Why change the Illustrator in the size and position values?

HY all!

Illustrator 5.5 always change my input values of size or position.
(For example: I type 10mm, press enter and 10 changed in 10, 231mm.)

I checked again and again, but I don't have any snap function activated.

I have Illustrator CS6 too, which works very well (but much more slowly).

Checked all my affecting about 5 times, still not found the solution...

Thank you very much for your advice!

  • Change the size and position of the icon of the list

    Hello!

    I tried to follow this tutorial to add social media icons to my site:

    http://www.webtutorialplus.com/elegant-social-media-menu-with-CSS/

    I managed to do that, but I'm now trying to reorganize (I think that's in the form of list), so that icons are aligned vertically, rather than horizontally.

    I also try to change the size of them, preferably so that they resize according to the fluid grid layout that I use.

    HTML:

    Not too sure.  You can try to change font-size: 30px to see if that does anything.

  • I don't know how to change the size and quality of the text on the screen on Windows 7

    I just installed a new Windows 7 but I don't know how to change the size and quality of the text on the screen.  I tried all the things normal, resolution, size of icons, dpi etc but nothing gives me what I want.  The text in clear 'wonderful' thing is just terrible.  When I go through the 4 steps I see no text boxes which make the text nothing better.  All options are terrible, so the result on screen is too terrible.  When I do any huge I do not get a full screen of things - view the Start button disappears or I did not closing small cross at the top - of the suggestions to inprove the situation?  I must mention that my screen/monitor is 2006 - I need to buy a new one?  How much is this Windows 7 is going to cost me, or maybe I should go back to XP!

    I sincerely thank all you smart "technicians" for all the answers you always gave myself and all others who ask questions.  I'm not too smart with all this new technology as I fell into it very late.  I am now in my 60s and only started using a pc when I was over 50 years so...  In any case, I asked a question about the size of screen resolution and text and received much good advice from all that you guys.  I had recently changed in XP to Windows 7.  However, the bit of advice that I was given in 'Cyberking' here at the Portugal had set the resolution of the screen, the advanced settings, 75 to 60 Hertz Monitor tab.  Very basic, and the first question asked the technician (Lady) was "what size is your screen?  Naturally as a smaller screen that any 'techno' would be considered dead aid, solving the problem was simple and straightforward without me having to stretch my knowledge and my skills by downloading all programes weird (to me) or do the funny stuff in the bios or something else.  I send this comment to you for you to realize that the simple solution is not always bad and maybe we should go for the easiest first and then work up to the more difficult ones.

    Just for you all to see - now my screen resolution is perfect, the text on the screen is clear and legible without difficulty, even though the size of text and icon is small.  Clarity is all!

    Thank you all once again!   Best regards, Blondie blue.

  • Until I changed the NLS_COMP and NLS_SORT values

    Using Oracle 10 g on Windows Server 2003.

    To change the NLS_COMP and NLS_SORT values for insensitive comparison of emphasis in requests (ie: 'a' or 'a' should be the same)

    We intend to do:
    ALTER SESSION SET NLS_COMP = ANSI;
    ALTER SESSION SET NLS_SORT = GENERIC_BASELETTE

    So, we hope he allow us to query as:

    Select * from table_a where text like "Dad %.

    Results:

    But before you make these changes, I would like to know what are the current settings of the NLS_COMP and NLS_SORT. How can I find them? I read on NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS, but I think it's things Oracle 11 g.

    Once I changed NLS_COMP and NLS_SORT throgu ALTER SESSION, should I restart the service for the instance, so the changes will be permanent?

    Yes, or in pfile equivalent functional or spfile.

  • How can I change the minimum and maximum values on a map of metrics.

    Sorry, I'm new to vCOPs and it drives me crazy.  I searched the community and Google, but found nothing so thought I'd post here.  I am interested in a VM in vCOPs and select operations - tab the metric.  I add the CPU usage | Use (%) to the table.  By default, the y-axis is has a low of-40 and a maximum of 60.  Well, my % of the CPU usage never goes below 0% right?  It's hard to look at this figure.  Also, I like to see usage to 100% as a maximum rather than somewhere just above where is the top of the chart.  Looks like there should be an easy way to change the minimum and maximum y, but I can't seem to find it.  Can someone show me what I'm missing here?

    Thank you

    Bob

    He does. There is no way to force it to a specific axis. For vC Ops, there is no concept of a "desired" min and max for Y axis in respect to the display by the metric system settings type. All the data is dynamic and can be any value graphically speaking.

  • Help compare the negative and positive values

    Well guys, I do this example to show you what I mean

    With this example, I can get positive and negative numbers in digital

    But for me, the 'negative' mean nothing

    Example:

    If I have "100-200" for me the biggest value is - 200

    But if I compare the values of bouth got 100 as greater value

    I do the same calc for 3 different variables such as A, B, C

    and after that I need to calc whose value is 'more '.

    But my problem is that if I have the values "-350 300-400.

    the largest will be "300", but for me the 'negative' mean nothing

    so I need to the largest value is "-400".

    For all positive values, its works very well!

    I compare A and B, after the highest is on C and have a result!

    but when I have negative and positive values... I had this problem...

    and when I have negative values only I have a problem too.

    '-300-400-500' for me the largest value must be "-500" but labview-watch "300".

    as - 300 is greater than-500 in algebriac.

    And if I use absolute values, I will always have a positive value... but I need to know if the value is positive or negative

    No matter which, can help me with this?

    Thank you

  • Change the size and spacing on the W7 Office as on XP icons

    I just got a new computer built for my wife who had XP Pro and upgraded to W7. In XP and earlier versions, the ability to change the spacing of the icon of the office and the size of the icons has been variable in small increments. In W7, it appears that these parameters have been set. I would like the ability to make the changes I've done so far in XP and previous. My computer is then to be upgraded and it's one of the things holding me. It's very annoying to not have this ability to adapt in this way.

    Hello

    Right-click on an empty space on the desktop and select personalize.

    At the bottom of the window, select the icon for the color of the window .

    In the window that appears, click the link Advanced appearance settings .

    This will bring up the old style configuration window. Click on the drop down item and usethe icon spacing (Horizontal) and (Vertical).

    I hope this helps.

  • Change the size and font for any field type?

    Because that copy / paste to the font size and type with it I want to create a script which change

    I tried get to the function 'exit' of the material as follows:

    Form1. TestPage.Subform1.TextField1.font.size = '10pt '.

    Form1. TestPage.Subform1.TextField1.font.typeface = "Myriad Pro";

    I also tried a search field button changes to a script I found online, but it does not work for me:

    function ProcessTextEdit (oField)

    {

    }

    function ProcessAllFields (oNode)

    {

    If (oNode.className is "subform")

    {

    Search fields in the child.

    for (var i = 0; i < oNode.nodes.length; i ++)

    {

    var oChildNode = oNode.nodes.item (i);

    ProcessAllFields (oChildNode);

    }

    }

    Else if (oNode.className == "field")

    {

    Switch (oNode.ui.oneOfChild.className)

    {

    case "textEdit":

    If (oNode.parent.className is "Subform")

    {

    Form1. TestPage.Subform1.TextField1.font.size = '10pt '.

    Form1. TestPage.Subform1.TextField1.font.typeface = "Myriad Pro";

    }

    }

    }

    }

    No luck. Any suggestions?

    I tried the only control font size and type everything by allowing users to retain the flexibility to use color, bold, underline, etc. to highlight certain information when he text above. Plain text allows it. So far, everything I've read, is not possible because Livecycle is not able to control the attribute of Rich Text of the word imported into a Rich text box in Livecycle.

  • Change the size and resolution

    I have a jpg image which is about five inches square to 500 dpi. I would like to enlarge the image as far as possible keep the resolution suitable for printing at 300 dpi.

    I've linked the resolution setting, but the image is reduced in size. Do I need to enlarge the image first? I'm not sure how much. Or y at - it a button that will do it for me? Thank you.

    When you choose Image > size of the Image, if it indicates the width and height 5 inches and 500 pixels/inch resolution, when you uncheck resampling and resolution, type 300, that will increase the size in inches 8,333 each side that is the maximum size you can get with 300ppi without using interpolation (changing the number of pixels shown in the section of the Dimension in pixels of the window the size of the Image).

    You can increase the size by using the interpolation, which is what happens when resample is checked. To increase the size, you can choose Bicubic Smoother (best for enlargements) in the menu at the bottom of the window to the size of the Image. But what will be the outcome depends on the distance of visualization of the printed image, your standards of enlargement, and the details on the image itself - for example, if it is an image of a foggy environment, the size can be increased much more without noticeable loss of details as opposed to an image with strong contrast details.

  • Specify the size and position of the imported frames?

    I have a video job simulating a split-screen effect, with a host of the Conference on the right side of the screen and the pictures imported from their PowerPoint on the other. When the presenter moves to a new slide, I must find this slide and drop it in. To do this, whenever I have imported a still, I have to:

    -Right click on display properties

    -Click on the twistie query

    -change the position to 494/240

    -change the scale to 71%.

    Not much, right? But I literally hundreds of hundreds of these stills. And with each, the area of the proposal close up, so I have to click again on the twistie. I do this for a two day conference with perhaps a dozen speakers and am able to browse literally thousands of still images.

    I tried to import the stills and select more than one, and then view the properties appear dimmed.

    Is there a way to tell PE7 imported stills should be 71% and should be in the position that I need? It would save me a lot of time.

    Jim

    There are basically two ways to do it.

    1.) resize images in Photoshop/ESP to meet your needs and then import them into the pre.

    2.) resize an image in the timeline panel, Rt-click and choose copy, then select all the images fixed and Rt-click, choose the attributes of the dough. It's easier if all the images are the same video track - you just "lasso" them with the cursor.

    I like #1, PS has better resizing algorithms and controls, than before, in my tests.

    Good luck

  • Automatically change the size and have a fluid for dynamic text boxes

    I am seized of text from a thread xmle in the dynamic text boxes. I have boxes of static text that titles each.

    I need help to make the dynamic text boxes if the xml text is larger & move the static text boxes, so that they don't start writing more.

    The code that I used to make the text in the dynamic areas is very simple:

    var xmlData:XML = new XML ();
    var theURL_ur:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("xml.xml");
    var loader_ul:URLLoader = new URLLoader (theURL_ur);
    loader_ul.addEventListener ("complete", fileLoaded);

    function fileLoaded(e:Event):void
    {
    xmlData = XML (loader_ul.data);

    Dummy_txt. Text = xmlData.record1.Dummy;
    Dummy_txt2. Text = xmlData.record1.Dummy2;
    }

    For example

      forum pic.JPG

    You must set your dynamic text boxes autoSize property, while they will increase if necessary:

    myTextField.autoSize = TextFieldAutoSize.LEFT;

    Then, you can use the textHeight field property to get the height of the text in pixels and move the other fields accordingly:

    staticTitle2.y = dynamicText1.y + dynamicText1.textHeight + 10;
