    Hi Renee-me,

I recommend that you do not uninstall the updates that are installed on your computer.

Windows Update makes the secure PC and helps run smoothly.

For more information, refer to this link: Windows Update

We suggest to delete the Windows updates only in troubleshooting an issue that may have been caused by an update. Refer to KB 310312 for more information on how to use the disk cleanup to free up space on the hard disk.

    Hope the helps of information.

  • I'm unable to open ' add or remove programs "-after previuosly deletion of multiple applications.

I downloaded free TV and after a few seconds I started to receive several pop ups.  So I went into 'Add oir remove programs' and tried to delete only whatt I added indicating by date.  Now, I can not enter in «Add or remove prgrams.»  I get an error message indicating that I have no file required to open this file.

    Apparently, I removed something I shouldn't.

    Help, please.

First of all, you can not rely or guardianship what add / remove programs tells you about the dates, time, last used, etc..

For example, I use my MS Office every day, but the ARP says that it is rarely used and last used on 2010-10-10.

Such things would work correctly if the installation programs would put enough correct information in the registry during the installation of applications, but most are not.  Even applications like MS Office Microsoft isn't much good.  Do not pay attention to this information.

If you get an error message, you must validate exactly what the said error, think what ARP file is missing and tell us more about your system.

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

What you see you don't think you need to see?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

If the safety of MS Scanner could remove some data, I would not use it.  Why would you use something that might make you lose data?  I find it quite helpless though.

If sfc/scannow solves your problem, I'll send you or your charitable organization preferred $100 Americans.

You will not run sfc/scannow successfully anyway unless you have a XP installation CD authentic which corresponds to your Service Pack installation (most people don't).  The technical support engineers always seem to leave out this little nugget of information.

While you wait, I want to this instead:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

old question question/new - matter always request how to fix or recover from the windows/system32/rnudll.exe in computer science. I see no other answer to this anywhere

    Hi DadVQ,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

This problem occurs because of a missing or corrupted Rundll32.exe file. This problem can also be caused by a virus.

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: Follow the steps mentioned in the article below and check if the problem still persists.

Cannot find the Rundll32.exe file when you open Control Panel

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/812340

Method 2: If the problem persists, I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While hard disk analysis if bad sectors are found when scanning try to repair this area, all available on which data can be lost.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Remove the last 35 days of a table data

    Hello

I had a table to n days of data. I need to remove the last 35 days of data. My table has consecutive dates i.e. There were no load weekend or holidays...

    (1) Using INTERVAL command can simply calculate the difference. So it won't work.

    (2) I can use RANK to find the sequence. Is there a better way to write a logic to delete?.

    concerning

    KVB

    PurveshK,

I think you have the right idea. Just get the ID of the innermost query.

This should be quite effective, especially if there is an index on the date.

    drop table t;

    create table t:

Select trunc (sysdate) - level * 2 double dt connect by level<=>

    delete t

    where rowid in)

    Select rn

    de)

Select the rowid rn, dense_rank() over (order by dt desc) dr

    t

    )

    where dr<=>

    );

Furthermore, the date field must be NOT NULL for the index be used - or even add WHERE DATE IS NOT NULL to the innermost query.

  • Error when you open Add or remove programs: "failed to create value" At Line 451 how this can be corrected?

Once all updates completed, I now can't add remove programs to work.

I get the following in a box error message: "failed to create value"at line 451.

Someone knows how to fix this?

    Hi ZebWebb,

    1. What service pack is installed on the computer?
    2. You have security software installed on the computer?

If you have recently installed Windows XP SP1 on the computer, then see the article and check if that helps.

  • In "Add or remove programs' done 'change '?

I am trying to run Combofix and it want me to have the updated Recovery Console which I think has something to do with "Service Pack 2, 3.0" I tried the update section, but it says that everything is up to date.  So I chose change in Add or remove programs and something happened, but I do not know what? Laughing out loud.

    Hello

Change = repair, most of the time. Although sometimes it is just another menu to uninstall, etc.. It is usually labeled in three ways - modification, repair, change / repair.

    Kind regards

  • How can I remove a duplicate 'Add or remove programs"icon in the control panel?

Whenever I open the Control Panel on my computer, I see two icons "Add or Remove Programs". How can I fix this problem?

Some of what you see in the Panel comes from Control Panel Extension files found in the folder c:\windows\system32 (assuming that XP is installed on your C drive).  If you look at our you will find some there. CPL files and those who do a lot of what you see in the Panel.

The applet Add / Remove programs you see displayed in the Panel appears because there is a file there called:

    appwiz.cpl

If you go to c:\windows\system32 and copy the appwiz.cpl file and call the copy something like jose.cpl then go to control panel, you will see so two addition / deletion of programs listed (and they both work).  Non believers, try it.

If you see two copies of add or remove programs in Control Panel, both work?

I don't know what your problem is exactly or how it got that way, but if you use the Windows Explorer and browse to c:\windows\system32 folder, and then click search for .cpl, you will get a list of all the .cpl in this folder files (and maybe also see copies of backup in the dllcache folder).

Click the size column heading to sort the. CPL files by size, then look for appwiz.cpl in the list and then look for another. CPL file above or below that has the same size and date than the appwiz.cpl file and see what the name of this file is (as jose.cpl).  If there is another file that is the same size and date than the appwiz.cpl, that's your problem.

If you find it will not know what it is, you can just rename the suspicious file to something ending with an extension .cpl (like jose.xxx) and see what things look like.  If things get worse, just rename the file, the original name and seek some other idea-ers.

If you find the file that resembles appwiz.cpl and don't know what it is, tell us what you see and that someone can help you to understand.
