  Hi, unfortunately this is a regression with firefox 36. Yahoo has contacted by mozilla on this problem - it would be for them to make the point to their addon to make it compatible with the current versions of the browser again.

  The only thing I can suggest would be to keep looking for a compatible version of Windows 7 that will meet your needs. Compatibility with Windows 7 is the responsibility of the software developer.

  Turns out having had a problem of this laptop in particular, as you suggest.
  I tried to clear cookies and cache, but the problem remains same after uninstalling and reinstalling FireFox. I finally downloaded, installed, and the part used 'TuneUp' software including deleted the cache and cookies and updated my Malwarebytes Anti - Malware Pro after that I uninstalled FireFox. So when I reinstalled FireFox, AOL email was opened quickly by using this browser. Happy
