Why 'Check Your Plugins' report outdated plugins as "up-to-date"?
When I visit the 'Check Your Plugins Page' here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
It shows that I got 5.1.404160 Silverlight and it also shows "updated."
This version is outdated since the release of Silverlight 5.1.40728.0 back on August 11, 2015. This update fixes a vulnerability allowing code execution remotely.
Even who was replaced by Silverlight 5.1.40905.0, released on September 29, 2015.
So why your 'Check Your Plugins' page report that vulnerable old version of Silverlight is up-to-date?
Thank you for that bring to our attention. I just updated the page and it should reflect its own version now.
If I go to tools > Addons and click the link "Check to see if your plugins are up to date", it gives me an error
'Plugin conclude a Service error ".
We have encountered an error. Please try your request again later. »
The link sends me to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
If I manually navigate to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ , it works very well.
That is why the link to the secure protocol is broken
Thank you. ..
Wasn't working this morning, but now works

After upgrading to FF35 when first invited to upgrade to 'Check your plugins' will no longer display my plugins or their status.
If I re - install FF34 'Check your plugins' works as expected. Re-upgrade to FF35 translates to 'Check your plugins' no longer works again
Any ideas how to fix?
'Check your plugins' is now working this morning, as planned in the FF35
When I click on "Check to see if your plugins are up to date" in the Add-ons Manager it sends me to a 404 page on the website of Mozilla student Reps. It is a wide spread question? Any solution?

Change the value by: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
After having upgraded to V18.0.2, I can see my add on. But when I click on "check plugin is up to date", I get the screen check 'plugins', but it does not fill in the details of plugin. Was ok with the previous version. Turn a windows XP desktop.

When I'm in the Manager of the ad - ons and I click on 'check to see if my plugins are up to date' I am bound to the list of plugins that they are sent immediately to a java download page. I uninstalled java because of the ongoing security issues
Try this page:
When I go to 'Tools' / 'Plug-Ins' and click on 'Check to see if the Plugins are up-to-date' he going to Mozilla to check your Plugin Page, but fails to see the plugins or plugins active update status. ( https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/?utm_source=firefox-browser & utm_medium = firefox-browser & utm_campaign = plugincheck-update ) I use OS X 10.10.3 / Firefox 37.0.1 / March-14-2015
Tried re-installing original report, clear cookies, clear cache and start in Safe Mode, nothing is. Another ridiculous control and there is never any support when things go wrong. Unfortunately, I have received no professional concern, with a competent cause and healing. None. And I had pointed out to me this problem since Firefox 35.0.
Need info and a difficulty, for months now! Thank you! Whitebuck
Always ask why, you lose users?
It is possible that one of your modules (you need many of the privacy modules) is blocking the site, it works for millions of users per day.
Maybe try to test a fresh Firefox profile? Use the Profile Manager to create and delete profiles Firefox
Tools, Addons, check if your plugins are up-to-date says that my flash is up to date, but I flash 19 and not 20. What is happening with this?
There is no API from the plugin vendors, this list is kept by hand and we do the best we can, but sometimes it takes a day or two to update. It is not intended to be a canonical list, but rather a resource for users.
Since May 4, 2012 about 6 hours EST (on 3 different computers) I get "sorry, we couldn't find the page or file you were looking for" when I click on the link "check to see if your plugins are up-to-date" through the page modules. It is the first time that I've ever met this problem... someone can help me with this? I've tried restarting Firefox, restart computers, cutting off the firewall, uninstall Firefox and reinstalling and so far none of them have worked. It is now Sunday, may 6, 2012 about 10: 30 EST and I was clicking that link several times every day to see if something new happens or fixed and so far it does not... I still see the same page. I'd appreciate if someone could help me to solve this problem very soon... Thanks for any help.
This function seems to be broken (Windows, MAC, Linux) Firefox 12 (release), Firefox (Beta) and Firefox 14 13 (Aurora). A bug has been saved. You can watch the discussion of bug, but please don't post here -> https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=752073
Temporarily, you can go directly to the Plugin Check page by entering the following in your address-> https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ bar only (you might consider Bookmarking that link)
You can also change a hidden preference in Subject: config to correct the problem:
- See-> http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config
- type of topic: config in your address bar, as type a web site address, and then press the Enter key
- ignore the warning and choose to continue
- Search = plugins.update.url
- in the lower part of the screen, right-click on the name of the option and click 'change '.
- Change the value for-> https://www.mozilla.org/%LOCALE%/plugincheck/ . This value changes OR
- the http to https
- The mozilla . com to mozilla . org
- about: config tab

You may need to update some plug-ins. Check your plug-ins and update if necessary:
- Plugin check-> http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
- Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in: install (or update) the Shockwave with Firefox plugin
- Adobe PDF plugin for Firefox and Netscape: Installation/update Adobe Reader in Firefox

- Next-generation Java plug-in for the Mozilla browser: install or update Java in Firefox
I encountered some problems with the java plugin (SE 126.96.36.199 10.9.2.5) and mozilla plugin check site. I always check that if my plugins are up-to-date, so today I did this audit controls and plugin told me, that the java plugin was "outdated". But, it turns out, there is no new version of the java plugin. OK, maybe glitch or something like that, so I reintall plugin-plugin check shows always the same message - "obsolete". I introduced in safe mode in Firefox, tried to delete the file pluginreg.dat profile directory, even reinstalled Firefox itself. Nothing helps.
Maybe someone could help me with this one. It would be good to know what caused this error.
P.S. I use Firefox on Windows 7 64 bit 17.0.1.
Plugins I'm currently using:

I have the latest adobe reader. When I check the plugins from firefox, it says that it needs to be updated. But once installed, it closes as showing that the last adobe drive is already in use, and the only thing I can do is to get out this message with the button FINISH. Now, if it is still activated, the firefox plugin shows is not up-to-date. Some of these photos on the web page are not correctly captured. How to get rid of this problem. Is this a problem with FF or AR

Hi jraju, that's exactly right: the plugin check Web site is currently wrong. If your product Adobe says that it is up to date, it is the most accurate information at the moment.
I wanted to know if anyone knows why Microsoft put plugins under my add on area? It is everywhere in my programs and the computer, so that makes no sense to me? I would like to disable this if I don't train any problems on my computer. I use the photo gallery.
OK ANSWERED BELOW - The plug-in allows you to open and edit files using Microsoft Office applications * Office Authorization plug-in for NPAPI browsers
I also wanted to know how to put the software missing in Firefox. I don't have Adobe shock wave, or Java on my computer. I just make a recovery. I was about to do for software sites, but there are weird things happening near your sites that I don't like. This is such a beautiful home for me!
Microsoft does not have the plugins with modules - Mozilla has done.
When I go to "Tools" then click on "Add-ons" and then click "Plug-Ins" and then click "Check if Plug-Ins are up-to-date", it goes to Mozilla, check your plug in Page it only sit and rotate the "checking with Mozilla on the status of your plugins." I use Win7 Pro and just download the update of Firefox to 35.0.
