Why accept Photos PhotoStream updated iOS devices?

It seems once 'Photos' came on the scene, so it's more seamless integration between iOS and OSX versions.  It is a step backwards.  It is a pain to have to find a cable, and then plug it into the (very expensive) dongle on my Macbook 2015, to get photos to date.  Is there a current difficulty yet?

I just had to go to the preferences, turn off the stream of Photos, then again in market.  Crude, but effective.

Comment: If I wanted to do this kind of thing for current operations, I'd go back to a PC rather than buy a new Macbook.   :-/

I hope that someone at Apple reads these.

  • Photos shared on iOS devices use data?

I have created a number of shared albums in the Photos on my Mac and iOS devices.

When other people visit then shared albums, what data are used to access?

I invited a person to see a shared album which had mobile data off on their iOS device and no wifi. However, they were able to access a shared album which surprised me because I assume they would have need of mobile data or wifi.

  • Why iTunes opens after an iOS device is disconnected?

I recently deselected the option to open iTunes when my iOS devices connect to my MacBook and indeed, iTunes doesn't open when either becomes connected. That option seems missing from the iTunes latest version update, but I digress.

The problem I'm facing is happening when I unplug the MacBook is iOS device: iTunes opens immediately after the unit disconnects independently to know if the device was manually ejected via iTunes before you leave.

A few details about my products:

    MacBook (13-inch, aluminum, late 2008) | 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo | 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 | NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M 256 MB | 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA HDD

    iTunes 12.4.0.119

    iPhone 6 more, 128 GB

iPad 16 GB Wi - Fi + cell Air

The answer to my question was, "iScrobbler cause iTunes to reopen once your iOS device disconnects". All I had to do was leave iScrobbler to my problem to solve.

  • Deleting photos from your iOS device

OK, so I love having the convienent to take a picture and make them appear on all my devices. However, in general I like to keep all my photos on my MBP and not my iOS (iPhone, iPad) devices. Is there a way to remove photos from my iPhone and does not affect the photos on MBP app without turning off the iCloud library?

Is there a way to remove photos from my iPhone and does not affect the photos on MBP app without turning off the iCloud library?

No, the purpose of iCloud photo library is to have exactly the same pictures on all your devices.

You can turn on 'Optimize storage' on your devices, so the photos they need less storage.

Or move the photos on your Mac to a second photo library, which does not synchronize with iCloud.  Single library can be synchronized with iCloud. If you transfer pictures to a second library, before you remove them from your iOS devices, copies in different library will remain.

See this help page: using multiple libraries

  • Download optimized photos we three iOS devices is blocked probably for lack of storage space on the device.

I transferred my photo library 47 000 iMac to iCloud. It took nearly a week, then downloaded iCloud all optimized to my iPhone photos 6 and iPad. My wife's phone has however only uploaded 20 000 photos and seems stuck. Remaining storage is equal to zero. the file of the photo and the camera is 8.4 GB on 11. We have removed all but essential applications.

There were several thousand photos on his phone before the download starts.

I tried to load his camera on pictures and it shows 2240 photos that were imported to the pictures already. If I could remove these, it could open enough space on the phone to continue and complete the download and optimization.

Disable iCloud photo library before removing all the pictures, then turn it back on.

  • How to import photos from an iOS device photos via USB?

I import my photos of iPhone & iPad via USB for pictures on my Mac.

I turned off the option to automatically open Photo when I plug my iPhone to Mac, because in most cases, I don't want to import Photos (for example just recharge the phone via the USB port).

But now I can not get an option to import my photos.

I read the help pages, but can't find the answer because it suggests options should open when the USB key is inserted, but the screen remains the same

  • Remove photos from ios devices.

If I delete the photos on my ipad or iphone original will always be in my library icloud?

I would still be able to access my photos, my icloud, on my ios devices, but do not want to store photos on them. I already have icloud configuration to optimize storage and photo stream is disabled on ipad, but turned on, on my iphone.  It's possible?

The warning that I get when I delete a photo tells me that it will also be deleted in iCloud.

have you thought about a service like Flickr? You can configure it to automatically download photos, and he keeps private until make them you public. It is also free and works on android, iOS, and office. (Given the iCloud limit size, that's what Ive started to use for my photos, you get a terabyte of space instead of 5 gig)

And beyond their downloading, what you change on Flickr is not performing what is on your device and vice versa... I deleted the photos off my camera and had them again are on my flickr.

  • keep the photos in icloud, but remove them from the iOS device?

Hi, need help to keep my old photos in the cloud, then to remove them from my iphone device. I can also keep on my mac but still once, how can I make sure that when I delete from my iphone I can still access them in the cloud or on my big Mac? My phone is getting to the maximum it can hold up to now need to move them to a storage for later viewing device, editing or other.

    Thank you

You cannot store pictures on iCloud and remove them from your device. Remove them on the phone also icloud removes them. You can set for storage optimized on your device that compresses the resolution of the device stored photos, keep the originals in iCloud.

If you want to be able to todelete pictures from your phone and store them elsewhere, you must use subscription such as Dropbox cloud storage or store them on your computer.

  • After the activation of the device to update IOS 9.3 is not possible

Can not activate ipad 2 after updating ios 9.3. The server is temporarily unavailable. Can anyone help?

There is a known issue with iOS 9.3 and there is still no specific treatment. The ideas below can help or they cannot. Some have worked for some people but not others.

Some have suggested to go to icloud.com, sign in with your apple ID and remove your device from your cloud account, and then try to activate again.

Others have suggested to simply try to restore the factory via iTunes on your computer settings.

The restoration works for others once they go to iCloud.com and remove their device.

Option 4 is just wait and see when Apple can issue a fix.

You can connect to iCloud here

    https://www.iCloud.com/

And here is a step by step on restoring your device if you want to try it.

You need to restore your device as New to remove a restriction password. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore like New or from a backup, do not forget to click New.

You can restore from a backup if you have one on before you set the restriction password.

If none of the work for you, then:

Follow these steps to put your device in recovery mode iOS. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.

    1. disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, but leave the

other end of the cable connected to the USB port of your computer.

    2. turn the power off: press and hold the sleep/wake button for a few seconds button

until the Red slider appears, then drag the slider. Wait until the device turns off.

    * If you can not turn off the device using the slider, press and hold

Buttons sleep/wake and Home at the same time. When the device turns off,

release the sleep/wake button and the home.

    3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable on the

device. The device must light up. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,.

leave the unit in charge for at least ten minutes to make sure that the battery has some

charge and then start again at step 2.

    4. continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen

When this screen appears, you can release the home button:

    5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following alert of "recovery mode":

    6. use iTunes to restore the device.

If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, repeat these steps. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.

Note: When you use recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All content on the device user is deleted, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.
