  I don't know which is the site of ammyy, and I don't know what you have downloaded. If you just downloaded a file and tried not to install or run, there are no danger to him, niether to your computer or any other. If you think it's dangerous, just delete it.

• Why are my films purchased not appearing is not on video Xbox?

  I was buy movies through video of Microsoft services because it is the Zune Marketplace. Bought some of my older movies like Iron man 2, Expendables and Kick-* appear, but some others do not. I bought the movie Sucker Punch twice, both the regular and extended cut. Which none does not appear in my library of movies on my Surface, ' Xbox360, or your laptop. I originally downloaded the movies on my old PC, but even to copy the copy on my Surface or the laptop does not work because of the DRM. X - Men First Class was bought and did the same thing as well. Sucker Punch is showing again available for purchase digitally on the site and it asks me to buy, once again. I had already bought the Blu - Ray version, so buy me still would be to buy the film for a 4th time! This is ridiculous. The whole point of buying the film is I can watch it at a later date. Then they make it unavailable to you, what's the point? The tell you to download for your protection, but its cargo with DRM so if you never change computer or peripheral DRM makes your useless copy. This isn't like I wouldn't be able to watch my copy of Blu - Ray, if I never changed to Blu - Ray players. It becomes crazy, that's why people don't want to go digital. The technology is great and amazing, but with all these restrictions to your own stuff, its no wonder people don't want to go digital. Is there anything I can do to be able to watch the content, I've already bought, twice by Microsoft services and now been locked on?

• SPA942 not visible to the network after factory reset

  A while ago someone at our office a factory reset on one of our Linksys SPA942 phones.  He thought that it worked (it worked flawlessly; but our router has decreased. Great).  The sad thing is, from the factory, it did not work.

  The problem is that no matter what we try - DHCP or static IP - we do not seem to make this device visible on our network. As in, type us its IP address in a browser and do not see the Setup page.

  We have tried everything we can think of.  Subnet mask is correct. Addresses DNS and IP - PBX (for not they should really make a difference) are correct.  I don't see what the problem is.

  Can someone please offer a suggestion, before go me crazy? !!!

  First of all, thank you for your response. It prompted me to do some play. Here are the results, in case anyone else having a similar problem (a cable by a novice/cheapskate) stumbles across this post...

  We don't have a SPA9000. Simply, we have a Belkin router wired to four points:

  1. downstairs IP - PBX - work

  2. downstairs SPA942 & PC - both work

  3. downstairs SPA942 & PC - both work

  4 floor SPA942 (does not work) & PC (work)

  So... all PC connect perfectly to the Internet and the network, as do both phones down.

  Following the principle of your simple suggestion ("make sure that it is correctly connected to the network") and the first rule of tech support ("is the computer plugged in, sir?"), I decided to reject the hypothesis that the handset was at fault and check if the connection upstairs was to blame (even if the PC we have up there connects very well).

  Bingo! Telephone three works when it is plugged downstairs. Phone two, which worked fine at the bottom, does not work on the floor.

  So now I know what the problem is... but have no idea WHY the problem is. Why don't the floor point network working perfectly for each device I care to plug in - office book server, ATA, fax, you name it - and not for the SPA942?

  I changed all the cables around the router, in order to verify if there was something wrong with a specific port. That has not changed anything. Assume that all router ports are fine.

  So what does this leave... the cable? Seems unlikely, but all other possibilities have been rejected.

  So, I put the phone on the floor downstairs and plugged directly on the router, using another length of cable. Knit then all three phones.

  Look closer to the floor and found wiring that it is three separate lengths of CAT5, joined with connectors RJ45 base (suppose cabler could not to allow/couldn't be bothered buying a cable length).

  Last question... it is likely one of the lengths is a cable cross/patch... that all the devices other than our SPA942 are smart enough to understand this and to compensate accordingly? How the office is wired, it is very tedious and precarious (12 foot ceilings, etc.) to get in there and change the cable lengths, but obviously do so if it is the likely culprit.

• Why are there updates as long as there is no place for the programs they update?

  I have a Sony notebook with windows XP operating system. Whenever I turn it on, I have more updates. It got to the point that there is no more space left on the drive C for programs that are updated. Why are updates written so sloppily? Would not take more attention to the space used by these updates? My first computer was a 10 meg hard drive and it works perfectly, now 14 gigs is not enough. Must we have 500 gigs to run windows? Does this reader size filling too in time? Is there a way to provide more space on my hard drive without replace or remove the original programs IE. Windows? Cant I consolidate updates into a lighter version to date of a program without updates? I wonder if a total format would help even at this stage.   HERE COMES UPDATES!

  If you run out of space on the hard drive of your computer, you do not have a large enough hard to meet your needs drive and/or you have not successful space.

  You have posted in forum Windows XP and Windows XP with all updates since the beginning and a Suite of office of your choice and a picture/photo editing application of your choice and alternative browsers of your choice and several Internet Plugins for each of these browsers installed with an assortment of other applications should take between 4.5 GB and 10 GB of disk space.  Which leaves you, with your stuff, the rest of the car in question.

  If you are comfortable with the stability of your system, you can delete the uninstall of patches which has installed Windows XP...

  You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

  1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
  2. click on the System Restore tab.
  3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
  4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
  5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

  You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

  Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...
  (These instructions will be different depending on the version of IE that run you.)

  -Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
  -On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
  -Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
  -Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
  -Click OK.
  -Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
  -Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

  Those who can help you discover visually where all space is used.

  At the end of the day - a standard installation of Windows XP with all sorts of options is likely not above about 4.5 GB to 10 GB in size. If you have more space than that (probably do on a modern machine) and most seem to be used - probably you must copy * tips * off or find a better way to manage it.

• Ubuntu PC not visible on the network

  I have a pc Ubuntu (10.10) in the same workgroup as a pc Vista (Home Premium). The Ubuntu machine can 'see' the Working Group and the machine Vista and actions. The Vista machine cannot see the Ubuntu machine (it does not appear on the network), although it may be possible.

  Network discovery and sharing are enabled on the Vista machine and have shared folders. Samba is installed and working OK on the Ubuntu machine.

  What should I do to allow the machine Vista access folders on the Ubuntu pc?

  This seems to be true for Windows 7 so it probably works for Vista as well.

  Machines of Ubuntu do not seem to be visible on the nerwork unless you have really shared a folder on them...

• Why my media library is not visible on other machines in my home group or my PS3?

  I am relatively tech savvy but I have a problem with getting my network to recognize my media library on one of my Windows 7 PC.

  I am wanting to use Windows Media Player 12 to do this, I ran TVersity successfully, but I prefer to use the ability to stock of the operating system.

  I'm pretty sure I got this before work:
  Network and sharing Center-> choose homegroup and options-> sharing stream my pictures, music and video (active)

  On a remote machine, I can see the libraries when I use Windows Explorer-> homegroup
  I can see the music, videos and photos, I also see 'My music' and 'Pictures' folders (not sure why the last two is split out into their own sections)
  When I open Windows Media Player, but I don't see anything under "other libraries".

  If I open Windows Media Player on the local computer I see other libraries of slots "other libraries". I don't however see individual files to "My Music" or "my pictures."

  I tried:
  The firewall reset
  Netstat - year - b, I see wmpnetwork Sam listening on 2869 and some svchost.exe on UDP 1900 so I'm sure that the process is running.

  I was wondering if it was a permissions thing, but I tried so many different things, I thought I was opening the question up to the community. I found that somehow 'My Music' and 'My pictures' were not shared with the homegroup, but I changed that.

  Also, (and I guess that naturally has the situation) I don't see the PC as a DLNA server on my PS3.

  I went with the method described above. I also added a (.bat file) task in the Task Scheduler with "run with highest privileges" to the net sh stop/start services in the correct order as above after a 90 second sleep - is not ideal, but it works!

  First of all, the format is NTFS, not NTFS.  Secondly, it should be no reason why you shouldn't be able to format as NTFS drives - I just grabbed one of mine to random (8 GB PNY) and was able to format to NTFS.  You may need to use disk management to remove existing partitions first.

• Why are external USB drives not considered "Devices with removable storage" by Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium?

  Readers USB Flash RAM, CD drive USB, readers of CD - RW USB, USB DVD +-RW drives and DVD-ROM USB readers are all handled by Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium as "devices with removable storage".  To check this, look under the "Computer" entry in the menu 'start '.  However, if one uses as a USB external hard drive, that one is listed under 'hard drive '.  Programs noticed this, and some of them refuse to use it as a removable media drive, even if it is technically removable media, with its electronic and all.  It's kind of weird, because you can't remove the RAM on the USB Flash memory drives either.  Is there a way to get readers to external USB hard drive listed under "devices with removable storage"?

  USB hard drives do not seem material RMB (removable media bit) bit set.

  I tried to format my external drive scratch NTFS (it has been formatted in this way, but I have re-formatted to ensure that), and it always happens as "Local Disk".  Also, I put the "Optimize for quick removal" option on the parameters of the disk driver hard software.  Which doesn't change anything either.  It came even as "Local Disk".  Finally, I formatted the drive with the FAT32 file system (use some flash drives).  The drive still shows as "Local Disk".  In the tests described above, I still "withdrew safely" the disk first and then re-connected.

  Thanks for the help, I now know it is a bit material in the electronic control unit which controls special registration of the drive in the operating system.

  After trying to do step 2, I get this error returned to SoapUI:

  Error getting response; java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read Timed out
  

  Then things start to get bad in my environment. I end with the blocked threads and restart services to make them disappear. Here are some log messages relevant I see when the problem occurs:

  Here's the kicker: if I call ExecuteSQLQuery instead of ExecuteXMLQuery I get a good answer. I even used ExecuteSQLQuery to run the exact logical SQL of the query path that I used in my ExecuteXMLQuery call. I even tried to launch ExecuteXMLQuery to several different requests for BI (all very simple queries that run immediately in the application itself).

  I also have another environment OBIEE, same version and OS, where I can run ExecuteXMLQuery and get a good response.

  Any ideas?

• Why the ZapfDingbats police is not visible in my documents Web Viewer?

  I have some PDF documents that use the Zapf Dingbats font to mark an X in the checkbox fields to show that they are selected.

  

  They display perfectly seen in an application such as Adobe Reader, NitroPDF, PrimoPDF and virtually all other applications used to display PDF files.  However, when I try to download a document with the ZapfDingbats font on my display of web documents... all I can see is empty boxes.

  

  Is it possible to install the font ZapfDingbats which will allow my document viewer show the X instead of the box?

  I'm afraid that no - Type1 and TTF/OTF are very different. But it's worth a try.

  I contact the developers Atalasoft and explain the problem. Maybe there is a solution or the source of the problem lies deeper.
