• CSS problem - empty space at the top of page

  Hi guys, I wonder if maybe someone can see what I did wrong please...  I use Dreamwweaver CC and worked on a few test pages to create a new site, and in some way, I changed without knowing something in the css which means there are now a few inches of white space at the top of the site, above my logo - while the original model fits comfortably up to near the top of the page.    (Problem page - http://www.baseballhypnosis.com/running/mental-training-articles/index.php / Original model - http://www.baseballhypnosis.com/new/running/index.php ).    Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you, Craig T

• Why is there a space to the left of the URL in the navigation bar?

  I use Firefox 24.0 (current version) on Windows 8. There is an excessive amount of whitespace to the left of the url. Why is that? Is there a way to justify the url to the left? I'll post a screenshot below.

  In another thread, this was linked to disable that add-on sometimes uses this space on the address bar. I don't remember that one, or if there is one solution other than he reactivation.

  That should work well. I just test it. Make sure that you have copied all the SD card before you start eating, not only the clips.

• Are there controls formatting of the text in Captivate 7 (Mac)?

  I am very new to Captivate, just downloaded a trial version and I'm trying to format the text.

  • So far, I found that I can control spacing, but not in paragraph spacing.

  I also have some problems with the formatting of bullet:

  • There is a limited choice of characters of the ball - I can't find a way to customize chips, for example by importing an image or using a symbol
  • I can't remove the Indent before the chip and the space between the bullet and the text is fixed
  • The chip is the same color as the text - I can't find a way to have the gray text and orange balls

  Work on a mac, these problems with fleas are important because I found if import Powerpoint slides, the indentation on the balls changes - it is in powerpoint, but false in Captivate, so I really need to find a way to form the reliable text if it is worth persevering with Captivate. Please can anyone suggest alternatives?

  No available spacing of paragraphs. The only way to do this is to add a hard return between paragraphs and then change the size of line spacing or fonts of it.

  You cannot set the spacing before bullets of Captivate is not possible to add your own balls.

  The color of the ball is based on the color of the first character immediately after him. You could have a space after the bullet and change the color of it to change the color of the ball.

  Another option is to not have your text to chips, make a copy of the text box and then manually add bullets to the copied text box. This way you can get rid of the extra space and what you want to change the color of the bullets. (It is not an ideal solution, but it would give you more flexibility if that is what you need.

  I installed FMS and we are evalauating as a streaming server.

  If I understand the documentation, all multimedia files for dissemination should be stored in this directory:

  /.../applications/VOD/media

  However, if I want the file to be available (downloadable) over http, it should be located under webroot.

  /.../Webroot/

  Now my question is, why can't I just create a symbolic link from .../webroot/media to point .../applications/vod/Media.

  In general, we would like to do each file streamable and downloadable.

  My thought is, the sym link allow us not to have to download each file in two places.

  Am I missing something?  Are there security issues?  What is the idea behind having 2 directories?  I guess that the FMS can handle streaming and downloading a file at the same time.

  Jay is right.

  The server has been configured with two directories, because many customers is not available for download on HTTP support. Vod/media folder is for RTMP streaming only. Other clients need their media available on HTTP and RTMP. Webroot/vod folder is for these files.

  Here's how the configuration:

  If you look at the (rootinstallationfolder/conf) fms.ini file, you will see two parameters that define the location of vod media files:

  VOD_COMMON_DIR = C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 3.5\webroot\vod

  VOD_DIR = C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 3.5\applications\vod\media

  These parameters are used in the tag in the folder rootinstallationfolder/applications/vod application.xml configuration file. They say FMS it can stream files to one of these places.

  /Webroot is the Apache Web root. The Apache httpd.conf (rootinstallationfolder\Apache2.2\conf) file defines the location of the webroot folder. Whatever under this folder can be downloaded.

  For broadcast only, put the files in the vod/media folder. For the streaming + download, put the files in the webroot/vod folder.

  With the last update of Firefox, the number of tiles is now determined on the size of the screen - if zoom you or enlarge the window, you can have several tiles appear.

• Adobe CC at the top right of my Mac is empty.

  I tried to go to the Adobe site for re - download CC.  It says it's loading, but IT IS NOT!  There is a download icon in the upper right corner of my Mac, which should show it is downloading, but the only thing it shows is my recent downloads, nothing for the CC.  I tried all the menus help from Adobe, but he continues to send me in a loop.  Return to the screen, that is without help!

  I tried the above, does not.  Finally, I went to the Adobe site and it took FOREVER to find the link to chat with someone.  When I finally found it, the support has been fast and efficient.  I had to give him permission to embark on my computer.  I don't know what he was doing, but he has set.  But thank you for your response.  I wish that had worked for me, but it didn't.

  I wouldn't try to consolidate anything - you could end up with a no boot situation. Some of us have recently discussed this and it was never cleared up. From what I know, it's the small recovery partition is Windows start-up files. The Efi partition is used for diagnosis, updates to the Bios, etc. Of course, C: is your partition Windows then recovered on D: files to run a system recovery in case you need to reinstall Windows. The great mystery is why Windows displays duplicates of some of the partitions. They are not physically there - but seem to be.

  This reminds me that I need to re - visit this discussion and see if any explanantion was never found.
