  Please follow the steps below to disable the workspace of beginning

  1. Select Preferences > General.
  2. Deselect Show Start Workspace when no document is open.
  3. Restart Photoshop and verify that the problem.

  It sounds like you are having problems with the VGA of the computer infrastructure

  (card mother resident in video card), or with implementation of DDC monitor (it is noted that I sometimes saw strange problems as this caused by bad connections internal cable VGA the monitor itself, usually at the greenhouse at both ends).  If using Factory Reset does not cure it, you could try enabling / disabling DDC/CI on support & out (in the OSD menu; the icon is a rectangular box more or less with "SDC" inside, the factory default is for this parameter in order to be 'on').

  shows that the problem is with the calibration of your screen. The profile in use is corrupted. Delete it and re calibrate. The areas where the three channels are present in the image should show as gray with a no profile corrupt... so

  

  and on some other responses here, LR doesn't use ProPhoto as is the internal colour space (it uses its own which is based on ProPhoto). The color space, that the image will not affect how an image is displayed on one screen correctly calibrated, other that on a screen wide gamut more space will be available. With a calibrated monitor images will reproduce the same thing in any application of color run as they will be considered in your monitor profile. To see the variances created by different profiles or spaces you test a file PS or other applications capable of never.

  If you mean restore as in a factory restore and the keys are still does not the device will require repairs.  If it is a model of the United States please call for Sony Support @ 800-222-7669 so they can trouble shoot and set up for service if required...

  I can open Photoshop very well, all buttons work. I see everything I do in the thumbnail preview of the layer, but all I see on the main screen of design is the background "transparent."
