Why do I constantly encounter "Firefox is not responding?

This question, I had business with during about 2 months. I read the questions and comments about this problem with other users, and I think maybe I need to create a new Firefox profile. My computer knowledge is very limited, but I can follow instructions well enough. I wonder if I know what to do once I clicked on the start > run, then type (fiefox.exe Pei once that the menu drops down. I n don't know what version of fiefox I and I put, recall t create a new profile when I swithced to the firefox browser. I don't know my OS is Windows XP and I have Yahoo as my homepage (it's my e-mail for 5 years program). I noticed that Vyper did a lot of research on this particular problem. I think my modules are all updated and I have disabled 2. I just don, t know what to type if firefox asks me if I want to disable this or that, once I have started the process of creating a new profile. Y at - it assistance to me? I liked Firexox when I started first by using the browser, but now it's a pain, it stops on every 12 minuets.
Thank you very much

It is never a good idea to expose your e-mail address that easily on the internet as your own because you use it as a username on this forum (perhaps not deliberately, but simply entered the wrong field).

Only an administrator can remove the rear part or otherwise alter the username as stated on this forum.

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container.

Why my windows freeze and go does not respond when I try to install the msn photo on hotmail download tool?

The active x bar descends into the small window and freezes all windows open right there and will not respond. This happens when I open a new message and try to attach photos.

Things I tried but has not made a difference:

reinstalled IE 8, deleted the history of the browser, disk Cleanup, removed msn photo upload control, optimized IE8

    With xp media center

PS. This occurs also at any time the information down to install an active x on any site control

The only way to surf now with frustration is to use IE 8 NOT add optional

So I fixed that on my own and that's how I did it.

You must uninstall IE 8 completely which will bring you to IE 7 (in my case) and then install IE 8 via the site updates or microsoft.

Uninstallin IE 8 by going to:

    Start--->

    Control Panel--->

    Add Remove programs--->

    Scroll down to IE 8--->

    Click on delete.

IE8 updates must be removed also, if not then click the box 'To see the updates' on the top of the window to scroll down, look for the IE 8 security updates and delete.

Resart your computer and install IE 8.

This worked for me and may or may not work for you.

  • Download constantly 'Firefox is not responding', but I am unable to reset it.

Hello. My Firefox crashes constantly on. I get "Firefox does not. But I can't reset it. When I do, I always get the "well this embarrassing" error message.
The error indicates that Firefox cannot be reset due to a tab open recently. But the only tabs I opened Firefox Help pages!
How can I sort my Firefox, if I can't reset it?

    Hi IanFeachnie,
I'm sorry to hear that Firefox crashes when you try to reset. Have you considered a fresh reinstall?

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

WARNING: Do not use an uninstaller to third parties as part of this process. This could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. They can be retrieved easily unless they have been backed up on an external device! See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

Please report to say if this helped you!

    Thank you.

Hi, Shag, I gave you the instructions that you need, but you keep away from further discussions and lack of messages and your information is scattered. So you don't take the time to read even the threads you started! Nobody has the time to search your information everywhere in the forum, then you did not bother to answer when I answered you. You answered once, but until you take back any use.

If you are looking for a solution with a single click, you are looking for for a long time.

  • Firefox is not responding

I restarted the computer, Firefox starts but won't load any pages except in safe mode. It does not meet 'three horizontal bars' icon at the top left. I can do the Edit file... menu appears and the drop-down menus appear, but it wil not load pages.
In safe mode, it behaves normally in safe mode allows.
I scanned for malware with malwarebytes anti malware, nothing.
I downloaded the installer in FF and then deleted Firefox using the applet to the Panel control, reinstalled. No joy.
    Help please.

My problem was the tab Add on automatic unloading 0.8.9
When I have something to update restarted and the bug caused my browser for not responding, but it worked well in Mode safe.
So I reset Firefox but it took a few reboots so he can behave.
I started to add rear modules, and when I rebooted after the addition of
Auto unloading tab, the symptoms returned.
I removed it and the symptoms went away.
    I am convinced.
It is an Add on REALLY FUN, stopping crashing leak memory usage in previous versions of Firefox, but if the browser does not work, I can't use it.
    Fixed.

  • Firefox does not respond when you try to delete the history.

When I go to "clear recent history" and click on "Clear now" he says immediately that the program is not responding. Done the same after the restart. It is not let me clear my history, and I've tried 6 times, all with the same results... I have to close the program from the Task Manager. Is there a solution?

It is normal to take a long time to clear the history, particularly if you include clear memory Cache. Your hard disk activity probably going to be continuous. I would give it at least 2-3 minutes before you assume that Firefox has stopped working.

Try upgrading to Firefox 33.0.1 - there have been updates to performance, and some users claimed to have a better browsing experience.

    Or go to:

    • Help (or

      >

      ) > about Firefox

Or download a new copy to:

If this does not help, I wonder if it's just a slow script on the page. If that were the case there is no much you can do. You can try to download a NoScripttype extension, allow scripts globally, and then turn off one by one to make sure that you maintain the functionality of the page. But it is a funny way to do that is a single project (I guess you only encounter this problem only on this site does not).

  • Why the latest version of firefox insists not flash player is outdated and blocks read, but this is the last update

Flash Player Plugin between 11.0 and 11.7.700.169 (click-to-play) has been blocked for your protection.this is what firefox tells me but when I check the Add-ons Manager, it says version 15.0.0.239 is installed.how can get firefox to recognize the correct version

Hello, adobe has released a critical fix for a vulnerability in its version of the flash plugin, which is apparently already exploited in the wild. That's why firefox will block the precarious versions which run by default on Web sites for your protection. https://helpx.Adobe.com/security/products/Flash-Player/apsb14-27.html https://addons.Mozilla.org/Firefox/blocked/p794

Please update Adobe Flash Player version 16.0.0.235 as soon as possible, that you can download from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (use the windows exe for plugin-based browsers).

  • Why Firefox does not respond when I open it? It breaks down until I can change or delete my profile

Fortunately, I have used Firefox for about a year. Today, it could not open one or more of my four home page web sites. He could not start a new session or restore - a blank window opens and displays a message that responded No. I've deleted and reinstalled. I would like to change my profile, but the software does not work.

  • Firefox is not responding, freezes

After the upgrade to firefox 15.0, I got nothing trouble with freeze and become unresponsive. About whenever I used it the windows answers like, I can't close or do SOMETHING with firefox and Ctrl + Alt + Delete to close.

Often, if firefox freezes completely, trying to minimize or close, just buttons flashes constantly (animation of reversal on Win7).

I like firefox, but this problem is so bad, that I can not yet much use at all.

in this case I would stay right with flash 10.3 as long as he gets held by adobe.

  • Firefox keeps "Not responding" and my computer freezing

Lately, my Firefox browser has been freezing my entire computer. He repeated to me that it "does not", my mouse turns into the circular blue loading screen, I can't do anything, I can't even open the Task Manager, I have to take out the battery just for my computer turns off.

I scanned with Norton; does not detect anything. I even did the Norton Power Eraser, still nothing. I set Firefox to run the program as administrator and I thought it was fixed, but it wasn't.

I even update my plug-ins and for some reason, your site always tells me that I need to update the same, so I can't even count on that.

I noticed it happens when I'm on a Youtube page. Like when I pause a video.

It opens quickly, it runs quickly, he goes to some fast Web sites. It is this gene that really bothered me and considered me switch to Google Chrome.

If you do not want me, then tell me how to solve this problem.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Try to start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if it helps in case your system custom drivers or software security are causing issues.
