for some reason any he usually read my external hard drive when I try to use disk utility.  So I just use it until the entire screen turns blue and restarts

Looks like a hardware failure and could be linked to a known problem that Apple has started offering free repairs.  Take a look at https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/

I make a Genius Bar appointment or take it to a service provider.

  • MacBook Pro A1278 starts with black or white screen

Please help, my 13 "Macbook Pro, circa 2011 displays a white screen briefly and make sound boots, then goes to a white screen.  I tried to reset the PRAM a couple of times, no luck, reset SMC strikes did not help.

Can anyone offer additional troubleshooting steps?

    Thank you.

Please take each of these steps that you have not already tried it. Some of them are not applicable to your model or your situation. Stop when the problem is resolved.

To restart a computer is not responding, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the unit turns off, then release, wait a few seconds and press again briefly.

    Step 1

The first step to respond to a startup failure is to secure data. If you want to keep the contents of the boot drive and you have not already at least a current backup, you should try to back up now, before we do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care the data changed since the last backup, you can skip this step.

There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to boot. You need an external hard drive to store backup data.

    a. starting the partition recovery or an hour Local Machine backup volume (button option key at startup). When the OS X Utilities appears, launch disk utility and follow the instructions in this support articleto the title of the "Instructions for the backup on an external hard drive via disk utility". The article refers to the start of a DVD, but the recovery mode procedure is the same. You don't need a DVD if you use OS X 10.7 or higher.

    (b) If step 1 fails due to disk errors, and no other Mac is available, then you may be able to save some of your files by copying them in the Finder. If you already have an external hard drive with OS X installed, the start of it. Otherwise, if you have access to the Internet, follow the instructions on this page to prepare the external hard drive and install OS X on it. You will use the installation program of recovery, rather than download it from the App Store.

    c. If you have access to a Mac, and it work and have both the non-working Mac FireWire ports or stroke, start the Mac non-working in target disk mode. Work Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique will not work with USB, Ethernet, Wi - Fi or Bluetooth.

    d. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is replaceable by the user, remove it and climb into a docking station that is pregnant or an external drive. Use another Mac to copy the data.

    Step 2

If you have booted from an external drive, make sure that the internal boot volume is selected in the pane of the system preferences Startup disk.

Start in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. If you do not see the words "Safe Boot" in the start screen, you did not start in safe mode. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, and some things don't work at all, including the networks without wire on some Macs.

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You must know the password for the connection to connect. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

If the startup progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or the system stops automatically when the progress bar appears, the boot volume is corrupted and the player is probably defective. In this case, go to step 9. If you have another problem with the player, replace it immediately.

If you can start and log in in safe mode, empty the trash and then open the window of info on the boot volume ("Macintosh HD", unless you have given it a different name.) Make sure you have at least 9 GB of space available, as shown in the window. If you do not, copy as many files as necessary on another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion is not complete until you empty the trash again. This, until the space is more than 9 GB. Then restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

If the boot process hangs again, the problem is probably caused by third-party software you have installed. Ask for additional instructions.

    Step 3

If the startup process stops at a gray screen together with a mobile cursor, then the logon dialog box may be active but not visible because of a bug. You may be able to connect by using the arrow keys or the cursor to select the password field and type your password as usual.

    Step 4

Case of failure of step 3, the boot volume can be complete. If you saw previously implemented guard space drive is low, it is certainly the case. You might be able to start in safe mode , even if you cannot boot normally. Otherwise, boot from an external hard drive, or well technology for step 1b, 1 c or 1 d allows to mount the internal drive and delete some files. According to the documentation from Apple, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the boot (as shown in the Infolog) for normal operation volume.

    Step 5

If a Mac desktop (without the built-in keyboard) crashes on a gray screen together with a mobile cursor, the keyboard may not be recognized. Hold down the button on the side of a wireless Apple keyboard to make it discoverable. If need be, replace or recharge the batteries. If you use a USB keyboard connected to a hub, connect it to a built-in port.

    Step 6

Sometimes, a startup failure can be solved by resetting the NVRAM.

    Step 7

If there is an integrated optical drive, a disk may be stuck in there. Follow these instructions to remove it.

    Step 8

Press and hold the power button until the unit turns off. Disconnect all devices wired except those needed to start and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use another keyboard and/or mouse, if these devices are wired. If you can start now, one of the devices that you disconnected, or a combination of both, the origin of the problem. Discover that it is a process of elimination.

    Step 9

Launch the utility disk in recovery mode (see step 1). Select the boot volume, and then run the repair disk. If problems are found, repeat until that clear. If disk utility reports that the volume is not repairable, the drive is defective and must be replaced. You can choose to tolerate such malfunction in the reader's life. In this case, delete the volume and restore it from a backup. If the same thing happens again, replace the drive immediately.

It is one of the rare situations where you must also run repair permissions, ignoring the erroneous warnings, that it can produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then restart as usual.

    Step 10

If the boot device is an aftermarket SSD, it may have an update and/or a forced "garbage collection". Instructions how to do this with a Crucial SSD of brand have been posted here. Some of these instructions may apply to other brands of SSDS, but you should check with the technical support of the provider.

    Step 11

Reinstall the OS. If the Mac has upgraded an earlier version of Mac OS X, you need the Apple ID and password used to upgrade.

    Step 12

Do as in step 11, but this time clear the disk utility boot volume before installing. The system should restart automatically in the installation wizard. Follow the prompts to transfer data from one Time Machine or another backup.

    Step 13

This step applies only to models that have a battery logic-board ("PRAM"): all of the Mac Pro, MacBook with a removable main battery and a few others (models not updated). A flat battery logic-board may cause a boot failure. In general the failure will be preceded by the loss of the system and boot disk clock settings. Refer to the user manual for replacement instructions. You may need to take the machine to a provider of services to have to replace the battery.

    Step 14

If you get this far, you probably deal a hardware failure. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.

    • ·         You made changes to your computer recently?
    • ·         You get the error message? If Yes, what is the exact error message?

    Method 1:

You can try to perform a clean boot to verify the wherther to third party services are causing this issue. See the link below to perform a clean boot.

Note: After completing the clean boot make sure you follow step 7: reset the computer to start as usual

    Method 2:

Maybe it's that your computer is affected by virus and malware. I suggest you run an online anti-virus scan and a scan for Malware. See the link below.

I would also say to uninstall the drivers of the graphics card and then check if it works fine or not

    Hello LA_Hay,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?

A problem with the card installed on your system, might be a major cause of the problem. So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Step 1: Try to start your system in a State of services necessary to the operation and a minimum set of drivers enabled, called Safe Mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

Step 2: If you do not have the white screen in safe mode, try to clean the system startup:

Note: See "How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to reset the computer to start as usual after a repair.

If the problem persists, try Method 2.

    Method 2:

    Update your graphics card.

    1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click System and Security, and then, under System, click the Managerof peripheral . If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. In the list of hardware categories, find the display adapters and select the device driver you want to update, and then double-click the device name.
    3. Click the driver tab, click Update driver, and then follow the instructions. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.
