  The European driver Toshiba page provides the Win XP drivers for the Qosmio E10 PQE10E series.

  Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the Dynabook Qosmio E10-1KCDE series seems to be a Japanese model.

  So I'm not sure if XP drivers from the European page will run on this laptop model. However, you can try to install a single driver. Maybe you are a lucky man and pilots will be compatible.

  I have the Satellite A200 and I updated added package only. Other stuff should not be updated.

  With the new flash version maps run a lot faster and you can use them much better than before. If you want to download the same version, remove preinstalled system and at least to install the latest version.

  Original title: CD/DVD drives do not work after upgrade from XP to Vista

  I upgraded my dell E521 to Vista dimension, but now finds that none of the CD/DVD drives work.  I also tried two external drives, same thing.  I downloaded the new drivers for the internal disks and when I tried to install the windows said they already had the best drivers.  Both drives are TSST - I get device status "windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The unit may be damaged or missing. "I want to upgrade to 7, but can not run the dvd, and apparently MS has no download available if you purchase cd!  Am tearing my hair!

  In general, the error can be caused by a missing required device driver, a required binary file is damaged, if there is a problem with the process I/O file, or if a pilot that makes reference to an entry point in another binary file which can not load

  You can try to uninstall and reinstall the driver for the device to solve this problem.

  Step 1: Uninstall the CD/DVD driver. Follow this step to do the same thing:

  a. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click System and Maintenance and then click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  b. expand CD-ROM/DVD-Rom drives-> right click on the device, and then click Properties.

  c. on the device properties dialog box, click the driver tab, and then click on uninstall.

  d. restart your computer.

  Step 2: Reinstall the CD/DVD driver by visiting the manufacturer's Web site.

  A few months ago, I purchased a Qosmio X 770-107. We found a "Authentiek Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit (voorgeïnstalleerd, Toshiba-HDD herstel)" and "WinDVD® BD for Toshiba" to play Blue-ray disks. In order to use "Windows 7 64 bit Pro full" I bought a second drive (SSD) so I could install Windows 7 Pro version and downloaded all the drivers from the Web from Toshiba website. So far everything has worked perfectly.

  But... The software + key to install to install the WinDVD® BD for Toshiba, which was automatically installed during the first installation (recovery discs), is missing and I can't watch Blu-ray discs on my second drive. Now I have to change discs every time I want to watch "a film about Blue-ray disc!
  Anyone know where I can find the missing software distribution + installation key for "WinDVD® BD for Toshiba?

  As you can see the original Toshiba recovery image contains additional software as WinDVD BD drive.
  This software is for use with the recovery image only and can not be used if you are using clean install of the OS. Player preinstalled (unlimited version) is somehow gift on visitors to Toshiba laptop that allows the use of the entire laptop.

  If you use own OS, you must also use additional software.
  Many people here think with my money I paid for it and all the pre-installed software belongs to me. It is not the case.

  Install the image original recovery on the new HARD drive and everything will be OK. Before you Exchange disk create recovery DVDs using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

  I am a new owner of the Qosmio X 770 laptop. I say power happy owner or owner happy or satisfied, unfortunately not. I'm frustrated not being able to update my driver video nvidia because of some crazy lazy and incompetent. Well I ask you Toshiba, why did you put "non-generic' nvidia hardvare so that we cannot get releses most recent drivers nvidia on their site, or why do not you find and pay someone to keep these updates to DATE?

  As you know that Toshiba still do not update their / our drivers for nvidia GTX 560M 3 months. And if you look at the old models of their specifications (support, download area) you can see their date of drivers in 2007, 2008...

  Well guys you know what that means? This means that this will be our first and the last driver support at Toshiba for our nvidia cards... Hey really good? I'm lucky that I have activated any warranty... I think I just might use for full refund if that does not solve to our advantage.

  I hate to say it but Japanese products used to be outstanding and most of them are probably, but support and assistance customer is simply too low at my level and I can see many others also.

  To conclude, I will say that I really REGRET about other options I had, I bought this Toshiba laptop.
  I'll wait for a month when I bought it that will pass in a few days and if this does not resolve I'm going for a full refund.

  Have you tried the display driver has published on the pages of nVidia?
  If you were not able to install thin to run the exe file, then I ve a little tip for you:
  You can update the driver through Device Manager.

  Go to the Device Manager, choose the graphics card, then press Update Driver button.
  Then choose the Advaced installation process that helps driver you to point to the downloaded driver package and force the Win OS select this.
