  I have a problem see a file in LR 4.2 when it is located in the folder where I want it to be.

  I created a composite tiff image of two raw files residing in two different folders.  I had exported the two LR like TIFF raw files, open the TIFF in Photoshop CS5, then grouped into a file of multilayer tiff to create a composite file 600 + MB.  This composite was recorded in Photoshop, under a new file name using the "save under".  I knew that the new composite file would not be in the LR catalog, until I imported it.   When I imported, the picture went in a new folder named date (call the folder "A").  So far, it all makes sense to me.

  From that point on things got funny.  Working in LR, I tried to move the composite single file in the folder that make up one of the files is from (let's call it 'B' folder).  The move has failed. Instead, I got an error message saying that the file already existed in 'b '.   I couldn't see the file in 'B' using lightroom, but MS Explorer revealed that the file was there.  I don't understand how he got there.

  Still trying to get my composite 'B' recognized by LR, I first deleted the composite 'B' using Explorer, then went into LR and moved the file 'A' (where recognized LR), in 'B '.   Still not good.  LR does not display the file in 'B', but it appears in the Explorer.

  I guess I could live with this composite file into its own folder, 'A', but this isn't really where I want to.  More importantly, I don't understand why I can't see in LR in the folder where I want to.

  Help is appreciated.

  My catalog file is corrupted?

  The XMP files have something to do with it?

  The size of the file (> 600 MB) a factor?

  Any suggestions?

  Problem went away this morning!

  I tried this step once again (again) after my computer starts:

  Still trying to get my composite 'B' recognized by LR, I first deleted the composite 'B' using Explorer, then went into LR and moved the file 'A' (where recognized LR), in 'B '.

  This time it worked, the file moved successfully and normally appears in LR.

  Don't know if the re-booting helped, or I made a stupid mistake that healed a good night sleep to.  If later, I apologize to all those who are scratched their heads on this one.

• Why can I not see the files I back up by using the backup and restore of Vista

  Can someone help me?  I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and implemented backup and restore feature Vista so that every Sunday he automatically backs up my computer to my external drive.  I was on the computer when he said it starts up and that upward was completed successfully.  I assummed everything was fine until today when I show my father my drive external and noticed that none of the backup of files were there... or at least I did not see them.  The only files on the disk were the ones I put manually on here from my old computer.  I then ran a manual upward using Vista and again it says backup successfully completed.  I then watched the external hard drive and once again no new files.  The strange thing is the back up and restore program shows all the dates he has saved and also allows me to restore files from the back to the top.  To do this, I deleted a file I didn't really need out of my hard drive and then is gone to restore program and found the file and restored.  Problem is that the program does not say where he makes the file from.  What is going on?  Are backup files of certain types of hidden file I don't see unless I use the backup and restore program under vista?  I am currently running Vista Home Premium on a 32 bit system and the external hard drive I have is a Western Digital My Book Essential Edition.

  Windows backup is stored in a folder with the same name as your computer.  Open a command prompt and type echo %ComputerName% or startup, right-click on computer, properties.  You should see that % ComputerName % folder on your external drive, and in this context, a backup set. • Why can I not see my files or files on my flash drive?

  I bought a 64 GB USB flash drive to make a copy of some files (mainly of the wavs and mp3s into folders and subfolders several).  I drag some of them in the flash player and wait until the bar fills and the 'task' was over.  At this point, I can see the files.  I'll work and return with files over again to copy and when I open the flash drive in the viewfinder, I see nothing.  I try to copy the previous files (because they seem to not be there) and it is said that they ARE there.  Why is this and how do I solve this problem so I can see what was copied and what does not?

  I also get these weird errors if I try out something.  It's never happened before.  I'm quite confused.

  The padlock icon means that the files are not shared with others.  If you right click on the folder and choose "Share with" menu, you can remove the lock (but doing so allows anyone on your network to see your files).

  Regarding files jpeg appears not, have you tried pressing F5 to force the file to refresh?
  If this does not work, please respond and let me know.  It could be that the files are not saved to your documents, but in fact a system such as "C:\Program Files\Ancentry\" folder.

  I am now using Windows 7.
  For 6 years I have been using Vista, I never activated Aero, not to mention transparency. Reason: huge consumption of resources and slow down the performance.

  Anyway, you are not supposed to activate the transparency first before you can see the sidebar with a transparent background?

• Why can I not make Acrobat Reader my default PDF application?

  When I try, I get this message: "Adobe Reader could not become your default PDF application." No reason is given. I use Windows 10, 64-bit operating system.

  Looks like I answered my own question. I just installed the patch for Acrobat Reader to version 11.0.14 and it looks like my request to make it my default program for PDF files will stick this time.

  Since the upgrade to Acrobat 9, I am unable to print PDFs with my Canon ip5000. I reinstalled my printer and installed the latest driver from Canon. This did not help. I can print a PDF using Acrobat 8.

  Search for all of the .plist files associated with Acrobat in main library > directory preference or user > directory of preference library to delete these files in the Recycle Bin.

  The 6216 not having a sample for the e/s digital clock as you can see from reading the specification, every time you try to use one, you will get this error message. Thus, in LabVIEW, whenever you want to do a reading, you must call a single value DAQmx Read mode single sample (or the DAQ Assistant, configured the same way). How many samples per second you take is going to be highly variable due to windows being nondeterministic.

• Why can I not find Wacom files on my system?

  OK, so I know the obvious answer is "because they aren't there.

  Here's my problem. I installed a Wacom tablet, and is the source of the problems. I constantly receive alerts telling me that there is a problem with the drivers and advising me of re - install. I did this several times, but the problem persists. I contacted Wacom and asked their opinion. They me sent instructions on how to completely remove the Tablet from a Mac (not much use to me as I'm on a Windows 7 PC).

  Then, I searched their site for advice and found the instructions State I should unplug the Tablet and then uninstall through Control Panel technology programs and features. He said I should get my system for the following files, then remove them wherever I find them:

  Tablet.dat
  pen_tablet.dat

  It also has wave direction to remove ' as wintab files *. * »

  I searched my C drive for these files, but nothing does. I'm doing something wrong? Surely if Wacom says they are there they should be. After all, I have installed their tablet.

  My favorite uninstaller is Revo uninstaller Pro. It eliminates having to search the registry entries and files remaining after uninstall of a program. I would suggest your reinstall your Wacom tablet in the hope that there are these files you are looking for is no longer on your system. If you don't experience the same problems as before, then you have done, but if they do again popup, download and run the trial version of Revo uninstaller Pro from the link below for help with the full uninstall before attempting to reinstall again.

• Why can I not print pdf files? All I get is a bar progression and the sounds of the printer.

  When I click on print, a progress bar is displayed and 'progressing' through 5 pages of a pdf file. The printer starts to get a restless and I get a beep of the printer that it's done. But nothing came out of the printer! A few seconds later, a blank piece of paper is slowly ejected from the printer.
