Why do I get "this copy of Windows is not genuine. Build 7601, Windows 7 "? Windows was preinstalled on my computer when I bought 7 years ago. This message just started yesterday.
The label on the bottom of my laptop is worn and unreadable. I prepare some restore disks when I bought it all first.
Also, is it safe to use with this message? I am more sensitive to the virus and malware?
When I ran the MGADia.exe, I received the following:

How can I fix "this copy of windows is not genuine" build 7601, windows 7
There are many moons, I decided to download windows 10, I didn't like it and came back to windows 7. I got this in the bottom right of my screen, "this copy of windows is not genuine" build 7601.
I looked on this site and found that everything I had to do was, go to start, type cmd, by ensuring that its in the administration, then I type SLMGR - REARM - but I got a dialog box displays indicating "has exceeded the maximum number of rearm, you must reinstall the OS before trying to rearm again."
I do not know what is the OS, and how is he said I reset too often when I don't?

all of a sudden I'm getting "this copy of Windows is not genuine" had this copy of Vista for years
I did no change that I know, I didn't run Windows updates, but all of a sudden, I get the black background on the desktop. I tried a system restore, but he said "he has failed." I keep getting guests to activate my copy of Windows. My PC is 6 years old, so I have no idea how to activate it. What can I do? I have Norton Antivirus, made available by the service provider Comcast.
Any suggestionsYour installation is a forgery - the installed key is a Hewlett-Packard computer, while yours is a motherboard ASUS retail.
The motherboard does not the SLIC table in BIOS to activate a key of ASUS.
Where she acquired this machine?
Is there a COA sticker on the case? -If Yes, for which version and edition of Windows is valid? If this isn't the case, you have the package licnese Windows of retail, including disks and the case and the key?
It is unusual for one such facility last this long without discovery - you have recently made the machine for service or had a friend to do some work on it?

Thanks in advanceyou have two problems:
1. you use an Acer OEM SLP key on a motherboard retail. that does not work.2. your license is OEM and cannot be transferred to a new motherboard. (the only exception is specified replacement manufacturers had to make defection)If you have a certificate of authenticity windows 7 you can try to change the product key of your COA and activate by phone. There is a chance that they will be activate it for you.OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates -

We know that it is because the BIOS date:
20061002000000.000000 + 000
Windows 7 was released in 2009, the date of your BIOS says 2006, which means probably that your system is provided with Windows Vista or Windows XP.
In addition, he is a well known Windows 7 Ultimate license which has been used all over the web:
Windows product key: *-* - WJ2H8 - R6B6D-7QJB7
Do a search on the web.
Thus, you must either charge your version of Windows that came on your computer (Vista or XP) or consider purchasing a license of Windows 7 genuine.
You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.
There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

Windows is not genuine build 7601 0xC004F200
I installed Windows 7 Home Premium a few months, probably in December. I used a key to activate it, and it was valid and worked for a while. Some time back I had a message saying something like "windows is not genuine". The key that I used to activate Windows was purchased online by my father, I'm not sure of the site, but I remember that the key was only $ 15 or more. Also, he bought a key for his computer (we were all two get windows 7 for our computers). I'm pretty sure that his computer still works authentic. Mine is wrong, that's the problem.

PLEASE HELP ME TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM MY PRODUCT KEY WAS VISIBLE O HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT, BUT THE KEY TEN FIRST MARKED AS XXXXX XXXXX SO THAT I CAN NOT ACTIVATE MY SYSTEM. HOW DO I FIND
. MY WINDOWS 7 IS NOT GENUINE PLS HELP TY GOD BLESS US ALL
When you request support, please provide the number full name or product model of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq made thousands of computer models. Without this information, it can be difficult, even impossible to help you solve your problem.
The information requested above are at the bottom of your computer or inside the battery compartment. , Please do not include your serial number. Please enter the product/model information consumer HP Online Support page and post it here for our review.
It is normally the result of one or more corrupted files 'Activation' of Windows or a problem with the BIOS of the computer. Dell, HP, Toshiba, Sony, computers etc that come with the use of Windows 7 a pre-activation SLP/OA 2.1 System. This system requires a BIOS with an SLP/SLIC 2.1 table to activate a SLP 2.1 OEM Windows 7 product key and a "certificate" of SLP 2.1 OEM. If any on these is damaged or missing, Windows will become "non-genuine".
Back up all your personal data and files, then recovering your computer to a factory State. This should solve the problem. If this does not resolve the problem, you may have a problem with the SLIC table in BIOS. Please report back with the step that you tried and the results.
Alternatively, if you still can still read the product key 25 character on the Microsoft COA affixed to your computer, try to use it to activate your computer.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

My HP netbook suddenly started to display this error message on the desktop.
Online technical support says my (authentic) product key is not supported in my country (United Kingdom)What has changed to make my software is not more authentic? Google suggests maybe something to do with SP1, but I can't find a coherent solutionHave you tried to restart by phone?
How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)
1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
(5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
(6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

What Antivirus utility you installed?
What's your date and time correct?
Please run the Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics Tool then copy and paste the results into an answer here for further analysis:

The error I get now is error 1706: Setup cannot find the required files. He sends me to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\1033\SETUP. CHM - a file that does not exist on my computer.
During the update process, I kept getting messages asking the CD, I just enter the 3 recorded updates through, and each "failed".
