White tabs of Firefox 31.0, then no fields to twitter and Google maps!

I'm on Firefox beta update, 30 and 31 now view files for a millisecond and then white - so far making google maps and twitter unusable (both great on Safari and Chrome). Firefox itsself blanks to tabs if I hit an arrow key < or > in the toolbar.

Rendering CSS problem? JAva? the fact that it works on the rivals is confusing.

OK it turns out be the hardware acceleration was causing this issue. I wish I had tried the first and save d the hassle of the modules deactivation and reactivation by an etc...

No update is available for the graphics but hardware acceleration not really don't need of internet access in any case.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
    • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

I downloaded Firefox 5, invited by Filehippo. Among other things, my anti-virus sw were not compatible, the Google toolbar disappeared and could not be put back because I was using an old browser! I did a system restore with the result that Firefox did not work at all. I went back to version 4, only because a guardian program requires firefox, otherwise I'd returned to Windows Explorer. It cost me a lot of valuable time.
I tried to make this complaint under the feedback, and the button send didn't work.

Google must update the program toolbar for Firefox 5.0.

  • Firefox appears correctly Google maps

I use Firefox 18.0.1 which I think is the most recent version, on a PC. When Google maps comes up, the bar zoom and all the other buttons and controls on the map itself are much, much too small. Small enough to be almost unusable, even if they are functional. The map itself seems to be more of the screen than before.

Firefox works fine on Mapquest (for example). The Internet browser explore (Microsoft) works fine on Google maps. It's just the particular combination of Firefox and Google maps which has a problem. Any suggestions?

  • How to close last tab SuperStart actually open rather then close Firefox?

Is there a way to make Firefox (or SuperStart) will close NO Firefox when the last tab is closed? I would have preferred so he can act as the opera it would make the page tabs SuperStart appear instead. In this way, I choose to close Firefox by actually closing Firefox (for example clcking the Red "x" in the corner of Firefox, etc.).

Just because I don't want the last open tab does NOT mean I want to close my browser.

As a result of this behavior today, when I reopen it Firefox I find myself with that last tab is showing once again, which of course, I don't want either one.

Could you try this and see if it gives the effect that you want? When you close the last tab in the window, Firefox displays the "new tab" page.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the tabs and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab to change its value from true to false.

Press Ctrl + n to open a new tab, press Ctrl + w to close the useful tab?

  • Recover tabs after Firefox reload

Hello! My first post here and I found a good solution for my case.

    Here is what happened:

After force Firefox to quit smoking and then put it on again all tabs open in a previous session has become inactive and loading new/blank Tabs without any address in their.

I used to reload Firefox previously and she was very good with showing all my tabs of the session before recharging. But now they are all simply empty.

Is there a way to make these blank tabs to work like before? I can somehow restore them?
Please help, I have so many important information in these tabs. Thank you!

Do not leave Firefox! If you already quit Firefox, does not start it again! Please save your session history files in a safe place for potential recovery/recovery operations.

    If Firefox works now:

You can open the settings file (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the button 'show in Finder '.

If Firefox is NOT running now:

    Our support article says:

    (1) click the Finder icon in the dock. On the menu bar, click the menu go to, hold down option or alt key and select library. A window opens that contains your library folder.

    (2) open the "Application Support" folder, and then open the folder "Firefox", then the folder "Profiles".

There you will see a folder named semi-randomly - there is only one click in it - or more than one. If there is more than one folder, find the one with the updated content.

Next steps if Firefox running or not:

In the Finder window, scroll down and double-click on folder sessionstore-backups . Save all the files here to a safe place, such as your Documents folder (if Mac has a default Documents folder). If not too much time has passed, we may be able to use to recover your lost tabs.

The types of files that you can find among your sessionstore-backup files are:

    • Recovery.js: the windows and tabs in your Firefox session currently live (or, if Firefox is closed, your last session)
    • Recovery.bak: a backup copy of recovery.js
    • Previous.js: the windows and tabs in your last session in Firefox
    • Upgrade.js -build_id: windows and tabs in Firefox that was alive at the time of your last update session

Can take you a look at what you have and the date / time of the different files to see if you think that one of them would be the missing tabs?

  • Even with "ask to save tabs" unchecked, Firefox keeps asking to save tabs

    Firefox for Linux 32.0.

I then check "do not ask next time", and when I restart the browser, the "warn me when closing multiple tabs" is always disabled, but still asking to save the tabs in Firefox.

Also, in my remarks: the browser.tabs.warnOnClose config displays "false".
However, Firefox does not seem to respect that.

So in fact, Firefox remembers my settings, but doing the opposite?

How can I get Firefox to respect the settings and disable this close tab warning message?

    There are also these prefs:

    • browser.tabs.warnOnCloseOtherTabs
    • browser.showQuitWarning
    • browser.warnOnQuit

  • 29 - tabs in Firefox does not work, no menu bar or the button

I turned on the computer to find firefox has automatically updated. I usually have to delay it as long as possible, because I am still having problems.
This time, the first thing I noticed is that my tabs do not work. My 'new tab' button has disappeared, and even when I right click and press 'Open in a new tab', nothing happens.
Then I thought that I would look for something bad in the menu bar - only he's not here. Is selected when I right-click. There is no orange button. There are no new button on the right of the search bar. Pressing the alt key is not bring it. He simply disappeared. Given all the solutions, I googled involve clicking on something in the menu bar, it's a big problem. I tried to restart.

Do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program before (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

Remove the Firefox program before installation newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

If you keep problems also create a new profile.

  • two clicks to close the tab in Firefox 28.0

just upgraded to Firefox 28.0. now, it takes two clicks, and rather than one alone, to close a tab.

It is not new, it's a bug.

If you discover that a change in Firefox 28 made it incompatible with one of your extensions, the developer is perhaps not aware of this. Or he or she may already have posted an update. You can try to update the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Click the "gear" above the list, and then select find updates.

You can also visit the page of the extension on the Add-ons site and scroll down to the bottom and click on the Versions page to see if there is an available approval but waiting for update.
