  I am recording in Adobe Audition CS6 using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 interface. All works fantastic for about two months, but suddenly, when I record a track in the multitrack environment, there is a lag in the newly recorded track. There is no lag in the monitoring or the helmet, but once the recording is made and I'm playing the multitrack back, the new track recorded a little behind existing channels. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is happening?

  Well, I think I'd start by making sure you have the latest version of the control mix/drivers for your interface of the Focusrite site downloads | Focusrite.  Also, I would check that in the process of Windows updates you haven't been accidentally spent Focusrite Ms. ASIO or WASAPI drivers. (Check in Edition/Preferences/Audio material and check the setting of the device class).

  I must point out that the computers are not connected to a server (just the router which is the same as it has always been). There is no hardware or changes to the software I know, but it could have been a Windows update a few days before. Since I tried to remove this update with a system restore, but it has not solved the problem. I installed MSE on all three computers and date and the display of the green box with a white tick.
