  The foregoing. When I opened a new tab in the past, before the new update, firefox would automatically highlight the text in the address bar, and I couldn't just start typing here the address of the site that I wanted to. I could quickly get anywhere I want in less than a second. Now, I need to drag, and then click on in the bar every time to address. I installed an add-on called "custom newtab", but it slows down just me lower due to a lag between opening a new tab and the add-on kick and highlighting the contents of address bar.

  The http URL now automatically redirects to https. Since you did not specify the Protocol in your newtab.url setting, Firefox attempts http and it is immediately redirected to the https domain. You should be able to see this happen unless your computer is much faster than mine.

  Firefox does not handle this redirect elegantly - the URL in the address bar is not enabled unless you click a different tab, and then click back.

  To work around the problem, update your newtab.url to the URL https://www.google.co.uk/ full

  You can hide the menu bar in Firefox 3.6 on Windows, on "view > toolbars" or via the contextual right click menu on a toolbar.

  Back in 3.x and more I was able to place a "open new window" button and a button "open new tab" in the bookmarks toolbar. This has worked well for me. Now with 4, the 'new tab' is not available, and you can open a new tab using the default button, right next to your already open tabs.

You can look at the drop down window of pages and just choose whatever you want. I use it all the time and it is not on FF4. I want to go back to the old FF.

  If you right click on your back button, or click and hold down the mouse button, it will display the list. (I prefer a click-right, because sometimes my fingers slide when I try to click and hold)

  If you want to rotate a PDF anti-clockwise, then you choose the button anti-clockwise. It is a movement of the LEFT then why is the button counterclockwise on the right?

  Thanks for your suggestion. If you use Acrobat DC we have options page under the tool rotation organize Pages (with the same icons) where changes can be saved, while, to discover rotation only tools that cannot be saved are opposite. It's just to make the difference between the two sets.

  Hi, madperson! And thanks for your reply. Yesterday, when I posted my request, I had already run FF in safe mode and checked all the (and some) ext/addons I have. The problem persisted, while I posted my question. This morning, however, the glitch seems to have emptied himself! The button tab and the icon "+" both work as before! Don't ask me what happened, I couldn't even begin to try to explain. In any case, here's the ext/addons I: Norton Protection against vulnerabilities. Personas; Flash Video Downloader; Groowe Search Toolbar (which was proposed by Mozilla); and Yahoo Toolbar. Thanks again for your help, I appreciate it.
