Why did I receive a message for 2 weeks saying "secure connection failed" on Thunderbird?
for the last two weeks, I get the "secure connection failed" message and clicking Add exception does not work.

That looks like a problem with bad sniffing user agent.
It works for me if I change date 20100101 in Gecko/20100101 in on user agent (same Gecko/20100102 works, only Gecko/20100101 does not work).

The server could be hacked to target only a Firefox user agent.

Hey, looks like you are on your way to a good start removing. I am familiar with the software. It is that something actually installed when you click on 'Accept' for applications installed using 'InstallIQ. It seems that (the Publisher) W3i uses InstallIQ Updater to manage the software installed by InstallIQ (their support team tells you that when send you an email). I looked on TRUSTe and they are certified to TRUSTe. (See link) My guess is that reputationally, they have some problems, but what I've read, they seem to be an OK company.
As far as to remove it, I could uninstall programs and features in my Vista. If this does not work, use the F8 trick Walter mentioned for a start in safemode and tear on program files by manually deleting.Quick Note: you can access your data files and the command menu/run start application program. Just type %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto or %ProgramFiles%. Who goes to where ever your computer considers each case.Hey, hope that helps. -

Your list of installed Plugins does not show that you have same Adobe Flash installed for Firefox.
